note: once again, antis are at work !

if you have watched the series you’d know it yourself what a masterpiece it is. idk what some of these people are talking about. and this is coming from someone like me who is very picky with watching stuff.

my assessment:
the drama is a slow burn, and takes 2-3 episodes for plot development, but that’s it. it only gets better from there. it will give you butterflies. i’m absolutely in love with Dr Gu Wei. Man is so idealistic just like an unattainable dream or like a dreamt-of-perfection. you just can’t get enough of him.

the drama is a perfect amalgamation of fluff, steamy scenes ( xz really owned those kissing scenes duh), comedy (gosh, their first date, i died of laughter and embarrassment, in a good way), and heavy angst (in the second last ep).

i absolutely adored the father-daughter relationship, hence, the last 2 episodes left me in shambles. but i love, how xz took over from there like a responsible adult. his skills once again proved that he isn’t just a pretty face like many others. he lives his character, and makes the audience experience it as well.

i will never get over this drama. this was my 3rd watch, and still i can’t get enough of it. totally understand the hype, and why friends were going gaga over it. totally worth it.

ps: ignore the negative feedbacks and go for it. the comment section is filled with xz’s antis, probably because their faves aren’t doing much of work to focus on.

also, it’s almost infuriating how some ppl just watched 1-2 episodes and imposed their opinion on the whole show, like did not even let the plot develop, which eventually gets fantastic and so engrossing.

this was my 3rd watch and gonna watch it again in a month or so. this is now my comfort show.

note: looks like antis are at work again ! well, this isn’t the first time that they’re fake- rating xz’s work, they have always been doing it, but that says a lot about their faves as well who might be so boring that they’re obsessing over xz. anyway the drama is doing incredibly well in China and is a blockbuster hit, and if you watch it you’d know why.

my assessment:
i’m so taken aback by the plot, the acting and by the visual vfx. i’m absolutely in love with shi ying– his values, moral principles, his demeanour. you can tell he carries a fragile heart under that tough veil. the emotional connection with the character is so deep and instant that at moments you can’t help but wonder if you could just tear through the screen to enter into that realm of reality and share his pain and hug him– it’s that realistic. this probably has a lot to do with xiao zhan’s acting skills. this person is a gem; his dedication, efforts, and willingness to conquer the character is clearly evident. having watched almost all of his shows now, i love how he is well-versed with playing diverse characters, and not just play them for the sake of it, but also live it and experience it. this goes on to prove that he’s not just a ‘pretty face’ like many others. he is willing to give it all that it takes.

gosh, i’m not just watching, but living and experiencing it. i’m already so engrossed. can’t wait for the next episodes to air, because it’s only getting better.
