If a drama is on the first page of MDL top shows, it must be somehow worth your time. I passed this drama in 2017 because I do not know the actors and it is a prison story. Now I have some time and was looking for a worthwhile drama to watch and decided to watch it. I am really glad that I did because this is the kind of drama that stays with you for another 2 days after watching it. All the characters came alive as if you were with them throughout the journey and after the drama ended it was hard to let them go.
The storyline would be great for an action packed 2 hour movie but not enough for a drama of 16 episodes. too draggy and bor...ing. The directing and editing need so much work. Sometimes I thought I missed sth because I was not paying attention but no it is directed just like that.
this is a great watch. now moving onto the english version. I think korean version is very well adapted even in case of showing family dynamics just based on ep 1 of eng version.
This is my most favorite drama since the 2001 Laughing in the Wind. Well made dramas are hard to find. The untamed is really worth the praise. Xiao Zhan - I have never seen such an actor so expressive with emotions and looks good at the same time (don't forget the killer smile). Rewatch value is worth just by watching him act. He now rises to the level of (if he is in it, I have to check it out). Costumes and cinematography are excellent. I sometimes just watch each and every costume in detail and how well they are made for each character. I am gonna miss you all.

They change some aspects of the story but leave the other parts so really make characters unreasonable. Watching it ruins the beautiful memories I have had so much that I couldn't go beyond ep 8 I think after the beach scenewith lei (that scene is directed so poorly). I just went back and watch the old one. :)
I'm thinking of making a list of his behaviour but that'd mean I'd to rewatch it.
I think this is the failure on the part of the writers and director and makes dms's actions groundless violence. F4 is supposed to be bullies to whoever crosses their eyes, spoiled kids of rich parents(not loved), gets into fights and solve everything with money (the extreme). If u remove that (bullying) and shoot everything else as the original story, the characters become very unreasonable (DMS becomes plain rude and violent like having personality disorder or anger management issue eg. throwing the food box to someone's face, slamming sc to a wall and molesting when he saw her with lei). When he meets sc, he starts to change -big change (meaning not a bad person in the first place but as a result of not being loved as a child). That's when all the viewers fall in love with him. Viewers who knew the background story did not notice this but obvious when u do not know the story. That scene is not even necessary in this version.
