Waaaaah!!! i LOVVVEEEED episode 16! All my anger from episode 15 dissipated lol.

They wrapped the story beautifully. Honestly! It was nothing short of perfect.

I really believed I got to know the people of Gongjin and I will miss them so much! Each and every one of the characters are so different and memorable.

My emotions were all over the place this episode but overall it made me so happy.

Well done, director/staff/and finally cast of Hometown Cha Cha Cha!! Superb! 10/10 will watch again in the future :)

I feel this!!!! I feel so much anger for Du Shik… he got traumatised too despite it not being his fault.. and bears all of it himself..

Same, I agree! I understand that the writer was probably trying to make this more realistic (ie one doesn’t have to get an apology to move on..but still..) they wrote Du Shik’s character as being someone so reliable and loveable that when people misunderstand him it’s so…….frustrating. Double with the fact that he is just too kind so he would accept everything as his fault.

I completely agree. Du Shik received unnecessary trauma for those years of his life..and they couldn’t even apologise.. How much ego does one have?? I guess because Du Shik is such a loveable character that you can’t help but project the feeling of protectiveness and wanting to shun away all those that harm him sigh.

That was really heartwarming….he had acted so proper for the past 13 episodes and suddenly this episode he allowed himself to act his age and revealed his feelings towards his parents.. that was well acted <3

I hate them who blame Du Shik! Their stupid reactions (yes I get they were traumatised then) gave Du Shik his unnecessary trauma over the years when it wasn’t even his fault!!!

And now many years later, both of them didn’t even apologise..? Bullshit..

I’ve never wanted to punch some characters more in my life….grrr

Does anybody hate Do Ha right now?????? Ughhhhhhh it wasn’t DuShik’s fault!!!

I called it with Cho Hui! But it upsets me so much that she has to be the 'martyr' so to speak. She deserves happiness too.

Also, what was that ending?! Didn't expect Doha (a character I didn't even remember the name until last night's episode) to punch Du Shik! What could be so bad? Did Du Shik really cause the (presumed) accident that left one person dead and another quadraplegic? (Or was it paraplegic)

Du Shik has gone through so much trauma.. he has already blamed himself for his grandfather's passing. It must have taken a lot for him to trust his friend and his wife again and be truly happy.. and then the tragedy happened. It doesnt help that late friend's wife had blamed him in her grieving state "It should have been you who died!" That must've unpacked a LOT of hurt that he's probably tried to unlearn (ie it wasn't his fault his grandpa died) and caused a double even triple whammy of emotions.. on top of that he himself was grieving for the loss of his friend.. to the point it took 5 years for him to recover!! The PTSD..

Aih. Kim Seon Ho deserves an award fot his performance. He says so much without saying much. I could feel Du Shik's pain. I'm glad Hye Jin is there for him. This new trauma will haunt him big time. And now it is even out in the open to the whole village!! But I also think that because of this, the whole village will be there for him, and I hope he feels strong enough with them by his side to truly break down and then build himself back up again.

Oh man what a ride. It would have been 10/10 for me, but that ending spoiled it.. it was Bong Hwan whom everybody fell in love with, be it as friends or in the King’s case, lover.

It was too abrupt.. i wish they at least had a proper closure. What a beautiful friendship he shared with his two main court maids.. sigh. Im just.. its a sad ending for me.

Ahh it was so cute to see the interaction between HyeJin’s father and Du Shik <3 it was such a heartwarming scene especially the last part when he whispered in his ear, implying that he shouldn’t be casual with him ie he might be his in law in the future? Haha.

Also - is it just me or do I get the vibes that Cho Hui is in love with Hwa Jeong and that’s why she never marries - Hwa Jeong knows but chooses to keep silent because she doesn’t like her like that other than a friend, and that she loves Yeong Guk but chooses to divorce him as she feels that Yeong Guk never really got over his first love..?
