the point of ieyasu's character in the drama that he, by nature, is a pacifist. going against that temple was dumb and petty mistake he did, bc the role of a warlod was forced to him. he's fish out of water that had to adapt to live in the surface to survive. idk why you have problem with that. it's just a story, not history

It was a fun one! Tho it feels icky to me how both older characters ended up with such young partners

i'm against generalization of any nation, be it good or bad. but it's aggravating when japanese media are showing off how nice and respectful they are, when in reality, it's basically forbidden to discuss publicly structural racism, war crimes, the genocide against ainu, etc. every other nation do all that too, but not every nation is as good at selling good image. they are selling that image to themselves too, so when someone will bring up any bad stuff- they won't believe it.

it's very thrilling and entertaining drama. i'm enjoying as everyone else, but I don't like how it trying to sell good japan's image. japanese in real world treat badly foreigners, natives and zainichi koreans all the time, as every other nation, but hide it behind polite tatemae and good image. i hope for everyone else will just enjoy good action and thriller, nothing more

this drama did embraced western sensibilities tho. they show how they allied with USA and show muslim people mostly as terrorist, like in some american blockbuster
