You’ve got to give this one a try. I only started watching it because the MDL rating was consistently high throughout the broadcast, and wow...I'm so glad I did. I went in knowing nothing about the drama or the actors, and only found out later that it had already finished filming back in 2023. But it completely blew me away. So far, it's hands down the best Asian drama of 2025 for me

Trust me, you will get even more annoyed, but you will gain his respect later. Just continue on your journey.

Shoutout to the entire cast and every single crew member. Everything from the acting to the costumes, the music, the story, the visuals… pure perfection.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this drama. Easily my favorite of 2025 so far. 10/10, no notes. 👏

Back then, a woman’s reputation was extremely fragile,, even the appearance of impropriety, like being the subject of another man’s portrait, could seriously damage her honor and her husband’s standing. Intent didn’t matter as much as how it looked to others.

Also, art wasn’t just casual in those times. Drawing someone, especially in detail. was seen as an intimate act, almost like a silent confession. It implied deep admiration or romantic feelings, which made it even more inappropriate if the woman was already married. It wasn’t just a sketch..it was a symbol of emotional attachment.

As for the ML, I agree his actions like choking or breaking things were extreme and not justifiable, but his action didn’t come out of nowhere. He’s a man deeply scarred by love and loss, and the drama clearly tries to show how those emotions shaped his behavior. It’s not just possessiveness, it’s fear, grief, and a attempt to protect what he loves.
