I agree with you about what the most suitable for ji-ung will be, I think he's going to do the nature doco he wanted to do for so long (I mean there is a reason why this doco was mentiond so many times), and it will be his time for healing.

I think people miss why ji ung feels the way he feels. I think they made it very clear that he had feelings to ys before ung did, and once he saw ung did he gave up on even trying to get her, by doing so he feels like he was giving up his own chance for happiness.
He is not just "having a crush for his friend's ex" but she was his first love and he fucked up the situation himself trying to pretend he was really fine with it and that fucked him up for the future
