the livestream was on a chinese platform called “douyin” about half a year ago, it wasn’t him announcing a second season it was sort of a qna as the anime blew up in china, he said that the anime did really well, he wants to make a second season and he might change the ending if they do fully adapt it and the reason why they can’t make the second season is primarily because of budgeting.

the anime was pretty good. Also apparently on a livestream the director said he didn’t like the manhwa’s ending so he was planning to change it.

there are a lot of easter eggs in the show btw. Tou can watch it a second time or just look up an explanation about the ending
