a rant about veneers
This drama started with a geart story, good plot, amazing characters wit personalities, however i think it fell off at the end. The ML is an amazing actor, I've been a fan for a few years and he embodies royalty like no other, perhaps a little too self-righteous. But the FL feels a little boring, not to mention her crying is weird, like she's trying to look pretty no matter what. And i don't mean to criticize her looks but does she have veneers? i know it's kind of a trend lately, she looks way too modernized to be in a historical setting.Something about historical dramas that i personally don't enjoy are open endings, it feels like there's more to the story but it is already finished and I'm waiting for something else to happen because the story kept building up. Did they really end up together? Does the King forgive his mother? Does the crown prince ascend the throne? Did the king choose a Queen? they kept bothering him about that even i wanted him to choose one.
But what i really liked about this drama was the ost, I feel like all TVN productions always excels in soundtrack songs

like a group project being put together just before the deadline
the first season was great, perhaps they kept repeating that one imagine dragons song every 5 minutes but at least it had a plot.it's insane how it went downhill after the success of the first season. characters dying left and right, introducing new ones but made no effort to make the audience care for them.
this season feels like a filler, only killing characters for shock value and keep things interesting. and speaking of shock value, that fucking baby fetus monster human hybrid?????? it made want to punch into the screen and kill myself.
but I'm not gonna lie, that one scene at the end between (evil?) hyunsu and eunyu had me at the edge of my seat, more so that the rest of the season.

Don't be fooled
I was barely two episodes in when i saw the reviews on this page, the low score actually had me intrigued since i know Ji Sung's dramas are usually the best and everyone was criticizing this one, so i kept watching till the end.The plot kept the flow at the right pace, while it might seen like an endless loop to keep Wooshin from finding the Adamas, it made me focus more on Suhyun's POV.
I was doubting if the drama was actually bad, but boy are the reviews wrong. I admit this is not an easy watch, but this storyline is for the ones who pay attention to every little detail, the ones who like to theorize everything, but perhaps i just insert myself in the plot way too deep that i keep guessing stuff before they actually happen.
That ending does scream season 2 though; can't believe it took me almost 3 years after it's airing to start watching this drama, now at this point I'm not so sure this can get another season, but my hope prevails.

the concept of marriage pissing me off
i watched spoilers on social media and thought this was going to be THE revenge drama but man this just pissed me off.Maybe i was expecting an emotionally intelligent FL and tried to understand her decisions but man my personal morals are not that flexible i guess.
There's nothing i hate more than a cheating partner and when the ML kept the affair a secret after the wife asked more than once when she slept whit the ML's friend i just thought "he got that one coming".
The audacity to come back and wanting to "take revenge on everyone who did him wrong" i hate too, but i guess men will be men even in fiction, i was appalled when i saw that scene i even cursed outloud lol.
I'm currently on episode 12 and still mad as hell, everyone's actions just pisses me off, the son, the neighbors, the chairman, the doctor and the people from the women'ssociety, i can't stand anyone; it really feels like living in a small town where i know everyone who lives there.
I'll try to finish the series out of spite but i don't think i'll enjoy the rest of it or the ending in general.
EDIT: i'm currently watching the last episode and oh dear god i really don't want to hear the ML's sob story, if you didn't want to abandon your son maybe you shouldn't have cheated on the first place. Now you go and "kidnap" your own son.
Then at the dinner you say you forgive your ex wife and she should too? Men have nothing but the audacity lmaoooo i'm actually glad the second wife left him too.
EDIT: and now he's jumping in front of a truck right before his son 💀 and the son runs away and goes missing for a year 💀 man this plot is all over the place it's so funny i don't know if i like it or hate it anymore.

messy plot, messy story and a messier editing.
while a cheating storyline seems to be an entertaining plot for this series, i couldn't force myself to continue watching this drama for more than 5 episodes, not saying the plot it's bad; but there's something about how they're telling the story that makes this drama impossible to keep watching after a few minutes into the episode.i couldn't even recognize when they were showing me a flashback. the editing felt like i was time-traveling back and forth; i even kept messing up two of the male leads because of this.
this drama falls into the ones that aren't worth watching because of bad editing and directing rather than bad acting or even storytelling
also, i would've liked if they made it seems like the reason for the divorces weren't all for their spouses cheating, like... get a little more creative there.
