I think the problem is lu mao is not fully mature yet. She is just in class 10 (may be i forget) . She is a little immature girl who wants her family to stay together for the rest of her life and never separate. But you can see her character development, in the end she understands him and doesn't try to hold him back.
Unrequited love can be upsetting but it's not like CL figured out XXJs feelings for him and iced her out completely.…
In ep 21 - 26 , • Shiyi finds out that xaio ju likes CL. • Shi yi's blood phobia is nearly gone all thanks to xiao ju. • shi yi and xiao ju's friendship is developed a lot. Xiao ju finally takes him seriously as a friend. • CL decides to confess his love to lin you. And he decorates the rooftop. But in the end of ep 26 , lin you is missing. They tried to find her but can't until now.

Its not actually the same! The stroyline is same because they both are based on the same novel. The many scenes are different here, its actually a remake version of its own Taiwanese version (2001)

And is not like she doesn't want to move on from her unrequited love but she can't as far as it normal! And yes it's true that at this time if shi yi confesses his love, she will rejected! They can't show us magically that she was madly in love with someone then suddenly fallen for the ML. Atleast give her sometimes after shi yi's confession to realise her true feelings towards shi yi and to make her believe that shi yi is important for her. Novel's Xiao Ju was stubborn and she took so much time to release it!! I hope drama's Xiao Ju will release it soon!
