They didn't change the ending of the novel but added more in the end.
Ep 34,where Shi Yi went to the abroad and Xiao Ju couldn't meet him for the last time was the end of the novel. The novel starts with future Xiao Ju living her single life and suddenly found something from her past and remember those old days.
In the novel, they didn't tell us anything about ever they meet again or not.

From ep 35, all the future scenes was made up by the screenwriter of the drama, it was not in the novel.
