OH! And to every male on this comment section, I hope you 𫵠and your š«µmale friends got home early today! so women can walk back home more safely! š¤Ø
I started watching the movie looking for similarities and differences with the series but by the end I was so glad I stopped caring about the comparisons. I donāt think either version is perfect or ābetterā over the other, theyāre truly meant to be enjoyed back to back and compensate each other on some aspects! Like the show left me wanting more of their friendship and the movie left me wanting the rest of the story, so in the end I got cumulatively what I wanted, except maybe more movies that adapt whatās left of Go Youngās journey. Iām blindly hopeful on that ācause Steve Noh and Go Eun embodied the characters so well yet still managed to portray their own version of them and I LOVED what they did here, so please someone let them have the big breakthrough in the industry that they deserve.
To anyone thinking of going into this hoping to see the same script they got in the first two episodes of the show, do yourselves a favor and try to keep an open mind! For the two to be the same product would be redundant and kinda pointless. And to anyone whoās maybe wondering whether they need to watch the movie or the series first, Iād highly recommend starting with the movie so then you can have the rest of the story in the show to look forward to.
I canāt get over how good Yoon Do Jin did as Ye Chan⦠and youāre telling me itās his first acting gig? š„¹The way he navigates comedic instances and dramatic emotional depths canāt be taught, that right there is TALENT⦠and itās his only work so far? Brooo, get out of here and get this man A JOB!!!!!šIām so looking forward to whatever he does next. End of rant, sorry that I got higher serotonin levels watching this than cat videos on TikTok.
But seriously, how does this not get more hype and higher ratings? Itās such a cute little gem. Smart script, beautifully shot, well acted. Give it a chance bro!!!
Yup, thatād be an interesting conversation to have, especially considering how Iām sure that being in the medical field kinda gives you somewhat of a god complex. Personally I canāt see this going full Doc murderer either, so thereās probably two different people administrating euthanasia: Doc will be justified with having consent from the patients while the real murdererās just doing it without even asking. I mean, thereās nothing wrong morally if Kanās asking for their permission, but legally? Thatās where I think Wasan will get heated up pretty quickly. āI wonāt get in the way of your job but donāt you get in the way of mineā or whatever he said to Kan in the last episode basically
Yep, him and the shady nurse. We see the prologue scene where Thiu/Wasan kills that dying deer out of mercy. So,…
I completely get your POV and itās probably the same point the showās trying to get across. When I call it a not-so-simple moral dilemma, I just mean that socially this is still quite the sensitive matter not only in Thailand but pretty much all around the globe. There are no easy answers and different people will have different outlooks on whatās right or wrong. Iām all for making your own decisions in regards to your own life (including relatives and pets, since you know them best and truly have their well-being at heart) but I can see how somebody else might see this differently, cases in which either someone doesnāt want to make that choice for someone else when they canāt actively make it (thatās a big responsibility) or cases like the one portrayed in the show of some medical staff making that decision without the patientās or relativesā consent. People should be given the option (the same way Kan did with that elder in the third episode) but also be free to decide if they want it for the themselves/their loved ones or not. Basically there need to be regulations that take into account the different perspectives people may have of the issue is my personal take here!
Okay Boss is giving main character vibes ahhh. Also the attention to detail on this series is just great, I think…
Given how they started the episode with him, Iād have to agree! Didnāt expect for them to introduce what it looks like a vital character on the third episode and especially such an intriguing one. I also agree on how good the scripts are so far, we can kinda see the budgetās not that big but theyāre putting every coin exactly where they need to be.
yeahhh but iām not really sure if pulling a Hannibal is something theyād do since, well, it wouldnāt land so great with the general public. that would take some real guts and make the romance part infinitely more tricky to handle than it already is. still, i have hope!

supporting his boo š that killed me honestly but in all seriousness, iām really liking the whole theme around euthanasia and iām really hoping they land it home ācause itās not that simple of a moral dilemma. i have high hopes nonetheless!
But WHY does that toilet seat have butterflies on it? š
Anyway, a few thoughts after episode 3:
- probably among the strongest acting Iāve seen in Thai BLs so far? Havenāt seen āem all but Iām kinda shocked at how good everyone is, even the secondary characters. Nurse is killing it! That āhappy birthdayā scene was the sweetest thing Iāve seen all day, and I do watch a lot of cats on TikTok - I can see that production may not have had the biggest of budgets out there (compared to other stuff like 4 Minutes which was visually stunning) but they were so smart about it: the castingās excellent, the editingās killing it, the sets are good enough for what the story needs, and⦠- the writing: from what I gather itās based on some other source material, so thatās a great help, but whoeverās writing them scripts know what theyāre doing. the pacingās really top notch, the scenes donāt drag on anything unnecessary and itās hit after hit after hit. itās some truly compelling storytelling because we kinda know where itās going but at the same time we really donāt. I usually donāt like it when murder mysteries play too much with their viewers in terms of ādeceivingā you into suspecting who the killer is, but I feel like theyāre managing to keep the plot really interesting, and even if the big reveal were to be obvious, I feel like theyāre doing a good job in terms of everything else to make the viewing experience rewarding. Plot-wise I really have nothing to say thus far, itās great stuff - IF I HAD TO COMPLAIN, I do feel like with only 8 episodes (right?) and so much story to tell, they kinda had to compromise a bit when it comes to the romance. I really wish it wasnāt this insta-lovey. I mean, it isnāt if we compare it to most of the standards in the BL world, but still Iād have preferred it if they had brought it down a notch in a few instances. Let them spend a bit more time together for that kind of tension to develop naturally. In the first two episodes it felt a bit forced at times BUT I get that they needed those scenes to prepare the ground for the kind of emotional space they needed for some of the scenes in this last episode, like when Wasan talks about his mother with Kan and the whole phone exchange at the end. I get that and I get that to some extent theyāre both āfakingā it (Wasan to cover his suspicions and Kan to cover his ass) so itās a compromise⦠but then was that ālet me fasten your seatbelt for youā scene really necessary in that context? šand the music too? šitās these little things that throw me off a bit - but all in all: DOCTOR PLEASE INJECT ME SOME ANESTHESIA CAUSE I CANāT WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK!

Episode 3 was a blast and I hope it gets even better. Iām so lucky to be watching this right at the time Miseinen is also airing in Japan ācause they have the potential of making my top 3 BLs of the year, the other one being Love In The Big City.
But WHY does that toilet seat have butterflies on it? š
Also, WHY didnāt I realize sooner that this is also made by the same people behind Manner of Death and Triage? No wonder it felt so familiar! Mind you, I still havenāt watched Triage but of course this felt so familiar⦠yet better! They really stepped up their game with this one ācause MoD pales in comparison in every department.
