Not y’all complaining about the lack of romance though… ok it was subtle, but lacking???? these mfs been flirting since day one, they have KISSED then netflix and chilled, were even planning on moving in together??? and if that’s not enough 😭one’s also GOING TO PRISON out of love for the other one 🤠like whatttt
Anyway, I gave this a 7.5 and it wasn’t bad in any way, but it’s so interesting to see people call this the best KBL of the year. Especially after watching both Love In The Big City and Let Free The Curse Of Taekwondo.
I wasn’t impressed with its execution as a whole but the ending saved it for me, after making it clear that the sim idea was actually about making Myung-Ha give himself a chance in life and at love.
The romance though? Imma be honest: the whole time I was hoping for Yeo-Woon and Sang-Won to get together 😁 like Thailand needs to listen to me VERY CAREFULLY and make that happen in a remake 😭
No, I agree! My argument for disliking his sight recovery isn’t based on its credibility but rather on personal preference and on my own interpretation of the meaning behind the story. While I’m happy for Day to now live an “easier” life, the show did a great job at representing disability and I would have loved if they kept it going till the end, even just as a beacon of hope for all those who can’t be blessed by the same faith. Also it’s kinda pointless (other than having faith in happy endings) to have this overarching narrative of accepting yourself and your body as they are, to then strip it away at the end. It sorta feels an erasure not only of the hardship but also of all the progress he made and could still make as a person because of it. His vision loss is then downgraded to just another plot device, instead of it still being something that defines the main character and the relationship he has with the world. But don’t get me wrong, all in all I don’t mean to make this a bigger deal that it is ‘cause it isn’t. I was much more bothered by the way the breakup was handled and how disjointed the whole time skip felt. It’s still lovely as a whole but I’m just saying there were ways it could have been more meaningful as an epilogue. And that’s why I choose to believe this was all made to be faithful to how someone ripped the last page of Last Twilight because they probably didn’t like the ending, so I’ll make sure to skip those last coupla episodes on future rewatchs 😁
Ok now WHY wouldn’t they give us a director’s cut version of this ep so we can actually learn that handcuffs…
with three episode left, i don’t believe for a second it’s the nurse. she did know about the pen and would have reason to throw the doctor under the bus… though wouldn’t that put her under the microscope too, since they work together? i kinda trust her good intentions and pretty sure she wouldn’t kill without the consent of the patient. so who else knows about the pen?
