1+1 = 1

Ok so before l start,I want to say that l waited for it for so many days and maybe therefore my hopes were very high.
And l want to say that it did not disappoint.

Summary: The story focuses on a hot tempered woman in her 30s living with her in laws and her husband who lack confidence in dealing with anything. The story is not only of growth as a couple but also as individuals.

Acting: I became a fan of Alice after watching copycat killer. Then l watched Someday or one day and started fangirling more over her.So obviously l had high hopes for this drama since it shows more of her versatileness.I watched Jasper in 2- 3 dramas but was never his big fan.In this show l can surely say that Jasper was the show stealer.I am starting to love him more.Talking about the mother in law's acting,l will purely call it the most natural acting among them .She managed to give off a evil- innocent vibe .Other supporting casts were also good ( especially the girl playing lu)

What l liked:
1.I loved the growth very much. The pace was exactly what l needed.Nothing more or less.
2.The way they showed the problems. We are always indulged into our own problems that sometimes we can knowingly or unknowingly hurt others.
3.The chemistry.Never did l think that Jasper can play this type of role so well ( it was completely new to me) . They made the marriage look so real.I especially love the part when she says that " we meet millions of people in our lives but we only fall in love with one because they love the real you".
4.The ending. The bicycle scene holds a lot of details. The way they were going together and then on different paths and again together to the same destination. It was the most memorable.
5.The cinemagraphy. The environment was cozy ,it felt like home.

Things l did not like:
1.I wished we got more son- mother moments.Honestly it was cute at times .
2. They focused too much on the supporting characters.
3.I need more l ling and you you moments.lt was not enough 😭😭😭
4.Some topics remained unclosed.
5.More daughter in law and mother in law moments.

Don't thik anything and give it a chance. You won't be disappointed. It will give you a rollercoaster ride of emotions.Sometimes it is not about being perfect but accepting what's imperfect.

So much can happen in a blink of eye

Before starting I want to state that this is my first drama review. So if there is any mistake please spare that.

Title: The title is the first thing that attracted me .So in Nirvana in fire ,Mei Changsu is basically the flames. Title is too catchy to ignore.

Cast: I cannot imagine anyone except Hu Ge in that role. The same goes with all the other actors playing their roles.I could feel the ambition in every character.Especially the female leads nailed it.

Story: Perfect. It is the only word that can explain the draam. We can never get another Mei Changsu who is willing to sacrifice everything literally everything for his country and his men.The way he shows his love and care to ni hung and jinyang cannot be explained. On that note Yujin's and jingrui's friendship is underrated here. Every character is subjected to injustice even in the end but they served justice. Jinyang is quiet stupid I guess. But still a good human being.Concubine Jing is truly something.Without her help it would have been difficult for Mei Changsu to serve his purpose. I sympathized with Prince Yu in the end.At least I wanted his last wish to save his unborn child could be granted.Jingrui's story is also quite unique, thrilling and mysterious.Ni hung being a strong female is portrayed well.I think Banruo was the female version of Mei Changsu with more evilness. This drama is male centred but the actual masterminds are all female except Mei Changsu. In the c dramaland Mei Changsu aka lin Shu aka Xiao Shu is still my favourite character. Not to mention that Mei Changsu is my biggest crush till date.

Ending: Bittersweet. And that is what makes it more perfect. The way jingyan removed the red cloth assuming that Lin Shu is never coming back ,the last conversation between nihung and Lin Shu ,the re naming of the army refering to Mei Changsu,is hard it throw out of my mind.

Music was beautiful.I am definitely watching it again. And everytime you watch it just keep attention to the dialogues because you may have to re watch the scene to understand what is actually happening.
