I was kinda hope when they showed the comment that said thanking Jen Yao for killing those bastards was the woman who went crazy because her nude video was spread by Ouyang Ti and his friends, (she was the only eyewitness involved at the scene and still alive) I hoped she would recover and have the courage to tell the world through her post about what happened to hsiao tung and jen yao in 2007. But sadly it seems like the one who left that comment was not her, it was just another victim of Ouyang Ti and his friends

Yeah honestly i'm a bit upset about that too, public will only knew jen yao as coldblooded serial killer forever. But if you notice the detail, the production of this documentary had a chance to be released because Ouyang's family (the mother) had invested in it, of course they didn't want to release anything using the money of the perpetrator's parents involved in the documentary because they still has a conscience. Even if the producer and her parents were stubborn about releasing this documentary no matter what, the chance of it being released is 0% because of the investor factor. From the investor's perspective, there is no benefit whatsoever from making this issue into a documentary to make money. What's more, the investors will also doubt the facts in this documentary because there are no interviews with Jen Yao or Hsiao Tung. The only alternative ending that I can think of after watching this, is through video content, Hsiao Tung's life and future are ruined because of the content of her video. The people around Hsiao Tung should also use video content to protect her and reverse the facts, for example by releasing some kind of live streaming interview with Hsiao Tung's parents and her best friend. It's a shame the writer didn't think of using other media to reveal the truth and only focused on the documentary.
For me the part i was way better. Part ii didn’t turn out to be the way I have wanted it.. very confusing story…
The decision to cancel the documentary was made before she took her own life tho. I think the writer wants to convey the whole point of every action related to this sensitive topic, any action that will be taken, the party that will be most affected is the victim. If the documentary was released before she committed suicide, would it guarantee that the victim would not be emotionally affected and not take that action? It would be even more tragic if she ended up committing suicide due to the impact of the documentary being released. And if the documentary was released after FL committed suicide, the documentary would only give the impression that it was intended to sway public opinion that would be more detrimental to FL and ML even though they were no longer alive, Since jen yao has never admitted or said anything regarding what he did is related to the hsiao tung's rape case, and hsiao tung has not given any interviews to support what the production team knows and has gathered, there is nothing to support the facts that the production team will present. Hsiao tung's parents as sources? If the public knew that the case never went to court because of her parents' past actions, it would make it easier for the public to view her family even more negatively, as they would see them releasing the documentary just to vent their failure to fight for justice for their daughter or to make money from Jen Yao's popularity as a serial killer.
I wonder why hsiao tung never appeared in front Jen yao in tien-ching's (Tian Qing) timeline? When she aware that her other personality (Pin Yu) had met jen yao and she tried to get out to meet him in the pt. 1 that's why pin yu seemed like she was possessed. It would be better if she appeared in front of him even if only once in that timeline, she would know that Jen Yao never broke his promise to stay with her and not let go of her hand 😭
I was deeply moved by how Hsiao Tung's parents supported their daughter to continuing her life, even though her personality had been shattered into pieces. That's the parents love for you; even if their daughter had forgotten them due to trauma, they were always stand by her side.
*Although, until now, I don't support their decision to drop the lawsuit in 2007. Looking at it now, the threat of an attempted murder lawsuit from Ouyang's family would probably not exceed 10 years in prison, compared to the 16 years of pain they had to endure watching their daughter suffer in the dark 🥺
I just notice something after rewatching this. Jen yao really got 7yrs prison when stabbed Ouyang in the high school? Wtf how could it be so long? Just because he fought in prison? The adults in this series are truly cruel and disgusting. Then maybe hsiao tung also didn't know that jen yao was imprisoned for 7 yrs????? I can't imagine what will happen in the second part if they will show what hsiao tung went through during those 7 years without jen yao by her side. It's so sad😭
