I love how I triggered multiple people by saying that Soo Hyun is a horrible actor. Fills my soul♥ Well, his awards are nothing but fraudulent and those who know how these award shows in Korea work, know that as well lol. Y'all are such keyboard warriors it's cute.

Soo Hyun is really a horrible actor. I'm shocked that some of you can stand his overexaggerated acting and even call it "phenomenal". Honestly, Ji Won is good, but she'd do sooooo much better with any other male lead.

I thought this is it's own standalone story set in korea while what happened in the anime still happens, what…
well we are talking about k-dramas here, so american spin-offs have nothing to do with this. also, i wouldn't really even dub this k-drama as spin-off. it's not really a spin-off, it's just a loose adaptation based on the manga/anime of the original creator. so it's really incomparable to better call saul (which by the way is horribly boring when compared to breaking bad) or house of the dragon.

i know it's not supposed to be the same, but spin-offs suck. there hasn't been a successful one in years and this is a great example of that.

K-dramas this year are crazy disappointing. I've waited for this drama FOR SO LONG and they ended up turning it into... THIS? Those who have watched the anime know that the anime is 100 times superior to this. Honestly, this felt redundant and unnecessary. They changed the whole plot and story, and kept only the "concept" from the original work. Seriously disappointing. I think I'm gonna take a break from K-Dramas for some time because it's been a long time since any was worth watching.

It was a decent drama, but definitely not great. It's solid 7 out of 10. They did a good job capturing some really wonderful moments, but there were many downsides to this drama. One of them being the characterization of Suk Ku's character. I'm so over the "vengeful-and-annoyed detective" trope at this point, so his character really didn't do it for me (although he looked really good, I gotta say). Another thing that was really awful was the fight scene between Song Chon and the gang. It's been a long time since I've seen such a horrible sequence of fight scenes. For a second I was questioning whether they're being serious or not...
When it comes to Choi Woo Shik, he did a decent job, I think. His character barely talks, so that's that, but his characters always feel authentic.
What really pissed me off was the very unnecessary NSFW scene in the first episode. So you're telling me that the female actress had to take off all of her clothes just for Woo Shik to be on the bed fully clothed? Like he couldn't even take the shirt off? It was just dumb and pointless.

I'm surprised by the overwhelming amount of positive comments.
The drama is good, but that's that. It's not excellent, it's not wonderful, it's not groundbreaking.
When I first watched the trailer, I immediately thought that this would be like a hospital version of Extraordinary Attorney Woo. After watching a few episodes, I can say that indeed, it is like that, but it's executed poorly.
The drama has amazing visual effects and they did a wonderful job with its setting and camera work, but the cast is severely lacking in talent. Their acting skills are sadly not great and it shows, especially in emotionally challenging scenes. Being emotional doesn't mean to immediately cry; the actor should be able to deliver strong emotions with the help of their facial movements and pose, not only through tears.
Maybe in Korea, this drama is perceived as groundbreaking due to it covering mental health, but I don't think that it's very original in the West.
I was disappointed and stopped watching after episode 4. I made no connection with any of the characters and the side plots were kinda unnecessary in my opinion.

Very boring. I'm horribly disappointed because the trailers looked fresh and fun, but in reality the drama is simply BAD. Se Jong's scenes are so cringey that you can't wait for them to be over, Suzy still can't act despite being in the industry for over 10 years and the script is overall not good.
Dropped it after 3 episodes, it really wasn't worth the time. We've had enough rom-coms and unfortunately, this is just another one that goes onto the pile of skippable dramas.
On The Killer's Shopping List Aug 29, 2023
I dropped this show after a few episodes because it was simply too stupid to watch. First of all, the main character is supposed to be a "genius" with great memory and yet he can't remember vital things that affect his day-to-day life (for example he didn't recognize the guy who hurt him and his mother???). Second, the "comedy" is not funny at all, it's too exagerrated to the point that it just becomes cringe. And lastly, the drama is so predictable that it could have been easily wrapped in 3-4 episodes, they were truly too generous with giving it 8 episodes.

I am so freaking excited!!! They better get the rights for Kylie Minogue music cuz it was such a big part of the book. This is gonna be amazing, I honestly can't wait.

It's a good movie: solid 7 out of 10. But it needed at least 30 more minutes to showcase the depth of the story and to explore all the themes and ideas that the director wanted to use. What was also lacking for me was some kind of an "epic" visual scene. Don't get me wrong, the fighting was okay, but when I watch sci-fi movies I want to see some really cool stuff and in this movie, the only cool visual moment was when they showed that huge statue of a human or AI or whatever it was. Other than that, I liked it. And I love Kyung Soo so it was just a plus that he was there.
