Title You and Everything Else Spoiler
How in the hell does this drama have such high ratings and such amazing comments about it is beyond me. The only good thing about this is Go Eun whose acting is top notch (as always). The rest... the story, the acting of the other actors, the stupid storylines, the cringe moments that make ZERO sense... god, it's awful. I stopped watching the moment the transgender character got revealed because I couldn't hold back my laughter. It is so bad...
On The Dream Life of Mr. Kim Dec 5, 2025
Here's a thing... I really wanted to give this drama 8 stars, but it's just not on that level. The story is good, but it has some cracks and they keep showing more the closer you get to the finale. The main character is too pathetic at times to feel sorry for him and some of the scenes feel more like an infomercial about mental health, car accidents and family struggles rather than genuine stories. I have a huge problem with JTBC dramas because that's what they always end up doing - they have great ideas, great premise, great themes, but they wrap them up in the most disingenuous way possible. It's really a shame because I thought this drama might change my mind about JTBC, but it did not. Don't expect some groundbreaking storytelling.

I saw him in "The Dream Life of Mr. Kim" for the first time and I was so taken aback by his good looks that I kept thinking about him lol! He looks soooooo handsome!

How is everyone rating this so high? The acting was awful, only like one or two people actually knew what they were doing, the male lead was insufferable and the story was just too slow, which comes as a surprise as it is only 8 episodes long. I genuinely don't think that anyone who likes the crime genre can say this was a good drama.

It's still too early to judge, let's cut them some slack. A lot of them did cry, and the ones who didn't as much…
I understand we have different preferences, but I definitely preferred season 3 both cast-wise and story-wise compared to whatever we've got this season.

all of them cried except for one guy though? 😭 also, it seems like they intentionally picked out members who…
I know they cried, but that's why I said in my comment that Dongjin and Dahye bawled their eyes out. While in season 4 the contestants just shed a few tears. It wasn't very emotional, it didn't tug at my heartstrings at all. And I understand that we all have different preferences. I personally loved season 3 because of how emotional it was.
On EXchange Season 4 Oct 11, 2025
I can't get into this season at all... I'm just on episode 2 and I can't get over how performative some of them are. Why are they acting like it's their first day on planet Earth and they have just found out what a fork is?
It was also a red flag for me when they cried so little over the notes from their ex. What made me watch season 3 was when I saw a clip of Dahye and Dongjin bawling their eyes out over their notes and it was actually so good because you started to root for them and you wanted to see how other people's relationship would develop too. But this season? There's no one to root for. They all seem kinda like they're just acting and as if they only came there to get some IG followers.

Title Nine Puzzles
I am very conflicted about this drama. Nine Puzzles isn't as good as many people make it out to be. In fact, the story is very slow and I dare to say it's quite boring at times. I personally love Son Sukku, so I kept watching just because of him and I think his acting was excellent. On the other hand, I couldn't stand Dami's character (her acting was great though). Ena felt too much like a copy of the Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I have an issue with how K-Dramas use these types of characters... it's great to have quirky leads, but this one was just too annoying for my liking. A genius without really any reasoning behind her talents.

The story itself is interesting, it definitely has a great premise and covers relevant themes. It does a good job at criticizing South Korea's vices without being too upfront about it. The problem that this drama has is the pacing. It's a bit all over the place, especially in the first 5-6 episodes. After episode 7, the story really starts to gather some speed and you get pulled in.

I think it's worth 7,5 stars, but I was quite disappointed. It's one of those dramas that would benefit from having only 8-9 episodes.
On Squid Game Season 3 Jun 27, 2025
Sadly, Squid Game's biggest downside is that it actually embodies what it attempts to criticize. What baffles me the most about season 3 is another appearance of the awful VIPs. Did the casting director and the director himself learn nothing from season 1 backlash? Once again, they cast poor actors who couldn't deliver what this story needed! The dialogues were CORNY af (for real, who the f- wrote it?!), the way they spoke (their intonation, stress, etc.) felt like they got them at a school play in some god forgotten town in the UK. Just awful...
However, I don't hate the ending as much as others seem to do. I think it is pretty accurate. Yes, it is not satisfying to watch the "good" guys lose (mind you, the point of the story is that there are actually no good guys - except the baby I guess), but showing that those who hold the power, have all the money in the world, control the government will never get the short end of the stick is pretty accurate portrayal of real life imo.

On Pachinko Season 2 Oct 11, 2024
I just feel completely disappointed by this season. It lacked so many things... it bored me to death. I literally ate up season 1, I've watched it twice, but I had to force myself to watch season 2. So slow, so boring, so much happening and yet nothing's happening at all? The ending... HORRIBLE. Whose decision was it to play that modern song? It ruined the whole beauty of the finale...
On Sweet Home Season 3 Jul 20, 2024
I don't think I've ever seen anyone fumble the bag so badly than they did with Sweet Home.
Season 2 was awful, but Season 3 barely surpassed the very low bar set by the previous season. Song Kang is a horrible actor, genuinely cannot comprehend who gives him directions for his acting but whoever is telling him that he's doing a good job needs to get fired. I don't think there has ever been a weaker hero than Hyun Su. He's someone you basically don't even need to care about in the show because quite frankly, everyone does a better job at doing whatever needs to be done than him.
What irked me to no end is how stupid the looks of the characters are. So the production wants me to believe that a soldier who's been thrown around by countless monsters, who is bloodied from his face to his feet, who barely survived, has still managed to keep his hair perfectly in place, hairsprayed and slicked back without a single strand being out of place? AND MAGICALLY, no blood got into his hair, but it ended up covering every other piece of his body! Ridiculous... why make a survival show when all you do is put hot faces on the screen and throw some blood on them and pretend to have them fight for their lives?
Honestly, Sweet Home must be one of the most disappointing K-Dramas that has ever been made. How could they lose the essence of what made season 1 so great and exciting? Anyone who is considering watching season 2 and season 3, don't do so. Enjoy season 1 and keep it at that.

And one more thing, Won Hee's performance in this drama is much better than her performance in The Atypical Family. This perfectly shows how some broadcasting companies and production companies limit the actors and try to push them into a box. JTBC is doing a horrible job with making the actors act a certain way which is not natural. Meanwhile when the dramas are solely produced by Netflix, the actors just thrive which is exactly Won Hee's case. She was really great in the drama.

Title The 8 Show
What a phenomenal show! The performances of all the actors were 10/10, the story was 10/10, the production was 10/10, there was simply not a single low-quality thing about this drama. It's much better than Squid Game (in my opinion) and it covers all the vices of the current generation. Very up-to-date and overall great.
On The Atypical Family May 19, 2024
The drama is incredibly boring, in my opinion. It has a good premise and it could have been such a great story, but the execution is poor. It's not terrible, but it lacks something. What would help is more editing and a different format. Stories like this one are better with 45-min episodes, it doesn't work well with episodes that are 70 minutes long. There's simply not enough to tell and the relationships between the individual characters aren't explored enough anyway. At one point, the story is too slow, then suddenly it gets too fast and everything interesting happens in the span of 10 minutes. It's simply not engaging enough. I haven't liked any of the JTBC dramas for a very long time and this one proved to me that they lack a lot of sense once again. I dropped it after the 5th episode, it's really not worth watching, no matter how good looking Ki Yong is.
On Goodbye Earth Apr 28, 2024
Watched six episodes and I dropped it. I pretty much had to force myself to get through the sixth episode. This drama is about everything but the end of the world. The fact that they constantly go back and forth and didn't do the plot chronologically is extremely annoying. Very disappointing overall. The acting was good but the rest just sucks. I don't recommend this to anyone.
