Dear X: She manipulates others to get what she wants and to protect herself.

Utsukushii Rinjin: She manipulates others for revenge.

Utsukushii Rinjin is the prequel of Saki. The sequel Saki is more similar to Dear X. Both female leads are psychopaths.

The group goes on a week long staycation during the COVID-19 pandemic, which replaces the previous Bon Voyage. The guys have fun playing games, reminiscing about their beginning and enjoying some alone time.

So called siblings to lovers trope. They lived together as siblings (not related by blood) when they were young, then got separated and reunited again as adults.

the fantasy setting and subplots of people trying to gain power may be interesting for those who enjoyed AOS! the female leads are also smart and both have fake identities that they take on to achieve their goals while their powers are weakened. the plots overall are not super similar, but the vibe and the pacing of both are a good match for those who enjoyed AOS. would highly rec as someone who enjoyed both!

Both revolve around revenge, manipulation, and emotional complexity. However, Eve delivers its revenge arcs and emotional payoffs with more intensity and passion, while The Manipulated leaves too many threads hanging. Both explore similar themes, but Eve feels more complete and emotionally satisfying.
