Both films are primarily driven by the intense and multifaceted relationship between two young women. "The First Girl I Loved" centers on the budding romance between Anne and Sasha, while "Soulmate" is a sprawling chronicle of the friendship between Mi-so and Ha-eun over many years. Both films present these connections as formative and life-defining.Both movies are powerful coming-of-age stories. They depict the characters navigating the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood, including discovering their identities, making life choices, and understanding the true nature of their relationships. "The First Girl I Loved" captures the raw and awkward emotions of a first crush and coming out in high school, while "Soulmate" shows the characters growing up and apart over the course of more than a decade.

Liu Ling is a young member of the royal family who has been granted the auspicious title of Princess Chang Le by the Emperor – who has a soft spot for her (and thinks little of her father). She is aged 20, and until now she has lived a pampered and privileged life. She is capricious, impatient, and quite bratty. Even when people lavish gifts upon her, she treats them with disdain. She has a habit of rubbing people up the wrong way and acting impulsively – a fact that has seen her develop many enemies at court. Even the common folk have a habit of spreading malicious – and often totally unfounded – rumors about her.

On her birthday, she decides – on a whim – to travel out of the palace to drink in a private room at an exclusive inn. She drinks herself into a stupor and is sleeping off the alcohol when Shen Yan, a young army commander and an ice-cold martial artist stumbles into her room after having been injured in a sword fight with a notorious bandit. The Princess falls for this wounded warrior and tries to win his heart – although he initially doesn’t seem very impressed with her advances. But, given time, could this unlikely duo strike up a friendship – or an even more unlikely romance?

Khemjira just came out so there aren't many episodes (i think its legit just one) but the storyline is super similar. Both protagonists struggle with a curse and have ghosts following them (though khemjira goes a little heavier on the horror element). Khemjira's personality also reminds me a bit of the protagonist's personality - also, the leads have insane face cards as well

Male protagonist having issues with the death of a brother. Both of them show the effects of depression in them and talk about heavy things. Both of them have a girl that is in love with one of the protagonists (but Junhee is waaay nicer than Eun Ji). Happy ending in both as well (putting that out there in case it worries anyone). In fact, i saw eight sense because i thought it was kinda similar, and im glad because both of them were really enjoyable. Also jazz for two goes more into detail about the story of the brother (which we didnt really get to see much of in the eight sense) if you're interested in that

These are two short drama series with similar storylines.

In both dramas, the female lead (FL) is betrayed and exploited by someone close to her.

Eventually, she is killed by that person.

However, in both series, the FL comes back after death to take revenge.

The method of her return differs in each story:

In one, she returns with a new identity, carefully planning her revenge.

In the other, she goes back in time, returning to the past to change her fate and punish her enemies.
