Both of the series have perfectly captured the essence of nostalgia, taking viewers back to a time when life was simpler and more intimate. The creators of these 2 dramas have gone to great lengths to ensure that every detail, from the fashion(hair style, cloths, not much make up), and technology are accurate to the time period, thereby providing the audience with an authentic trip down memory lane.

Enemies to lovers working towards the same end game. Though the leads in D&D are not as crazy, the tension and chemistry between both dramas are great. Also historical/period dramas that lean into political themes.

FL's challenges with being a businesswoman in times where social conventions would rather have her stay in the courtyard being a dutiful and obedient wife. Both FL prove very successful in their businesses with emphasis on the beginnings of industrialization in China, but not so lucky in love. Both FL get married without love, but in Nothing Gold can stay, FL falls in love with first husband, whereas FL in Girls Fighting Fate is separated from her true love and forced to marry his brother. Close in period, NGCS is very end of the Qing Dynasty, whereas GFF is Republican era, right after the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
