Here’s a short comparison between the two Chinese dramas The Legend of Shen Li (2024) and Immortal Samsara (2022), focusing on similarities.
Genre:
Both are xianxia dramas set in worlds where gods, demons, spirits, and humans coexist.
Cross-Realm Love:
Each series features a love story that transcends time and realms.
Mythic Elements:
Magical artifacts, celestial politics, and destiny-driven love are central themes in both.
Visual Aesthetics:
Both showcase lavish production design, elaborate costumes and large-scale fantasy sets.
Emotional Core:
The romances are bittersweet and tied to sacrifice, fate, and identity rather than just simple affection.

Both about what if Korea had a modern day monarchy. In both the second prince of the monarchy couples up with a commoner.
Both are Japanese movies focused on romance with a disabled ML. Both movies are well-made with an intimate, raw feel and a tender and wholesome romance. If you wanted Blind Mind to be longer, I strongly recommend giving See Hear Love a try!
In SHL:MmKmA, FL is disabled too, while in BM, she's not.

- Modern man ends up in historical period
- Both MLs are very similar (cheeky, fun-loving, loyal, and compassionate)
- ML is regarded as a genius due to his modern knowledge
- Everyone out to get ML (positively and negatively)
- Princess FL
- Sweet family dynamics
- ML's special ability is composing (erm, plagiarizing poems)
- Intimidating organization with atypical knowledge for the time period
- Fantasy elements (more wuxia in JoL, actual fantasy in GotD)
- Both are hilarious comedies with genuinely witty humor
GotD is basically JoL a little to the left (aka, a little more fantasy-focused). ML's entire personality, the family dynamic, supporting characters, plot progression, dynamics, and even ML's skillset. It's actually quite surprising, but I loved both, lol.

Both series focus on the FL's quest for revenge after her once happy life was destroyed by a wicked woman, who turns out to be the ML's mother. Both FLs experienced childhood abuse and their mothers were killed by the villain. Both FLs later came back to the house they once grew up in to seek revenge.
The film and the series focus on Manora, a traditional Thai dance and its performer, combining the theme with a horror twist.
Beside that both Therapy Game and When It Rains, It Pours are J-bl, they're about a chance encounter between a straight man and gay man. As both series progress, the relationship develops from friends to lovers. I'm drawn to the idea of a straight man's pov. What makes a him fall for a gay man? Or perhaps I am intrigued by how the gay person seduce the straight man!?
Compelling female lead with a strong ensemble cast, focusing on the publication of sensationalist news.
See You in My 19th Life earned 9/10. Genie although causing offensive, could be 7.5/10
Genie, Make a Wish and See You in My 19th Life both blend fantasy with heartfelt romance, using supernatural elements to explore love and destiny.
If you enjoyed the emotional pull and imaginative premise of one, the other offers a similar mix of magical circumstances and character?driven storytelling.
Both were developed under the umbrella of Studio Dragon, which explains why they feel stylistically similar.

The tension are the same in both, they both happened to run into each other. This kiss scenes are everything in both of these!
The plot about fake dating for a profit/gain of sorts and then turning into real feelings with the ex still being a influential character in the story.
