This is a love-hate drama that explores modern family issues such as moral harassment, infertility, matchmaking apps for married people, domestic violence from wives, and cuckooing.

The protagonist, 29-year-old Yashima Risa, works at a life insurance company and leads a stable life, but her relationship with her husband of three years is strained by obligatory fertility treatments.

One day, this innocent and earnest woman meets a handsome man named Jochi Ryo, who is suffering from violence from his wife. However, her meddlesome desire to "save him" eventually turns into love, and Risa finds herself falling into a hellish affair.

Both are pretty surreal, bit creepy, mysterious BL / queer series that put the main characters and audience in (intentionally) confusing situations where nobody is sure what's real and what not. There is also a bit of philosophical questing about life and morals.

They are pretty good brain challengers for those who love riddles and solving mysteries.

1. the popular guy is simping for the non popular guy.

2. The not so popular guy has very little self-confidence. And is always putting others before himself.

3. The popular guy fall for the other guy with just one conviction. But he doesn’t dare to become friends with him till the plot happens.

Both are powerful, quiet reflections on perseverance and honor.

- Very good looking leads and beautiful costumes, settings and similar cinematography
- Similar endings (with sacrifice but also ultimately a happy ending)

- Spoiler: both MLs mess up BIG time in the drama and have to make up for their mistake - tear jerker plot

Both are Thai BL dramas that are psychological/mystery genre in a medical setting. In Spare Me Your Mercy, one of the main characters is a doctor while in Mystique in the Mirror, both main characters are in a psychiatric hospital.
