This is a serious drama with a food/palace/royal kitchen theme, very similar to Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. It shows in detail how palace kitchens operated, with a realistic focus on food preparation and the politics surrounding it.
But Long Drama, Slow Romance, lots of politics

The Sun in the Dark feels like a low-budget remake of Love Between Fairy and Devil, but is still different in some ways and very fun to watch. In both dramas...
- The FL has an unknown identity and is underestimated in the immortal world;
- The FL hides the demon lord in the immortal world, and is later brought to the demon world;
- The ML is heartless at first, but protects the FL;
- The FL and the ML are bound by a spell/artefact;
- The 2ML is a high-ranked immortal.

The opening scenes are so similar you can’t help but wonder if it’s a rip off of the save story. Except that the girl wants to kill the night deity in SD whereas the FL was thankful for his help in MM…

- Both dramas center on a group of talented individuals who form a team to commit crimes, but with a noble purpose.
- Both dramas blend the genres of crime, comedy, and action.
- Both Confidence Queen and Player have a revenge element. The teams in both dramas don't just act for personal gain; they also seek justice for people who have been wronged by those in power.
- Each team member has a specific role and exceptional skills.

If you enjoyed the storyline of a genius team taking down bad guys in a clever and humorous way in Confidence Queen, then Player will most likely provide you with a similar and satisfying viewing experience. Player even comes with second season.

- Same actor playing male leads, the ML in Nothing but Thirty is a good guy in general unlike the role in Alliance.
- very similar in the sense of how career, friends, family is always a challenge to balance for an educated smart modern day female now
- unfairness, unfortunately in times and days like these a lot of unfairness and inequality still exist because of stereotypical gender roles
- money, how important money is because it is also indirectly determines how much power a person holds

Liang Chen Mei Jin is a female-centered historical drama set in the Ming Dynasty, following the story of Gu Jin Chao, a resilient woman who is given a second chance at life through rebirth. After a tragic past, she awakens in her younger body, determined to rewrite her fate and take control of her destiny. Surrounded by multiple male leads with varying loyalties and intentions, Gu Jin Chao navigates a web of palace intrigue, family conflict, and emotional entanglements. With her intelligence and inner strength, she rises against the constraints of a patriarchal society, challenging not only her enemies but the expectations placed upon women of her time. The drama blends romance, revenge, and political power plays, all set against the backdrop of lavish costumes and the intricate beauty of the Ming court. Ideal for fans of strong female protagonists and reincarnation narratives, Liang Chen Mei Jin promises a gripping tale of empowerment, love, and second chances.

Themes of unrequited love and friends into lovers. ML is photographer in both. MTF is a longer form drama with more back and forth compared to S1.

Though the presentation is different, both shows have very similar basic elements. When I first started When Destiny Brings The Demon, I immediately remembered Love Between Fairy And Demon.
- ML determined to be evil and sealed for many many years.
- FL just happens to meet the ML by chance/accident.
- ML realises FL is useful to him and wants to keep her by his side and under his protection.
- Both MLs repeatedly tell the FLs that no one is allowed to kill them.
- ML is stern/fierce and kills easily.
- FL is carefree/joyful/not highly ambitious.
- ML is a lord/grandmaster.
- FL is of a low level/bottom tier in terms of power.
- ML slowly warms up to the female and treats her gently.
- People start turning against the FL and want to harm her just for her closeness to the ML.
- FL has a secret identity that she is unaware of.
- Both MLs draw power from fire.
- Tragic backstory for the MLs' families and people.
- Both MLs are not actually evil.
- Both MLs go on a rampage and stop because of the FLs.
- Both MLs give the FLs jewellery to know she is safe and protected.
- Both MLs have an animal companion (snake/dragon) that serves them and takes a human form.
- Multiple enemies.
- Several kiss scenes.

The stories are obviously not the same but there are so many elements that are similar that it is hard to deny. There might be even more similarities but as I am still watching When Destiny Brings The Demon, this is already quite a lot of details that I've noticed besides avoiding certain spoilers.

Both series are historical BL romances set in the early 20th century.

Thee (Memoir of Rati) and Yai (I Feel You Linger in the Air) have very similar personalities; gentle, kind, and understanding young men from wealthy families that fall in love with someone considered lower class.

Both series also share similar themes such as the mistreatment of servants and the lives of wealthy families living in homes along canals or rivers.

Very strong and determined female and male characters in both dramas. Here, the main character seeks revenge, but in her relentlessness and vindictiveness, the heroine is no less than him. A love relationship that begins with a lie.

In both series, the central focus is on the heroine seeking vengeance for the injustices she has endured. Each female lead is sharp-witted, carefully devises her strategy for retribution, and pursues it with relentless determination.
