Both dramas feature emotionally distant male doctors with complicated pasts who are brilliant in their field but struggle to connect with others. If you enjoyed Doctor John for its mix of ethical questions, medical mystery, and character transformation, Beautiful Mind offers an even darker, more psychological twist on those same themes. Both stories ask: can a person who’s emotionally broken still bring healing to others—and to themselves?

I'm surprised no one thought of this yet, although it is an older drama and newer international. CDrama fans may not know it. It's a very similar premise and Xiao Zhan's character reminds me of the role Zhang Ruoyun played! I hope this series won't be as tragic as Sparrow, though...but I know that hope is silly considering the time period.

Both Better Days and Twelve Letters portray the brutal realities of youth growing up in abusive homes, poverty, and broken systems. They show how even the smallest happiness feels like a miracle when life is filled with pain. Just as Better Days follows traumatized kids clinging to each other for warmth, Twelve Letters depicts Tang Yixun and Ye Hitang two scarred souls supporting each other across parallel timelines of 1991 and 2026. The sacrifices of characters like Sheng Cheng and Ye Nian echo the same heartbreaking weight of lost youth, while the fragile romance at the center reminds us that even 'hopeless folks are still hanging on.' If Better Days left you aching, Twelve Letters will touch the same wound, but with a bittersweet tenderness.

This drama also belong to the forbidden romance genre where a male lead is not human (bound by cosmic rules, fate, or contracts) and the female lead is human, pulling him into emotions he “shouldn’t” have.

Both series explore the protagonist’s life through reflective storytelling with flashbacks to her childhood. The narration style feels very similar as well.
They’re both emotional dramas with romantic elements that aired in 2025.

- law dramas
- semi procedural, where they focus on one case per episode but there's also some central intrigue unfolding
- the "romance" is fairly grown up/realistic and there's (almost ) no fluff. slow burn to the point of being secondary to the plot
- both dramas mostly focus on marriage, divorce and family
- ost's are fairly similar

If i talk about the first gen arc that is first 10 episodes (Ryan and Jelly era), both are into political conflicts of communist party and kuomintang. Both are in republican era. Similar struggle of, caught in dilemmas, siblings of same family, one serving kuomintang, other serving communist party. It's definitely worth a try

The similar of both drama is the FL looking the love one, in both drama ML white hair is very similar. ML white hair always see as the bad guy, starting from friendzone, playing together with FL, and most important the ML white hair always sacrifice himself for FL and always prioritize her over everything.

The only different is in lost you forever, the ML wiling for his love for FL is unrequited, because he know he will died, so he thought its better not to start it if later the FL will miss him, he doesn't want to hurt FL, so he choose to delete his existence. But he didn't know, that even though the ML died and already erase everything, FL always remember their memory, regret everything. In this drama we can say FL is realistic, she want to live forever and together with the one she love.

Meanwhile in love better than immortality the ML white hair got the FL, she know how much the ML sacrifice for her when she was in crisis. the one FL thought the one she love didn't dare to sacrifice himself for FL. meanwhile the ML white hair (wait I just remember he have black hair, but because he sacrifice himself, the hair turn into white) dare to sacrifice himself.

It has an Office romance between company staff and CEO. They end up falling in love with each other. So cute and funny. It will definitely entertain you. It is a must watch in my opinion.

Remakes of same story. Prefer "Chong Sheng Hou, Wo Cheng Le Pian Zhi Da Lao Di Yao Yin" because film quality is better.

Somehow the FL feels more cruel in "You're Mine", but the acting overall in that version felt lacking comparatively. Still watchable though.
