Chen Xing Xu is the male lead in both dramas. In each story, the male and female leads live together for a period of time as roommates and work in the same profession. My Boss centers on law, while Love Between Lines focuses on architecture. In both dramas, the male lead also serves as a mentor to the female lead.

Same FL, same director, same sizzling chemistry and an amazing OST that will sadly never be released. Will have to do some suspension of disbelief on some plot elements for both dramas, and Embrace is less "supernatural scifi romance" and more "action romance", but if you want a protective ML with ambiguous morals and motives, lots of domineering sexy vibes and kissing scenes with the same overall vibe, you'll love it.

Very similar on key points but don't know why rational life is so underrated! Iti s a very good show with mature and to childish female lead, real kisses and mature ML who si also capable and smart. I like that it also show the tricky part of being and adult woman at work and all the nasty things that may happen is a work environment

Idol industry chaos meets heartfelt romance. Expect workplace tension, character growth, and a strong female lead who doesn’t exist just to support the male star.

A slow-burn romance wrapped in competitive sports and emotional healing. The chemistry grows naturally, driven by shared passion rather than dramatic misunderstandings.

In both dramas, the investigation doesn’t start with the police but with people from the neighborhood. The story is set within a single, closed community. These aren’t dark thrillers — humor, irony, and the warmth of relationships soften the tension. The real strength of both dramas lies in the group dynamics.

Like Lu Jianglai, Zang Hai is a survivorof a massacre who returns to the capital under a false identity. He uses his intellect as his primary weapon, infiltrating the very government that destroyed his family. Both dramas prioritize 'brain over brawn'. If you liked the scenes in Glory where Jinaglai outmaneuvers his enemies through law and logic, Zang Hai delivers that in spades within the Ming Dynasty court.

The Judge Returns and Familiar Wife are similar because both revolve around the idea of getting a second chance to fix past mistakes and rethink life choices. In Familiar Wife, the male lead wakes up in an alternate reality where his marriage and life are completely different, forcing him to confront the regrets and emotional neglect of his past, while The Judge Returns gives its lead a chance to go back in time and correct his failures through justice and moral responsibility. In both dramas, the protagonists start off flawed and emotionally immature, and the second chance becomes a catalyst for deep self-reflection, personal growth, and learning how to love better. They blend fantasy elements with very real emotional struggles, questioning whether fate controls life or whether choices do, and ultimately emphasizing that growth, accountability, and changed behavior matter more than simply rewriting the past.

There are no real similarities other than both dramas being xianxia. But I'm recommending When Destiny Brings the Demon if you've already watched The Untamed for three reasons:
1) comedy
2) costume design
3) jin ling (iykyk)
