two sisters competing, dying, reincarnating and starting the competition all over again? It's August 2025 and this is a second time I see the same trope

Both films explore the inner lives of emotionally reserved men through stillness, routine, and human connection. If you appreciated Drive My Car for its quiet grief, subtle character work, and visual storytelling, Perfect Days delivers a more stripped-down but equally moving experience. It’s about how we carry sorrow, seek beauty in simplicity, and remain open—however softly—to the people life places in our path.

It's also a coming-of-age story, and the interactions between the main leads are just as sweet. I would argue that the acting in Meeting You might be a little bit better. The friend group dynamic is also similar in that they're supportive of each other. Ml a little reserved, fl outgoing.

Although Healer and When Life Gives You Tangerines differ greatly in genre, pacing, and overall style, both series share a thoughtful engagement with Korea’s past era in the background and the parent issues. I was intrigued by getting a glimpse of the parents’ youth in Healer.

Although the two dramas differ greatly in theme and tone, they share certain emotional undercurrents. Both highlight characters whose passion, dedication, and courage drive them forward, while also portraying the complexities of parent–child relationships. Pinocchio additionally weaves in glimpses of first love and youthful memories, echoing the tender nostalgia found in When Life Gives You Tangerines. It’s been years since I last watched Pinocchio, yet I can still recall how profoundly it moved me.

I would say,,, the similarities goes to the strong female lead… if the power of Do Bong Soon is the super power… Su Cheng Cheng has filter as the sort of super power…. all in all I love both lifting or carrying scene ???
