Fah Jarod Sai and Tam Hua Jai Pai Sood Lah really remind me of each other. I think it's probably because both dramas are set in similar desert settings.

Both are about historical made up kingdoms, botched arranged marriages, power struggles. Kwan is also the female lead in both.

Theme in both dramas is INTERCULTURAL DATING,

ML & FL are from different countries.

In WCAL it's South. Korea and Japan,
it's a modern realistic setting.

In FJS it's Thailand and a made up fictional country, set in fictional historical desert setting with different kingdoms.
