don't get me wrong. I pretty much have a great time watching it.
I was having a block in terms of watching k-dramas and decided to give Healer a chance since Ji Chang Wook is one of my favorite Korean actors (and again manages to hold his place). I really enjoyed the story a lot, the amount of clichés was impressive, but not in a way that was overwhelming or made me stop watching. Honestly, I found it easy to follow episode after episode and it took less than 3 days to finish watching.I liked the cast and felt the chemistry between the characters, although the way the romance grew between them could have been better, I felt like the only reason there was attraction was that they knew each other as kids without knowing it.
Beyond that, I found the chapters very interesting, the action scenes were good and I managed to empathize with the characters.
But I must be honest, at some point I felt that the plot lost its way and just a bunch of random things happened that without being very convincing for the viewer turned out to be convenient for the plot itself, but I must say that I didn't care much and kept watching. On the other hand, I liked the ending, but it needed more emotion or maybe it's just me, I felt that it lacked depth in how some things turned out (like her relationship with his birth mother and what happened with Kim Mun Sik).
Anyway, yes I would recommend it for those who enjoy cliché stories, action and romance and are familiar with the characteristic structure of k-dramas.

Look Who's Stalking!
This is a totally original Kdrama that doesn't follow the usual formula (except for the knowing each other as kids bit)! The main theme music seems a bit of a mismatch for the action and is calm & easygoing while the cool action scenes are playing out but somehow it works and is instantly recognisable as the Healer tune.
Ji Chang-wook & Park Min-young as the leads look so young! They get my vote for the most adorable, cutest couple ever to grace the small screen. When I watch them I think...ahhh that's what love is really like! I have to say I love Ms Jo (AKA Kim Mi-kyung) this has to be my favourite character I have ever seen her play (and she's played a lot)! Every character is beautifully acted and incorporated fully into the storyline, This is the secret to every successful drama. There is a sort of docu-edgy cool feel to the drama. It really is impeccably written. There are some really memorable scenes and great dialogue which demonstrate how creative the team were behind this. The last 2 episodes veer off into another direction, but it does not distract from the overall arc.

Complete entertainer
Healer was one of the first K dramas I watched. This was a wholesome experience. I mean ticks almost all checklists for entertainment . Even after watching so many Kdramas it stands out and I guess that’s what make it popular. It caters to all sort of people. You have a macho hero who also can be a cutie in another version ,sometimes dumb FL who has a character and sizzling chemistry between them. It also unravels a mystery with amazing action sequences. The ending initially felt a bit underwhelming, but now I find it ok after diving deep into K drama world.😂
A must watch for beginners.👌

This series had camaraderie, romance, action, humor, a solid plot, fabulous acting, and no wasted characters. It had 20 episodes and I found myself watching every single one without skipping through the scenes. My only qualm (and it's really not a big deal) is that the action scene choreography is a bit dated, so what was likely very cool and cutting edge then, is a littttttttle bit cheesy to watch now. I *did* end up skipping through those scenes a bit just because it took me out of the scene a little bit unnecessarily. The OST was nice and I liked the song that they played for the main leads whenever they had a romantic beat. It reminded me a little bit of an 80s Simple Minds track.

It's a Drama that even my mom adores
As you can see in the title, I watched this drama with my mom and we both fell in love the story, the actors and just everything that this beautiful and exciting Drama had to offer. The Story: It was a different show, something I've never seen before (despite the mysterious male lead, but even he was unique on his own.) The drama hooked me at the very beginning and kept me excited with every new episode. The three main characters are strong Individuals, each with a different goal that they want to archive and finding out that in the end the goals are nearly the same.
Despite the many actions sequences, there is also a tiny, but strong, romance blossoming between the two leads of the show, that gave me a bunch of butterflies in my stomach.
Acting: All of the cast, and I mean literally ALL actors in this drama, do an excellent job in portraying the characters. No one felt forced and I loved it. I can totally understand why this drama made Ji Chang Wook so famous, his chemistry together with Park Min Young was so good, I can't even describe it.
Music: The Music was also very fitting. The Healer theme is a melody that still is in my head and it seems like it will never get out. Despite that Eternal Love is a title that also stood out to me, the other OSTs were also great but I can't really remember all of them.
All in all, I would recommend this series to you. It's great and has many genres to offer. I wish you all a lovely and enjoyable time while watching the 2015 drama 'Healer'.

My always rewatch
Like many others, I go through seasons for kdramas. I'll go through a kdrama drought for about 6 to 8 months and then I'll watch and binge everything I missed in that time during the rest of the time. Every year I return to a kdrama season, I always revisit Healer. It truly is one of the best shows I've seen. Absolutely survives the test of time to stay among the greats. Was this review helpful to you?
Healer is similar to " City Hunter " in some ways but is certainly not it's copy or a remake. If you have watched city hunter and loved it. Then Healer is for you.
Even if you haven't watched it, healer is still worth a shot. I am pretty sure you will not be disappointed at all...!!

Unique story with excellent acting
This is one of my favorite dramas. It has great acting, a unique storyline, it’s fast paced with lots of action, the leads have great chemistry and a touching romance, and all of the side characters are well fleshed out with depth and growth.Storyline:
I’ve watched hundreds of dramas and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a plot similar to this one. The male lead is a specialized courier that transports highly sensitive goods at a premium price. He’s extremely talented and is similar to James Bond in his skills. There’s a lot of scenes that will remind you of James Bond or Mission Impossible. One of his jobs requires him to get close to the female lead who is a rookie reporter. When they find out that not only do they have a shared past but that murder was involved, they decide to solve the mysteries of their past together which puts their lives in danger. The action scenes are really good, there are some great side characters, the romance is touching, and there’s lots of character growth.
Acting:
The male lead (Ji Chang Wook- a favorite of mine) pulls off the wounded, unwanted orphan that wants to be left alone really well. He draws you in with his sad and lonely life. And as you see him go from a tough badass to a sweet little puppy so seamlessly, you can’t help but be impressed with his acting skills. The female lead with her quirky little dances and spunky personality endears you to her. This is early on in Park Min Young’s career but you can already see her great acting skills shining through. From the female leads dad, to the genius hacker, to their madly successful reporter friend, the acting stands out in this drama.
Romance:
The romance is done so well in this drama. They fall in love gradually, at a realistic pace. But once they finally get together their chemistry is explosive. They never doubt one another and always have each other’s back. There’s lots of kisses, hugs, cuddles, and skinship. And yes, the kisses are realistic and steamy.
This drama will take you on a journey of emotions from sad and crying to laughing to being on the edge of your seat. It has just the right amount of sadness and angst too. There’s just enough to get you interested without being too over the top and upsetting you. And the mystery and suspense is really good. If there was anything I found fault with it was how convoluted and complicated the story was which was hard to follow sometimes. If it weren’t for that it would be a perfect 10. But it’s still an excellent drama worthy of watching multiple times.
