It's more than the love story of every couple in the show but it's also about friends and humanity. I loved it.

not worth the hype
Dots is one of those dramas where you either love it or hate it, and it’s rare to have an in between. For me, it was the latter unfortunately.Although I only watched seven episodes, the plot just didn’t interest me. I usually give dramas 3 episodes max and if it doesn’t interest me, I will drop it. However, due to the hype, I tried to carry it on.
I’m not alone in saying that the mix of genres (rom-com, medical, military) makes it harder to enjoy. There’s not as much development.
From the get go, there was romance initiated, and thus angst. I enjoyed it but it did feel a bit rushed unlike the typical kdrama - which i don’t mind but only if it’s done well. What usually takes 8 or so episodes happened within two episodes.
Side characters were meh which I think is partly the reason i dropped it. Their storyline could’ve acted as a main plot alone and personally I love when the side characters add a bit of comedy and happiness when the main characters are not doing so well.
Nevertheless, I think you have to give Dots a try. It’s one of the most known kdramas and many people will ask for your opinion on it😅

it is only good on the part of the war, but overall worth 5 by stalling and talking and 7 by the action of fights
Descendants of the Sun me decepcionou pelas nota que tem, não vale tudo aquilo
ele só é bom nas parte da guerra, mas no geral vale 5 pela enrolação e falação e 7 pela ação das luta

I'm glad it wasn't among my first dramas, because I don't think I would have watched any of them and I would have missed other wonderful stories.
I really liked the connection of the second couple. their relationship is more meaningful than main leads had.
I liked the bromance and comedy between doctors/comrades.
I really liked ML, the actor and the character that he played.
But I continued with a lump in my throat because I couldn't stand the FL character. This actress, apart from being beautiful, didn't convey anything to me, she's dull, she doesn't have expressions, it's quite rigid, stiff. For me she is playing the same in any dramas. Is not at all my cup of tea. Her character is mean, she's acting like she owns and knows everything. I did not like at all how she treats ML, she disempower him, she plays with him, like she is in high school. She is emotionally immature, a bitch.
The OST is great.
I just continue watching for Song Joong Ki and the second couple. But It was my first when I fast foreword the moment with the FL. ups.
I cant feel to recommend this one. Sorry.

Soo annoying
This is the first Korean drama I felt like Chinese drama. Shameless ML, brainless plots, repeating scenes etc… More than 4 times he got rejected by FM still shamelessly repeating the same and keeps on following her wherever she is and thinking of her all the time even during rescue missions, military base or in the meeting. I think this drama degrading the mentality of the Korean army. The disappointing thing is, ML is the commander of the special force but become shameless without any bottom line after meeting FL. In the initial episodes he always used to tell rules, orders blah blah blah but for her he forgot all rules orders everything. Most annoying is even in the military base he keeps on searching, following confessing her but got rejected repeatedly. Even the commander has no self respect is very shameful character. Was this review helpful to you?

I am in love
I really loved this show. The romance between the two couples is so fascinating. And the story…I’ve never had fantasy about the uniform, but this show changed this a lot.The spoken English was not so bad that I expected. Some character had very good accent and this added a little bit to the story as well.
Honestly, I am in love in the main character romance and this love is something good to see.
Funny, with sweet romance and really exciting because of the military storyline.

nothing because it’s perfect
It's incredibly beautiful, with all its events and everything else. The beginning is perfect, and there's not a single dull moment. The way the characters meet and fall in love is something I can't get over. I've watched it multiple times. At first, I finished it in one day because of its beauty, the beauty of the story, and the acting. I'm not exaggerating at all. What I loved most was the love between the secondary characters; I can't get over it. The chemistry between the secondary and main characters is incredible. I can't believe the director made such a great choice. Was this review helpful to you?
He Descended Like the Sun
After watching the first episode I am already hooked completely primarily because of the ML Soong Jun Ki who is so handsome and epitome of Asian manhood. He got a killer smile and he played his role as if it is his second skin. This love story between a soldier and a lady doctor has become popular ever since and there are so many versions already but this drama still stands out as a gem of its kind. The love story is so romantic and so touching. The acting are superb and the chemistry between the major leads are very palpable. It is also nice that the common illogical presence of mistress or evil mother in law are not present in this drama. The tension is focused on the relationship of the leads and their call for duty.
I highly recommend this drama.

the room with alex *For Saeji*
While this drama is enjoyable, there were notable propagandistic undertones. The Korean nationalistic message was notable throughout the drama in in the way that the military and patriotic values are portrayed. Soldiers are portrayed in a positive light, shown as protectors of life rather than the ones who take it in foreign lands. The pleasing physical appearance of the soldiers help the soldiers seem more likeable and reliable. It portrays the mindset that being a soldier is the epitome of masculinity. There was also the uncomfortable comparison of doctors to soldiers. Soldiers and doctors should not be compared because one takes life while the other saves it. This drama can be enjoyed by the young, easily swayed audience who do not take into account of propaganda and can easily overlook these nationalistic tendiences and juxtapositions that DOTS portrays. However, parts of the drama were likable. The romantic plot line and chemistry between Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Ko was very enjoyable as well as the storyline. Overall, this drama with all of its propaganda and its romance, is a solid 8/10.Was this review helpful to you?
