It's Excellent
I haven't watched that much drama because I only recently got into drama so feel free to disagree with me but for me, uncontrollably fond is an excellent series. What I first thought of the romantic development between the two characters is that it's not enough and there's no real connection between them and I also disliked that jun young was mean to eul rather than building a relationship but it hit me. Uncontrollably fond depicts lost time, where in you can't get back the time you lost. Even though it was obvious that jun young was eventually going to die what made me cry the most is his denial and the fact that he wants to make more of his life and make it up to the people around him and that when things are about to just get good it disappears. Rage, hatred, revenge, despair, hopelessness, regrets, misunderstandings, but eventually care, happiness, love, hope, justice, and peace. These are what made uncontrollably fond excellent for me the fact that the lack of romantic development between the protagonist is what backs up the idea of lost time, something you won't ever get back. But I was satisfied with the ending jun young found true happiness and at ep 19 we get to see what jun young and eul could've been, the scene might be cliché but for me it's still wholesome. Jun young died with true happiness and peacefully and everyone around him, and everyone he loves is doing alright. It felt like everything was going to be okay. And I gotta commend the acting it was very good especially when jun young is crying I can see his lips shaking and all the characters showed sincerity it made it feel natural and real. And music is also good overall 9.5/10 would watch again. Was this review helpful to you?

What review can be given if the tears is still warm on one’s cheeks. Starting with a strong “...what would happen if I refuse to die?” and then “Let me live”, “I... I’m scared” and ending with “Just sleep” and “See you tomorrow “. This drama have a little (well little more than just little) of everything in. It worth the watch if you love sad endings. I always rate my rewatch rate low as I generally do not rewatch any movies or dramas but in this dramas’ case I just don’t want to cry so much again. Was this review helpful to you?

Review and title
I already gave a review but this title - I'm not sure if it was the translation but for American Viewers this translation was confusing and difficult to remember and had nothing to do with the story and misleading. Uncontrollably Fond has nothing to do with the title. I'm not saying anything negative because I understand this is being translated from Korean to English but in English a great title and memorable would have been: Unforgettable you.Was this review helpful to you?
must watch
wow wow wow!Although it could have been 16 episodes, I didn't regret watching 1 minute of this drama. this is definitely 1 of my favs.
The only thing i didn't like was the screaming or loud voices. I still give it 10/10
I saw the ML in the Heirs and was impressed and did look for other dramas to watch with him, this is second one and have no regrets.
The story is slightly different from the usual terminal illness dramas and the love story is also different, which is what I liked, as most dramas have these immature girlish FLs, that's usually annoying.
I will watch this again and again and would recommend anyone who wants to watch it to do so.

Great
This drama is something else, makes you view life in a whole different dimension, what to do and what not to do when you have life. Also made me see that it’s not only in Africa that corruption and Bribery have tainted. This drama speaks volumes, it says a lot and if you listen well, you’ll hear, FORGET ABOUT THE SAD SCENES, it’s send a message. It’s full of meaning, talks about time , love, forgiveness, second chances, truth, lies, motherhood, Fatherhood, friendship and even enemies.
Teaches how to live life to the fullest and how to use time for fulfilling things.
It showed how people can change and how some people too, can’t change .
I LOVE IT 🥰 🤝👏

I will see again.
This was a great story and Kim Woo Bin did an excellent performance. I would definitely watch again. It was entertaining, funny, sad at times and I cried my eyes out at the end.My only dislike was the noisiness of Bae Suzy but I truly loved Kim Woo Bin's performing a main role. I have seen him in other dramas where is in a support role. I am a new fan of his and will be following his dramas to see what new roles he does.
I am fairly new to Korean dramas which have become my sole entertainment.

Mesmerising
LIKEWhen Joon Yeong confessed his actions to Noh Eul during one of his interviews
When Joon Yeong told Yeong Ok the reason why he did not pursue his dream career
When Yeong Ok lamented in front of Hyun Joon
When Noh Eul cried in front of Yeong Ok but couldn't specify the reason
When Hyun Joon said he was the one who made the decision for fame
DISLIKE
Nothing to dislike - just shocked as UF was one of the first few dramas after DOTS that made me switched from HK to SK. Totally dropped HK as their storyline are too predictable.
MUSIC - personal fav
My Heart Speaks - Kim Na Young
From When and Until When - Tei
REWATCH VALUE
Yes someday I'll add to my list

This had been a drama that I had put off watching for a LONGGG time because I had heard things about how it ended and how it made people cry buckets, and I just didn't think I'd be able to deal with that. Well, lo and behold, Weekly Binge on Reddit decided to do it and I thought that there was no better time for me to get through Uncontrollably Fond. The drama started off super promising—even though I'm not a huge fan of overdramatic backstories and melodramas in general, I really liked how they portrayed the history between Eul and JY and why they separated. The fact that it was truly tragic was much better than the "noble idiocy" plot that so many dramas go for when making characters separate in their youth. This drama is also undoubtedly the one with the most "secrets" between characters I've seen so far, and it really felt like every character was connected to each other in some way.
The plot for Uncontrollably Fond was honestly kind of slow. It seemed to meander a lot, with the main characters' love story being wishy-washy while the actual plot was at a standstill where all the antagonists knew all the secrets and the main characters knew nothing. It definitely sped up after the 15th episode, and I think episodes 16-18-ish were probably my favorites because the plot finally developed.
After those episodes, though, episodes 19 and 20 seemed to slow down a little more and I can't help but feel like something about the way everything was resolved seemed very anticlimactic to me. I liked that there was sort of justice, but after the plot was so messily built up, I never felt like it hit a climax. Even though it was anticlimactic and just inconsistent with the tone of the rest of the drama, I can appreciate how realistic things played out, without any deus ex machina or last ditch plot twist.
Overall, still a quite nice watch, but it wasn't nearly as heart-breaking as I expected it to be.

Ehhhh..
Suzy bae is one of my favourite kdrama actresses and she did so well here...in most of her works she always outshines her cast members. Though I do admit Woobin also did well!! This kdrama had a good start but it got a little boring in the middle of it, i'd say it was a bit of a drag.. but once she had to stay with Woobins character it got a lot more interesting and I liked the tension that was built in between the main characters. This is a very heartbreaking kdrama though.. so if you're thinking of watching this then beware for that. Was this review helpful to you?
