Just like what other reviewers have said Boys Over Flowers theme. I believe that it gives off more of a high school theme rich chaebol families. I didn't really like how the male leads are portrayed as little kids that doesn't really know what they are doing. Their physical appearance should lean on more towards older roles. That's one of the reasons why I didn't really like watching it. But over all the story is alright for me but many will not agree with me about my review.

I enjoyed this and have now watched 2 times

*****Park So-dam- Amazing actress and she made me want to protect her and knock out those who kept hurting her. Though she could fight and showed a great spirit of personality and fortitude, I know there was so much more you could have done and created with her. She has beauty and talent, yet you left her lacking. It seemed as if the show was rushed, just to get it going.
****Jung Il-woo-I could not see Park So-dam being with him, why you ask if she is strong and resilient why would she even want someone who is very rude to her at the beginning? With in 3 months they did not have enough time to really get to know each other and she was so much closer to Lee Jung-shin who was very close and wonderful from the get go with her. There was something lacking and rushed, though they both come from the same life style.
****Ahn Jae-hyun- So much more could have been done with his character, I thought he would have been more into men than into woman. The way you presented him being into fashion and it seemed forced with female relationships to hide what looked to be in the closet. Though is very handsome and you can see he has a kind heart after one gets to know him.
****Lee Jung-shin- Really wanted to see more of him, also could have stretch this out by giving him more of a chance to be a true love interest with Park So-dam, he really would have been the best option on causing a huge jealousy
****Son Na-eun - She is a wonderful actress and I wish you would have written her into the story more, there is so much more you could have done with her, I felt there should have been a deeper relationship with both actresses, where they could have conspired to get Ahn Jae-hyun and her together.

Now will I watch the show again, yes again the actress is one of my all time favorites, when she laughs or smiles I want to, when she cries I wanted to hug her and reassure her all was going to be ok. When people were mean to her, I wanted to fight for her. She draws you in and has a certain aspect about her that makes her very personable and relatable .

Negatives-more Karma to her so called family for what they did to her? More Karma to the Grandfather and more drama needed. The Secretary was very hot and how none of the girls were attracted to him, bewildering cause damn he should have had a love interested at least. VERY HOT HOT HOT.
Grandfather would like to see more of though I did not like him in this one...

Not that bad, but not that good either

The story plot is kinda unique, in a weird way. So a girl living with three handsome rich cousins, who was managed by their grandfather's secretary (The 4th knight). Its not so bad, but the plot kinda weak for me. Also the relationship kinda weird and no chemistry I think. So the three cousins like the same girl but even when there are three male leads who like the same girl, obviously one of them will be the weak link, which made it pitiful. Its like the girl didn't notice the third presence. The only thing that make me still want to watch it probably because of the humor, and also the fact that the girl ended up with the 1st lead. Most people said they have 2nd lead syndrome, but I personally thought that the 2nd lead is annoying

Cliché and love triangles

The story was entertaining until I wasn't aware of whom she would end up with. At the start, I was rooting for hyun min and her, but towards the middle, I started liking the chemistry of Seo woo and her. I never wanted her to end up with Ji woon.
Its music is wonderful. TBH, I was actually watching for those bg songs, too. It gained few stars only for its songs.
I hate that second girl. I skipped all of her scenes. She was too boring in the whole story.
I liked the main girl friend. Her Chemistry with Seo woo was good.

Slightly Cringey but no regrets!

Despite this show having quite a few cringey scenes, it still holds a grip in my memories and sometimes I am tempted to rewatch it. I tend to like reverse-harems, especially went here is an angsty tsundere character and/or a mischievous character and this has both who are typically at each other's throats. Love the flirting between the main 3 characters too...quite funny. After all it is a comedy too...plenty of goofy scenes. I'd say it's worth a watch if this is your kind of genre just skip the whole party/drinking scene....I found it unbearable cringey...idk if it was the acting or just the scene/script itself.

Cute and fluffy

It is what it is. This is a fluffy, romantic comedy sprinkled with melodrama.
If the title did not make it abundantly clear, it's about a poor, mistreated, down on her luck girl and 4 good-looking, well-off men whose lives get entangled.
Be very clear about the implications of watching a fluff drama:
1. Don't expect logic.
2. Don't expect realistic portrayals.
3. Expect over-the-top stuff.
4. Expect Love triangles and love polygons.
5. Expect drama.

FYI, the FL is not a ditzy damsel in distress. Quite the contrary.

Keeping all the points mentioned above in mind, this drama is quite enjoyable. The story while predictable is engaging (I did skip through the unnecessary plot points like the step family plotting, fake dad ). The acting is good, decent. The leads are natural and have great chemistry with eachother. I loved Il Woo. Lots of cutesy scenes and pretty good kissing scenes that had me swooning. The story can get annoying ( reasons why the FL-ML break up, wrong-doers not punished, no meaningful redemption for Cinderella 's dad, etc.). But, it has a happy ending.

Good set of OST.

The romance, the fluff and all the cute stuff made it enjoyable to me despite the shortcomings in the story. If you enjoy fluffy stuff or are looking for a drama to pass time, this meets the criteria.

the corniest and cheesiest thing ive ever watched, but i ate that UP!

you HAVE to love the ost. btob, you will always be perfect

anyways, it is an easy-to-digest show with an extremely lovable FL. the second FL, though… can she shut up for two seconds?

my main issue with this show is why they dropped the hyunmin x hawon plot. it was going well and it would’ve been a lovely way to go, but they gave her to jiwoon?

it feels like the screenwriters were taking it one way then decided to backtrack and make the series go a COMPLETELY different direction.

Cinderella didn't choose the best guy this time

I love all Cinderella movies and every possible version of it, so when this title appeared in the suggestions on my Netflix, I couldn't resist! It took me 5 days to see the whole thing and it was a beautiful week.

Female lead is independent and does not give a shit. It was very refreshing point of view on Cinderella. Also this type of female character seems to be quite rare in k-drama and Ha-Won stands out 😅💪 She is strong mentally and with her body 😍 I liked from the first moments of the drama and didn't lose it even when she was a bit annoying by the end of the drama. I found an comment calling her situation a "reversed harem" and that was so accurate!

Sweet chemistry between the leads was inevitable as they had many cute moments. But because the sentance that was the most often said between these two was not "I love you" but "fuck off" 😂💜 makes their love story funny. Seo-Woo is one of my most liked characters as he has his own life and is not unneccesarily mean to others but his carees is just thrown onto spectators and never explained how, what and why. I personally think that he would be a better partner for Cinderella.

Big minus - Cinderella is surounded with Four Knights only in a theory. She lives with 3 of them and fourth (?) is coming and going and we also know shit about him. The title completly doesn't corespod with that is actually going on in the drama.

Maybe drama has a few shortcomings but fortunately the drama is well put together so they are not bothersome. Personally, I liked the drama because it is a fresh look at the Cinderella story and I would rate the series 6/10 - it's not over the top but also not boring 👌😋 It has a good balance.

Till this day I have never even thought of searching for the soundtrack of a drama. Even though I loved many song in various productions, I had never downloaded it but "For You" from BTOB and "I Believe" of Younha had to be the exceptions. Those songs are so fantastic that I had to have them on my good-morning playlist.

Nooo! Why did this show have to end? My Saturday and Sunday mornings would start with this show and now that it has concluded, I have nothing to kickstart my weekend. Now how am I supposed to know that the weekend has arrived?

Let’s weigh Cinderella and Four Knights on our show beam balance and see how well this rom-com fares.

Good Weights
Ah Jae Hyun: I liked him from his first scene itself. His chemistry with the Park So Dam was far more electric than that with Jung Il Woo. I was rooting for Hyun Min (Ah Jae Hyun) for the longest time despite knowing the fact that Ha Won will eventually end up with Kang Woo. I was actually hoping for the show makers to surprise the audience and let her go with Hyun Min. His chemistry with Hye Ji (Son Na Eun) was just meh… maybe because Hye Ji herself was so meh on the show. Couldn’t they have given him more screen time? He was so good!

Park So Dam: This new age Cinderella is smart strong, brave, and indomitable. So Dam may not be an exceptional Korean beauty but her tomboy looks helped her look convincing in the show. She isn’t the perfect Cinderella but most certainly was the perfect Ha Won. She acts well and shares good chemistry with all the three Kang cousins.

Melodious OST: I give the show’s OST a big giant humongous thumbs up! Ji Woon and Ha Won’s love song ‘For You’ (the ballad version) gives you the feels. Its beautiful lyrics ‘…you’re the only one for me….I’m the only one for you’ perfectly captures what Ji Woon feels for Ha Won. ‘My Romeo’ by Jessi always reminds me of the first few episodes that were dominated by Hyun Min. It is a fun and peppy song that suits all the amusing and mischievous instances on the show. Finally, the song played mostly when someone (read Hye Ji) was brooding on the show, Apink’s ‘Without You’ is a song that will stick in your memory even when you do not really get the lyrics.

Bad Weights
Too Farfetched: Now tell me why will a chaebol (extremely rich businessman) grandfather hire a young girl to change or reform his young grandsons? Why would a grandfather keep a young girl in a house full of testosterones ooops…. I mean young good-looking boys and not expect her to fall for even one of them? He is aware of how rebellious those boys are, so what made him think that a lame ‘dating’ ban will stop the girl from falling in love with any of the boys. Had Grandpa threatened them with disownment; they would have all come wagging their tails behind him and he would have to neither spend money on Ha Won nor face the threat of one of his grandsons falling in love with a poor helpless girl.

Too Clichéd: Actually, rom-com’s like these are always heavily clichéd. The hero is always there to help the girl under every circumstance. He always reaches her wearing a jacket so he can offer it to her. He will always be around her when she is lonely and upset. He will always offer a shoulder to cry on when she is sobbing. This show had it all. It is a typical romantic drama and is nothing out of the box.

Though the show beam balance tilts with good weights, Cinderella and Four Knights is not a perfect drama. It is not even an ideal drama. It is a typical clichéd drama where you know what will happen next. However, despite the predictability people watch such dramas only for the ‘aww’ moments. And this show has plenty of them. Its good-looking cast is the cherry on the cake. I liked this show because it was funny and sweet. There was nothing complicated was entertaining for me.

If you like predictable stories with lots of lovely moments to swoon over then go for this one. Binge watch it over the weekend. Trust me you will not regret it.

• o idol, que nunca viveu o amor e se apaixona pela protagonista como se fosse fanfic feita por uma estudante;
• o filho oficial, mulherengo e mimado, que finge namoro com a protagonista pra esquecer a garota que ele realmente ama;

A Cheesy Yet Charming Step in Kdrama's Evolution

Having recently finished this, it's evident that kdrama has evolved significantly, especially in terms of writing. The series demonstrates a departure from the over-the-top 80's style melodrama, although not entirely. It’s apparent that many writers have either been replaced or have learned from their past mistakes, leading to generally improved storytelling in contemporary dramas.
The show is riddled with clichés, to the point of being cringeworthy. The "poor girl meets rich boys" trope is painfully overdone, and the predictable plot twists do little to add originality. Watching the show can feel like a checklist of kdrama stereotypes: the aloof chaebol, the kind-hearted heroine, the love triangles, and the obligatory makeover scenes. The formulaic approach makes it hard to take the drama seriously.
Yet, the series has undeniable charm, largely due to its cast. "Cinderella and the Four Knights" has served as a launching pad for many actors, notably the beautiful Park So Dam. Her performance, along with the rest of the ensemble cast, brings a level of charisma that partially compensates for the lackluster script. The actors' chemistry and charm provide some genuine moments of enjoyment amidst the sea of cheese.
Speaking of cheese, this drama has more than a Quattro formaggio pizza. The excessive romantic tropes and overblown emotional scenes can be both entertaining and exhausting. It's the kind of show where you can predict the next line of dialogue or the next plot twist with uncanny accuracy, which might be endearing to some viewers but tiresome to others.
Despite its flaws, it remains watchable, even if only as background noise while doing chores. The light-hearted nature of the show makes it easy to follow without demanding much attention or emotional investment. It's the kind of drama that you can enjoy in a passive way, perfect for multitasking.
In conclusion, it’s a mixed bag. On one hand, it showcases the growth and evolution of kdrama writing. On the other, it clings stubbornly to outdated tropes and clichés. While it might not be groundbreaking or particularly memorable, its likable cast and easy-to-digest format make it a tolerable watch for K-drama enthusiasts and casual viewers alike.
