Well... I watched the drama after the movie. Captivated by the beautiful colors, actors, chemistry and the story itself, I ran to watch the series to get a full understanding of the picture. Well, now everything has really become clear to me. The story is beautiful, but I have a lot of comments on the presentation... I won't say anything about the graphics, you'll see everything yourself. However, I think the chemistry between the characters could have been made stronger, because everything doesn't look serious. The main characters can be described in a couple of words - "mentor, mentor, mentor, mentor" and "Ye Hua, Ye Hua, Ye Hua, Ye Hua", very funny, though at first I felt some kind of cringe, and all the time I thought "oh my god, what the hell is going on", and only somewhere around the middle of the series did it start to drag on. In principle, after watching I didn't have such strong, negative emotions as while watching, I guess I got used to it - I got used to it and accepted this drama for what it is. I understand that the drama is old by standards, and it's true... after high-quality, modern works, it's really hard for the eye to watch this (at first). While watching, I kept thinking about what negative review I would write (probably partly because the main actors didn't accept it, because I wanted to see Yang Yang), because I was not satisfied with absolutely everything, but I'm shocked!!! That's it, all the negativity has evaporated. I'm just glad for the good ending and the explanation of everything that happened. The only thing is, it's a pity that the film and the series weren't filmed the other way around (Yang Yang and that actress in the drama, and Yang Mi and that actor in the film), well, it would have been better to film the drama better and wait for Yang Yang, phew. Eh, jokes, jokes. So watch with pleasure. And I'm off to watch the film again for a comparative analysis of the plot and consolidation, so to speak, and I'll move on to "Personal Diary" Was this review helpful to you?

Mark Chao and Yang Mi, rest of the crew and the amazing Director, I have to Thank each one of you for producing a beautiful series that shows every emotion that you could count.
MC and YM, I could not take my eyes off from the screen when you two are there. I wish I knew Chinese language so I could get most out of watching the show capturing every moment without reading the subtitles. YM and MC have an amazing chemistry and that's the "it" factor for success of this series! Without Mark Chao there is no amazing Ye Hua that every women’s dream of true love; absolutely you are amazing and your facial expressions say everything without expressing a single words and you really can cry OMG.
Yang Mi, I really think you are not only so beautiful but also a great and talented actress as your screen play character is pretty complex going from Si Yin, Su Su (real women that every man wants) to Bai Qian (the brave and kick ass high goddess). When you were sipping “Peach Wine”, I wish I can taste it on a tree top in the Ten miles of peach blossom.
Also I want to comment on EL – OST has its universal language and perfectly done without over doing it in the background.
I am watching the second time and enjoying, crying and laughing with sleepless nights. I have to say that I skipped some parts which I thought might not much to the main storyline.
Well after watching second time, I have withdrawal syndrome and I want to find another series but I am not sure I will be able to find something like this.
Mark Chao and Yang Mi, I would love to see you two together in another new series...

I have too many words that can show my love to this great drama and at the same time, I have no words that can express what I really feel. story wise, the misunderstandings killed me a few times where I yelled at my PC "Why? WHYYYY???" but I guess with a charater like the Crown Prince it was expected for him to carry the weight of the world... there was too many sad, tragic and unfair moments but I guess in the end it was worth it. I must say that to see such a sheeply CP turn into a predator-like man that earned to be with her while with her own consent, speaks volumes on how much he truly loves her and is determined to go no matter how far for her Was this review helpful to you?

YOU NEED TO WATCH THIS DRAMA OKAY!!!!
This was the first historical fantasy drama I watched and lord it did not disappoint...It starts off a bit slow but when it picks up it just grips you that you find yourself clicking the next episode even when you know you have work the next day. The love story is amazing...No other words. Female lead brilliant..her acting was amazing and I love dramas like these where females are strong and can stick up for themselves so seeing Bai Qian doing her thing was just beautiful *chef kiss* Please watch this drama..espesically if you're new to the genre this is the perfect one to start off with you definitely won't regret it!ps...you probably will cry sometimes and get frustrated with the characters sometimes but its worth it..watch it!

This show is split into 3 sections (chronological): Immortal Realm(immature characters), Mortal Realm, Immoral Realm(matured characters)
The characters really develop as you watch this drama all throughout as they start out as young and immature to logical and mature as the characters go through many conflicts through the story which changes them emotionally.

Love Story with suspense, twist and turns
The drama depicts a very wonderful and complex love story between Bai Qian and Ye Hua, they were both from a divine world and were each other's fiancées, although they were not aware of each other's identity at the beginning and fell in love in the mortal realm, They swear to never give up their love and keep their vow till the end of the story. there also had some other love stories in the drama along with this which were mesmerizing and showed true sacrifice towards their lovers. The story, costumes, acting, direction, music, everything were well crafted. The series is a bit long but worth watching till the endWas this review helpful to you?

I just finished the drama today, and I really wanted to cry at some parts but couldn't cause I was in public, but oh my. This drama had me enthralled to say the least. The only thing that made me a tad bit angry is the amount of times Bai Qian lost her memory. I mean the second time was on purpose, sure, but still. I'm glad things went well in the end, but I still would've like to see their second wedding. And have another kid, other than A-Li. My favorite character has to be A-Li, for the reason that, even though he never met his mother until 300 years after his birth, he still had love for her. He knew that Bai Qian and Ye Hua would be together again, he never lost hope. God, this kid is the best though. The episode where he meets her, and he agrees for her to go back to Heaven with them, before she even answers. A-Li is definitely Bai Qian and Ye Hua's kid, no doubt.
