Okay talking about Chinese drama this is one of the best ever

the tv series is great, the pacing was great ,they are only 2 characters who hold this drama
1)Ye hua ,he was the man of the drama he knew what he wanted and he knew how to get .Everytime he is in action he always win ,he was smart ,strong, powerful .
2)3rd brother of yehua's father(2nd prince) he was reliable and gives quite good advice.

Overall talking about this series the love triangle was written well, not like other tv series were they drag the Love triangle through the end making the viewers uncomfortable(l hate this).

Just my two cents

Story:

I have to commend that the series indeed gave justice to the manhua/novel of Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. Of course there were changes that is inevitable, but nonetheless, It was inclined with the original story.

Acting/Cast:

Yang Mi indeed showcased her excellent acting skills on her 3 characters in 3 different lifetimes. I love the badass High Goddess Fox Empress Bai Qian. I still find it amusing that Yang Mi always ended up portraying a dense female lead when it comes to love. She is very good at it! I love Si Yin too. I kind of banging my head when it comes to Su Su. I was cringing the whole time thinking of how weak Su Su is. Bai Qian is the ace character to die for.

Mark Chao is up to par on the strong line of characters and is actually good at keeping up with Yang Mi. I pity Mo Yuan for no getting Bai Qian but.. well.. He was bound for someone else. Ye Hua is a strong character that matches Bai Qian in terms of the domineering aura of a ruler of the Heavenly Realm.

It was worth to re-watch, I myself repeated it countless times that I can't even remember how many it was. I am a sucker for Xian xia series especially if this is being done by Yang Mi. The story would go so well! I love how all the characters compliment the storyline because of their superb acting skills.

What incredible chemistry and a brilliant plot line

I put off watching this drama as I didn’t like the photos of Mark Chao’s character (yes I know, super shallow) but eventually, due to the amazing reviews it’s had I thought I’d have a go.
I was a fool to not watch this sooner.
The characters, the acting, the costumes, the production values, etc… utterly brilliant. The baddies were so well played that I wanted to boo them off my screen as I ranted in frustration. The main couple had so much chemistry they were so believable. The child who played Ah Li was mesmerising. I could go on but you get my drift.
I loved Ye Hun, even when he was being pathetic in the Celestial Palace. He has such an adorable, dorky smile and telegraphed each and every emotion perfectly from frustration and authoritative commandant barking out orders to love struck puppy.
Yang Mi acted her little cotton socks off and I felt every bit of her despair, heartbreak, love and devotion both as Su Su and Bai Qian. I really enjoyed every aspect of her journey except for the last few episodes when I wept and wailed like a heartbroken teenager.
The rest of the cast were excellent even if I didn’t always agree with the plot lines they’d been given. The two main baddies played their parts so well that I wanted nothing more to stab them with a hairpin- both thwarted in love but the outcome of their situations was so different.
Would I watch it again? Very likely.

Best c-drama ever!

This is by far my most favorite c-drama ever! I have no idea how many times I have seen this at all!
I really like the storyline, how the FL is somehow very popular yet very mysterious at the same time, that nobody knows what she actually looks like. They did a great job at keeping it not too obvious plot, as they keep you anticipating what's going to happen next. The chemistry between ML & FL are so strong, I guess it helped that they are good friends in real life, that it exudes beyond the lens. Also, the other casts have great chemistry too. Perfect Casts! Their acting was on point. I mean it's Yang Mi and Mark Chao we're talking about here!
The part which I didn't like was the story between Yang Mi and Vin Zhang, it felt like they focused on their mini storyline way too much than necessary on the earlier part (a little bit further on too). But yes I get that he was too hung up on her and all.
I really wish they would do more seasons with the same cast, if not keep ML & FL the same. I wanna know their story after being married (officially), and see baby Ali with siblings!!

Compared to all the other c-dramas I started watching but dropped before the 3rd episode this drama is very decent. I loved it for the most part though there were a few things I found pretty annoying. For example, constant cliffhangers but not proper ones, instead it were just scenes cut in the middle. I guess it worked because I couldn't stop watching the drama and clicked the next episode as quickly as I could but it was way too... artificial and forced. Not a good way to create suspense.
I also noticed that all antagonists were women who were plotting to get the attention of a man and that annoyed me. Not that I expect it to be much different in a chinese drama as I am somewhat familiar with the cultural background and I know that our values and mentality are different but still I wanted there to be at least one female antagonist who had another goal and more ambition. On the other hand considering the genre and the focus on romance their absence is understandable. Male characters played a much more passive role so I had no other choice but hate female antagonists which I don't like to do. But despite the fact that I disliked female antagonists' fixation on men I like that they were at least smart and cunning.
Some plotlines seemed to be there for no reason other than laying a foundation for a sequel (the relationship between Bai Feng Jiu and Dong Hua Di Jun with a female being too forceful and obsessive). It definitely felt like forcefulness was romanticized many times in different relationships here (another instance - Bai Qian and Ye Hua). That's why my overall rating is lower even though I devoured this drama and couldn't stop thinking about it even when I wasn't watching it... but of course, it's just a personal preference

I this drama very much

After I watch this drama i came to write this review immediately.

In my opinion, not only does the plot of this drama carch my attention, but their costume are all great.

In addition, they has their bgm at the exact spot that really fit with the situation.

For the cast, I love Yang Mi the most. Not only in this drama, in every of her drama, she has had great performance.

To sum it up, the plots are great, the casts are also great and their costume are also great. Even after watching this drama for 5 times, I still have the emotion as when i first watched it.

Really recommend for watching.
It's one of the best drama with the best cast.

An enternal love it was

Just a quick review of watching this drama. I thought it was very good but not like the best ever. I liked the drama but didn't love it.

Story: Theres like 3 arcs you can say in this drama that involves the story of the romance between the main couple. I enjoyed the first arc and then the final one but I got bored during the second one. I didn't enjoy Susu because she is the type of character where they have no memories of their past, this I don't like. I must say that at first I was pulling for Mo Yuan and Qian Qian but later on Ye Hua won me over as the drama went. I have to say I did enjoy most of the love story between the 2. But here's the problem for me, I didn't care for the second couple of this drama. I wasn't into it as most people were. After the 2 leads I had a hard time enjoying any characters outside of them except for thier kid, Yan Zhi, and Li Jing of the ghost tribe. I really thought they should have focused more of Yan Zhi than Qian Qian's niece.

Acting/Cast: I think the 2 leads played their parts to the best. I enjoyed the kid who played the son of the couple. Then I adore the actress who played Yan Zhi (she deserves more work) and Li Jing who has become a new actor that I have started to like. I couldn't care for anyone else.

Music: This is the most important part of the drama. I happened to find out the ending song called bracing the chill in a youtube video of best chinese drama osts. I really enjoyed this song and found this drama leading me to watch it. The song is very good for the tone of the drama. The other soundtracks in this drama are quite good too.

Rewatch: The middle part of the drama was difficult for me to watch because I didn't enjoy it. Also some episodes at the end were too happy mood that they drag as well. I was waiting for the climax but it was taking a while. I would only watch some of the episodes again one in particular was my favorite episode. I believe this episode has the most viewed of any episode on youtube.

Overall: A very good drama but not the best ever.

I admit I first stopped watching this show after the first 7-8 episodes. I heard only good things about it but i was dissapointed throughout the whole beginning that i decided to drop it. I didn't care for any character in the beginning, except the Demon 2nd Prince and it took 8 episodes for the main male lead to properly appear, and the two main leads meet only 13 episodes in.. So one needs a bit of patience if one wishes to enjoy the fruits than come later on in this show.

It did take quite some time for me to like the main male lead but once i started to like him and to care about the love story between him and the female lead, i couldn't stop watching and had to binge all of it.

Because of the slow start I can't give this series a very good re-watch value, but honestly everything else is done amazingly. While in the story i found that some parts could have been more rich, and that some threads could have been developed in many interesting ways, overall the story is very captivating, especially in the second half.

The actors play superbly, especially the main leads who have great chemistry. The music is beautiful and along the OST of Ashes of Love these are my favourite songs from C-dramas, that I can't stop listening to even now.

The sets and costumes are beautiful, even if the Celestial Realm seemed less impressive to me than it did in AoL, the palaces looked more like Human Realm Palaces than like Godly Palaces. But the atmosphere was beautiful nonetheless.

What i liked about the story was that it was not mainly driven by villains' actions (there were actually only a few villains in the story) but mostly by the decisions and actions of the main characters instead.
The second couple's love story was actually very good and this shows why they deserved a whole spin-off dedicated to them.

This show is a great for everyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful love story with magic and suspense.

Overall this is a beautiful, heart wrenching, learning to love and hate series with various highs & lows! The start was rough for me, a few characters seemed like their actor lacked a true feel for expressing them but sticking through it the acting, character depth, & conveying of emotions got so much better... So much so that at episode 26 I was in tears saying, "... oh that b**ch!!" Then there were parts I just had to quote, episode 32:
A-li: If you feed me any more, I'll turn into a ball.
Ye Hua: That would be good then. When I take you back to Heaven, I wouldn’t need to fly. I could just roll you all the way to Qingyun Hall.

The actor playing A-li is simply the cutest! And Mark Chao as Ye Hua is a hot papi and a very loving, endearing father! Then at episode 39, prospects of a baby mentioned so innocently & adorably by A-Li had me quoting again:
Ye Hua: Qianqian, why don’t we have one after our wedding?
Bai Qian: I’d be happy to do it, if you’re the one who gets pregnant.

LMAO ROTFL I agree! He can have all my babies too! I share these just to say, this is a series worthy of the tears and angst.

Love the world. The love is addictive.

When the series came out, I didn’t want to watch it because of an incident with the main actress Yang Mi. But everyone was raving about it so I caved. All I can say is Yang Mi really knows how to pick the winners.

The story is good but I think it’s the way the drama was done that is so appealing. It’s so beautiful and relaxing that you kind of just enjoy all the scenes. The supporting cast is fantastic and it wouldn’t be what it is without them. The characters and their interactions are probably what make the show so addictive.

The setting was absolutely gorgeous and it just looked like a high budget series.

For the romance lovers out there, this was definitely made for you. I think it is at the top of the list for those who like love stories.

Okay.... I'm really not sure what to think of this drama. I found Bai Qian annoying at the beginning, and it definitely took a while before the drama picks up (which, to be fair, is typical of cdramas of this length). Excellent acting, cast, but the storyline definitely left something to be desired.

The most enjoyable part for me was definitely the latter half. The most red-flagged part of this whole drama was when BQ was in the mortal world and basically couldn't remember everything and Ye Hua met her and they fell in love. Is it just me that felt this whole arc was extremely shady and dubious? Do people not find this whole arc highly problematic? YH basically lied to her the whole time while she was unaware and vulnerable, they fell in love, and then soon after, they even had a kid while she was still completely oblivious as to her true self. Not to mention, not once did I find the two of them to be on equal footing while BQ was mortal, where she was meek and constantly needed saving and help. This basically tainted the basis of their whole relationship for me, where I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Overall, it was still an interesting drama - I don't get the extreme hype it got, but I get why people liked it. The two main leads had great chemistry, and I also enjoyed the side couple (Feng Jiu and Dong Hua) as well, which kept me going. Also! The amazing OST, which was definitely one of the best parts of this drama.

A beautiful love story, excellent cast of actors as well a beautiful music.
The perfect cast of actors, too little interaction with Mo Yuan and Bai Qian after he was revived.
Love all the peach blossom scenes as well as the interaction between Bai Qian, A Li along with Mo Yuan.
Story should have been extended to include the wedding of Bai Qian and Ye Hua with everlasting happiness.
Puzzling thought, why were there no scenes with Bai Qian's other siblings (her eldest brother and Bai Yi's wife?)
Other wise excellent settings and beautiful costumes.
Enjoyed this immensely and have re-watched numerous times.
