Qing Ying marries Hong Li as his second wife, along with Gao Xi Yue as a concubine and Fucha Lang Hua as the main wife. Despite her position, Hong Li favours Qing Ying more than his other wives by spending his first night with her. Six years later, Emperor Yong Zheng dies, and Hong Li succeeds to the throne as Emperor Qian Long and Fucha Lang Hua as his empress. Niohuru Zhen Huan is honored as Empress Dowager and pushes Qing Ying to choose between her aunt, Empress Ulanara, or her own life since the Empress Dowager can only tolerate one Ulanara existence in the whole inner palace.
