Game Breaker: Unawakened City is a Chinese sci-fi, virtual reality movie. The movie is about an orphan girl who accidentally enters a holographic game designed by her own father, her journey to save the players in the game, and to find out the mystery of her father's murder. This movie reminds me of the Tron movies and the anime Sword Art Online. They all take place in VR games. The visuals in the virtual reality world in Game Breaker: Unawakened City are stunning. The cast did pretty well in playing their characters; I just wished that the movie was slightly longer so there would be more character development. The soundtrack was pretty good and fit the movie. Overall, if you're into the sci-fi genre then I would recommend you give this movie a try.

A Layered VR Mystery

This is an intriguing virtual reality sci-fi. The premise is compelling, and I really enjoyed the visualizations of the digital world where most of the story takes place. I also became attached to several of the characters, finding them fun, endearing, powerful, or tragic. I appreciated the layered storyline, which centers around a virtual reality game and the assassination of its designer, gradually unfolding to reveal the central conflict as the protagonists uncover the truth about their world and seek to correct past mistakes.
