If you and loved ones are currently healthy and you can stop thinking for 16 episodes...
...this is an enjoyable drama. I'm saying this honestly, I liked it. Despite the themes being kind of difficult personally, I think it was entertaining, interesting, and emotionally very engaging. The male leads act very well, whether that is Jung Jae Young or Yang Se Jong. Se Jong definitely deserves the praise but Jae Young is on point as well. Their chemistry together is pleasant. Some other actors are not that good or that experienced in my opinion but overall the cast is solid. Lee Na Yoon's Soo Yeon stole my heart the minute she appeared, she's adorable and can act as well. Now the core of it. The story is sad, dark but gripping. It does explore fascinating and delicate concepts, ideas and themes. There are some unexplored areas that could have been interesting to dig in, although not necessary - the main points are there. However, it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Plot holes are everywhere and many things are kind of swept under the carpet. The biggest issue is that the writing, while superficially entertaining, is really not that strong and you don't need to go deep to see it. Hence the necessity to turn off your brain almost entirely if you want to be able to enjoy this drama. If you can do that, I would say it's rewarding. If you can't, don't bother, the stupidity will drive you insane. I thought of giving up until episode 6 and then I decided I wanted to see what happened to these guys until the end despite the rest.
The good ? The characters and especially their relationships. It's original and unique. On their own, they're pretty simple people. But their very complex situation makes it so much more intricate. Choi Jo Hye was a reason for some people to give up the show but I think she was an interesting character despite being unlikeable (although I'm unsure about Kim Jung Eun's acting here). The others are all mostly likeable - and I really need to say this : people spitting on Deuk Cheon for his behaviour while praising Sung Hoon have issues. Deuk Cheon was kind of extreme in the first like 3 episodes, but I mean - yeah, of course he was ? He more than makes up for any of his faults in the remaining 13 ones. He's a good guy, a good character and I like him a lot. No, he doesn't scream that much. Sung Hoon is excellent at what his character is meant to be. OK, now that it's said... Romance ? No. Absolutely not among the main cast. You may think the contrary in the beginning. But there is none. Which makes their bonds all together that much more interesting and touching to me. The growing affection between Sung Joon and Deuk Cheon was in particular very, very nice to see, I really loved it.
So. Basically, from an objective, factual point of view, this show is kind of garbage. As I said, it's absurd. I would not rate it more than, like, 6,5 at best for the interesting ideas and the fun you may have laughing at all the nonsense. However, for its characters and relationships, I would rate it a 9-10. So what does it leave us with ? To be really fair, all considered, it probably doesn't deserve more than 7.5. B,ut what can I say ? My feelings take precedence over my mind. So I'll rate it an 8 and stay on that note - and say again that as long as you're not currently hoping for a supposedly miracle cure that would heal anything and everything for yourself or a loved one that you know will simply never come and that this drama would throw at your bitter face, and you can branch off from the critically thinking parts of your brain, you're good to go. Also, if you think it's boring but you don't totally hate it yet, try to stick until episode 6, things really start to move then.

Easily the most amazing but terrifying kdrama I have ever seen
This one has a special place in my heart because it's the only kdrama I've ever seen that shocked me into silence... multiple times...at least half a dozen times I had to stop watching to emotionally process what I had seen just to remind myself that it was acted and that it wasn't real. Yang Se Jong plays 3 different characters: a set of clones and a doctor, and his acting never fails across the entire series.
The main scenes that I find the most memorable include the first fight between the clones which was incredibly done and the effects for that were the best I had seen in any kdrama ever. They were subtle, but my god they were SO GOOD!
The other one was the final scene with the doctor where he was vivisected... This is the reason I couldn't raise the re-watch value any higher because this scene felt far too real to me. I know that's the point but it felt illegal to watch that and I couldn't bare to watch that scene again even if i did watch the series again.
I noticed that there were a lot of kidnappings, rescues, and torture scenes--more than realistically i think there would be if this actually happened but I wont complain because the series overall was a great watch! :D
take out the final vivisection of the doctor and I'd watch it every year!

An intense chase thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat - for a little too long
The plot is good and the way they reveal info in bits and pieces gives you time to think for yourself, wonder how the characters will react and twists the plot in rather mind blowing ways. As a concept I think it's very interesting and so far I haven't come across a similar plot. The main actors deliver a good performance, especially Yang Sejong, acting three different people while still managing to deliver distinguishable personalities for each character. However, I think they could've easily made this a 12 episode drama. At one point it just starts to feel like they're dragging it out. Similar scenes keep repeating and some conversations just go in circles with different phrases. The drama also puts certain cliches like getting run over by a vehicle into, honestly, too much use. It was almost comical how much unnecessary and easily avoidable death this drama contained. I seriously started to wonder if the characters were just straight up stupid. On the plus side though, the drama did a very good job keeping up the tension throughout the entire series and every cliffhanger just made you wanna jump right into the next episode. You might have to tough it out but it's hard to drop. With a little help from the skip button, I'd wholeheartedly recommend this drama.

Amazing Cast for an Amazing Drama
If you are a sucker for dramas with a lot of action, injuries & crime, then this is 100% the drama for you. This is one of the few dramas for me that has an extremely high rewatch value. The cast in this drama was perfectly picked with high class acting pulling off some difficult roles.
STORY -
As for the overall story, we saw a lot of actions scenes with the concept or cat & mouse chases. With the three main parties involved, there was action, injuries & development in every episode. There were one or two episodes in the middle where the drama slowed down, but that was purely to prepare you for an impactful finish.
With such an advanced concept, explaining everything was definitely a difficult challenge. However, to my surprise I didn't feel confused. A lot of information was given to the viewers over the episodes, so getting a clear understanding of how & why things happened was great. There was some information missing or didn't add up, but compared to other dramas in similar concepts / genres, this was explained amazing.
CAST / CHARACTERS -
Overall the casting for this show was great with a lot of the main actors executing their roles perfectly. To me, there were two main characters that stood out.
Playing identical twins / clones is always a difficult role for any actor. However, it was pulled off perfectly in this drama. Everything from the facial expressions, way of speaking and facial expressions was distinct between the two characters. It was interesting to watch throughout the whole drama and at times made me wonder how the scenes were filmed to be so perfect when the two characters met.
Another character that really stood out to me was the female prosecutor. And if you found her annoying you, then congrats, she played her role perfectly.
It's impossible for two people to have the exact same fingerprint and DNA, so her conclusion that that main MC was the kidnapper was justified as both DNA and fingerprints matched that of the crime scene. Apart from that, as you see in the first episode, Jang Deuk Cheon was out of his mind, so of course she'd believe science.
If anything, she was the most logical in all the situations while investigating the truth.
REWATCH VALUE -
This has and probably always will be one drama that I consider to have a high rewatch value. Every time I watch it I discover more information that I hadn't noticed the previous time. On top of that, the action & actors make this a great drama in general.

This show is SO UNDERRATED!!
Wow! As an avid thriller/action kdrama enjoyer, I thought I had already seen all of the “good” shows in that genre and was expecting this to be disappointing considering the lack of reviews/hype around it. That couldn’t be further from the truth. This show was unexpectedly AMAZING. I didn’t get bored once throughout all of the 16 episodes, and the plot was exciting and engaging. The acting was insanely good too. And for once, I didn’t absolutely hate the ending lol!My only complaint is there are a few plot holes, but honestly, the acting and pacing makes it not incredibly noticeable or impactful unless you care a TON about small details. One plot hole in particular bugged me a bit, but I could still overlook it as the show is amazing in every other aspect.
If you enjoy thrillers (especially ones with sci-fi, medical experiments, mysteries, and fighting) and haven’t seen this show, I would highly recommend this! I still cannot believe I didn’t hear about it until now honestly. It’s just as good (if not better) than some of the big name/hyped kdramas in the same genre!

Please watch this underrated kdrama
Idk why still many people haven't watched this master piece. YSJ has truly did his job as a monster rookie and he completely ate all the three roles he played. Everything was to the point. You'll be on the edge of your seat while watching it. This drama has no skippable parts. Please watch it if you love twists. That's all I can sayWas this review helpful to you?

.
After many months, I can finally write this review. This drama made a big impact on me. It took me about two weeks before I could watch other dramas again. The story and scenes stayed in my mind for a long time. I gave the "rewatch value" a score of 8 because the scenes and the plot are very memorable, which means the drama is really good.
I'm not very good at rating or writing reviews, but this is my opinion. The story was well done and very interesting. Yang Se Jong's acting made it even better. He brought the characters to life and made the story more real.
This K-drama "Duel," you know how good Yang Se Jong is at playing different roles. He played two characters with different personalities and did a fantastic job. Both dramas show his great acting skills.
Both dramas also look at human relationships and the tough choices people have to make. They are realistic and make you care about the characters. This drama, in particular, was good at showing the struggles and successes of the characters, making it relatable and powerful.
The production quality was also high. The cinematography, music, and direction all worked well together to create a great atmosphere. Each scene was carefully put together to make the drama more emotional and visually appealing.
In conclusion, this drama left a strong impression on me. The acting and story were excellent. Even though I'm not great at rating or writing reviews, I hope my thoughts help others understand why this drama is worth watching. It made me feel a lot and stayed with me for a long time. If you like well-made stories and strong performances, you should definitely watch this drama.

Resenha- Duel
