Queen for Seven Days made me cry on each episode. It was not boring and it definitely gave me a roller coaster of feels every single time. I love how the writer gave these characters really distinct characteristics, which adds up to why the drama is so interesting. There were very intense and serious scenes but i liked how they throw some sweet and cheesy scenes with the couple as well. The drama just plays with your emotions great enough for you to never let go of it. All in all the drama was carefully written although the plot was simply sibling rivalry for the throne and love for the same woman, it was not draggy nor slow for me.

For the acting I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. The actors were definitely perfect for the role each and every one of them. Everytime I see Yeon Woojin kiss or hug Park Min Young my heart flutters. He just kisses so gently *screams* I swear. This drama made me ship them. Yeon Woojin needs to do more saeguk dramas it suits him so much, he could pull off any costume and not look bad on them this drama can attest to that from prince, rebel, palace guard, to even king he'd look handsome and i bet he'd pull the lines too!

Music was definitely wonderful! If i could name the songs I like Love Again by Dear Cloud is one of them. This was like the tear jerker of all the ost's it helped me sob more while the drama was playing. And another would be the cute songs Dazzling You by Yoo Yeon Jung of Cosmic Girls, & When the Moonlight Shines on You by Fromm.

Would I watch it again tho? I don't know, i cried so much that i don't want to go through it again. However for people who do not easily cry, i'm sure you'd want to watch it again because it just absolutely beautiful.

This drama is absolutely a 10/10.

Beautiful and tragic drama

Right from the very beginning you are aware of what you are about to watch, the title tells it pretty straightforward too.

The first episodes are a bit slow paced but then, as you start getting used to the characters, you are more and more curious to see what it will happen next. The ending, in my opinion, is heartbreaking but a bit bittersweet.

The acting was very good from the main characters but the highlight for me must be Lee Dong Gun for playing such a conflicted character. Even though the king is a tyrant, sometimes you can't help but feel bad for him. The younger actors were so well chosen!

The OST was nice.

I don't know if I'm the only one but after finishing this show, I need to watch something uplifting. The ending will be stuck in my head for a few days, such a sad one.

Queen for Seven Days" is a touching historical drama based on a true story from Korea’s Joseon dynasty. It tells the heartbreaking romance between Queen Dangyeong and King Jungjong, whose love was torn apart by political power struggles. The chemistry between Park Min-young and Yeon Woo-jin is captivating, and their tragic love story unfolds with emotion and intensity. It’s a beautifully crafted tale of love, sacrifice, and fate that stays with you long after the final episode. I truly enjoyed it.

Alot of struggle for nothing?

Heavy. It's like eating pancakes for breakfast it's great as your eating it but afterwards it just feels heavy on your chest. Everyone was either crying or dying in every single episode like Gosh bless. The parents died for literally NO reason and the couple separated for a reason but then when everything was perfectly resolved they NEVER even got back together!! It kept you going but the ending left you feeling nothing. The longer it sits the more I'm not happy about it. The end just felt so dumb.

I loved absolutely loved it. It was so good. The story, acting, ost everything was so good. Especially the ost's made it much better. The events from childhood to adulthood made it extremely nostalgic. I loved the fact that there love for each other never faded nor fid they ever betray each other. It felt good knowing it is based on actual historical events. This is my most favorite historical kdrama. In my opinion this drama deserves much more recognition and appreciation. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Good, but what a sad love story ...

This drama was really really really good. The only reason why I did not give it a 10 is because I really did not like the fact that the female lead waited and somewhat wasted her whole life for the male lead; she suffered so much. This drama had me reflecting on modern day life, and I thought about how much the righteous and integral people in this world suffer. Despite the female lead waiting for the male lead to die when they're both in their 80's, I did like the ending, because the female and male lead separated. The reason I like their marital separation is because he, the king (male lead character) never put the female lead character first. His priority was the thrown. He was late for their wedding, they didn't spend the night together on their wedding night, when he escaped from imprisonment he went to see his mother before his wife, he lied to her constantly, and he allowed his mom to try and behead her (his wife-the female lead), etc. Additionally, she faced so much emotional trauma (e.g. being a hostage, parents being murdered, almost dying twice, etc) that I don't think their marriage could have been peaceful. Thus, it was better for them to separate and hold onto any peaceful memories they had left.

The only con that I had is I believe this drama could have been 18 or 19 episodes instead of 20.

I have mixed feelings about this one.

The story and acting was great. I liked the fact that they stayed true to the real story behind it till the end but at the same time I wished it ended differently.

Overall, I think this drama is really good but I love happy endings and although it is not like this ended in tragedy but the ending was definitely bittersweet and made me cry and feel angry, not at the drama since it was based on a true story, but at how miserable the real people behind this story must have been.

I will probably not watch it again (at least not anytime soon), not because it was not good but because I do not want to feel the way I felt watching this again.

My policy is to only rewatch dramas with happy endings or at least endings that do not make me feel this much pity for the main characters.

I will still recommend this to you. It is definitely worth watching at least once. Unless you cannot handle bittersweet endings no matter what. Then I am not so sure this is the drama for you.
