Amazing simply amazing
I did enjoy watching the story, it had an interesting premise from start to finish .I fell in love with Long Feiye and Yun Xi immediately I loved everything about the show, the ending made me cry for a whole day. Gu Qi Shao was so loveable in the show, but Long Feiye was just gorgeous and breathtaking to look at. I enjoyed the movie so much I ended up reading the book which has 1380 chapters and the book is simply amazing . This show is definitely the top of my rewatch list and I have rewatched the show twice . Great job to the cast, the producers and the director. A good Vintage piece
For a 2018 drama, I feel like this drama aged fairly well. It has all the 2018 writing classic and costumes.I didn't realized it was the same actors from The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and I'm glad they got to work together again. I really enjoyed the acting from the FL, I think Ju Jing Yi is an adorable and very pretty actress. I felt like she gave really great chemistry and even though her character was up and down for me, she played it well.
I feel like Zhang Zhe Han has improved a lot from this drama. In The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion he basically had the same character role, but had a lot more emotion and depth in that one. In The Legend of Yan Xi, he was very stiff and at times I thought the drama was on pause because he never moved his eyes or facial expressions. Other than that, he was nice to look at and who can complain about the scene scenes?
Of course the costume and CGI isn't up to par to what we watch now, 4 years later, but at the time, it looked pretty grand. I'm glad we have moved away from gaudy sets and more subdue looks and muted color tones.
The first few episodes were hard to get through, only because the FL had to go through some hardships and I wasn't a fan of that, but towards the middle, it really picked up and I liked the antics they were getting into. I liked that she was a doctor and they were both saving people.
Of course in C drama fashion, the last bit kind of gets crazy, with misunderstandings, back stabbing and lot of fighting, but that is pretty typical.
Overall, if you are a fan of the actors or don't mind a vintage piece this one is worth trying.

This is my first historical Chinese drama ever watched and i loved it the most. i was very much impressed by the story line. a girl who plays the most important part in a story is what attracted my attention and pulled me further to the finish line. the way Prince Qin is impressed by her wits and kindness and most importantly those cute moments of Romance between both made me repeat those episodes. so tender and true to the heart. i felt as though i was in her place and dint prefer to come to my senses . hope there is such true love in this world. the opening and ending songs are excellent. nice background score during romantic, happy and emotional situations. i am a music lover and it has all that is needed.
every one has an important role to contribute to the story. they literally lived their characters. my eyes got wet in many scenes, as such is their acting. everyone are at their peaks. i couldn't take my eyes off the male and female leads. all are so perfect.
coming to the ending i was bit anxious how the director would end. in this world people are already facing problems and are being unhappy in their respective levels. so i think every drama should have happy endings. thinking optimistically , being optimistic would have optimistic results in our actions. however, its a good thing that the director gave two choices of ending , thus leaving the selection of ending that a viewer prefers. but, if it was a strong happy ending it would have been even more satisfactory. i would like to start watching all over again.

Drama start with a good beginning , good story line showing pure love but last few episodes get bored as well as not need of such stretchingof story.Though their is love triangle but it just show pure love and true friendship.I really don't understand last few episode stories line that first he pushes her then they reunion but how that don't know then she pushes him then they reunion how that don't show .Then at the end sad ending and end with a confusion part that she is alive or his imagination or that bangle which disappeared from her hand bring her back to life.if there was 48 episodes so they can make one more episode to clear our confusion of last part ,we don't have problem to watch one extra episode.
One time watch ,if you like love story then you can watch this drama but still it has sad ending .

Slightly above average drama but nothing spectacular
Did I enjoy this drama...kind of. I certainly didn't hate it. However, about 3/4ths of the way through I started losing interest but I finished it anyway.The story started out great, and then it started to get a little muddled. There are some plot points thrown in that don't really make sense and aren't fully fleshed out. These are used mainly to just drive the story forward without having to answer too many questions or explain things. It's kind of annoying, to be honest.
The acting is decent, there are some that are really good and then some that are kind of just okay.
The characters, for the most part, are decently fleshed out and not just one single attribute but then a lot of the characters are and their personality is just made of one thing. That's annoying as well because I'd like for some of them to have more depth but whatever I guess they are side characters for a reason.
The music and ost are beautiful sounding to me, however, it's not the best I've ever heard.
If you're looking for a decent drama and you're not too worried about plot holes or having a fully fleshed-out plot and can handle some subpar acting then give it a shot. However, if any of that is going to bother you I'd say pass. Unless of course, you're interested in Zhang Zhe Han as much as I am haha...he's so pretty to look at. Ju Jing Yi is really pretty as well.
*Spoiler..kinda*: There are 2 different endings to this drama. One is a sad ending and the other is "happy"...depending on how you would define that. The version you see will depend on where you watch it. But both endings can be found as clips on youtube.

Historical Drama focusing on POISON & MEDICINE
In this drama, I only knew Zhang Zhehan from Nirvana in Fire and Word of Honor. I must say that I didn't really expect to find the chance to know and watch this series coz' I have tried so hard finding a nice series to watch but I always failed to finish a new one.Lemme start my review. I just like how this drama progressed from episode to episode. I love the characters, the leads and supporting casts. I love how they portrayed their roles. I love the story, the acting, the fighting scenes - nice CGI and lastly the Mansions, the ornaments, the design and the costumes - i think the best i have seen so far from a chinese drama.
Must- watch!!!

Story: It’s very light and entertaining. The combination of the comedy, romance and drama is just right. I love the pacing and everything on it.
Acting: Usually for this type of drama, the female lead tends to be annoying or overbearing but ju jing yu acting is so refreshing and her expressions are so on point. I love her character and how to interpreted it. For the main lead, i also love zhang zhehan’s character that made me fall in love him. I love their chemistry!
Over all, it’s such a great watch and i feel lucky that i came across this gem!

And want more and more zhangzhehan and jujingyi together. May Almighty give many more drama with jingyi_zhehan lead pair up .and i really pray they trun in real couple toooo.... zhangzhehan is handsome and jingyi cute baby.... really want legend of yunxi 2....with long feiye +yunxi +their kids

The ladies in this drama are dangerous, from Kung-Fu, to scheming to poisons.
The overall storyline was okay, I do feel it is a little draggy and could have been over 10 Episodes earlier but I guess that's what dramas are all about.
Everyone is someone else' ally or enemy or both.
The royal children needed to be reigned in and trained, in most instances they were just as murderous as their parents and one wondered what would happen to the Kingdoms once they took over.
The aspects of these plots, where some women feel that they have the rights to the hero despite him having a wife really gets to me.
The drama is overall a good drama to watch, not one that I would readily put in my rewatch cadre but it is worth watching.

The music of this drama is very good and soothing and I like the music.
If I talk about the plot, the plot of this drama is amazing. The story they show, the love, the friendship they show is amazing. The plot contain everything like romance, to cure poison, herbs and friendship and a kindness.
I love every character specially Yun xi and gu xishao. Their bond of friendship or I can say the love of gu xishao for Yun xi was actually pure. Yun xi is a lovely and cute character.
Prince xin character is also good. He plays his role very well. Chemistry of Yun xi and prince xin was good.
Gu xishao character was good too. I love his acting. He plays every scene with feelings.
I can watch this drama again. Love it!!♥️

I'm Indian but i am in love and great fan of these three beautiful character han yunxi, long feiye,gu qishao.
The story rotates around the tough n pity life of a girl who is not loved by her own family members,
But she is blessed by having kind and loving husband .she also meet a kind friend who save and help her every time inspite of the consequences.these two man support her in her difficult time.
But still path of her life is full of hurdles.

Watched this coz I like ZZH and JJY
I’m a shipper of the ML and FL. Story wise, the novel is way better than the drama adaptation that I am reading it for the 2nd time! I wished the writer could have taken more from the novel in terms of the interaction between the ML and FL because they’re always together; unlike in the drama wherein she spent more time with GSS.ZZY did a good job portraying the ice cube character of LFY. JJY needed more of the feistiness of the FL’s character. But, I don’t see anyone playing this role other than her for some reason. It’s worth a watch but I suggest that you watch this first before reading the novel or else you’ll get frustrated. Curiosity made me read it and I’m glad I did.
