you will surely love z.tao in his role and of course other cast in this drama.
it shows that no matter what happens you need to keep going and don’t give up on your dreams. i really like dramas where you have so much to learn and be inspired. I AM REALLY A FAN OF THIS DRAMA

First episode was good and funny .lead actress positive attitude is the best one ,she had no fear . Then drama got slow and boring till 30the episode then story came into tract . I thought that they should shown second lead couple love story too so I guess the story would got better . I don't like the drama much because there no new I found . The lead actress introduced herself as that she liked to sing ,she wrote songs too so I thought her song would be sung by him but nothing happened ,her dream story had lost somewhere in the drama and then he drew full accessory set for her then why he gave the ring only not full set .so many things were missed in the drama. Good drama but has things to improve
I was highly anticipating this drama because of Thao. This drama made me also begin to like Janice Wu as well. The drama started off good as the main leads, Boxu and Zhen Zhen, were like in that bickering singer-assistant relationship but gradually turns into love after awhile.There were times where I had to skip a couple of scenes that were either boring/annoying or irrelevant to the story, which is okay. In general, I felt like it wasn't necessary to have 44 episodes when it could really but cut down to maybe at least 30 if you take off all the irrelevant scenes. Also, the unrequited love storyline of Ri Zui and Yian was annoying and pointless. Instead of including their storyline, they could've used those times to add more scenes between the main leads. Like yeah the main leads had sweet moments throughout the drama, HOWEVER, as far as I remember, they officially got together like 2-4 (I think) episodes towards the end of the drama which I'm like WHAT? I would've wanted to see more of their sweet moments if they had started dating like maybe somewhere in the middle of the drama. And too much business issues that it also made part of the story drag.
Most importantly, one thing that threw me off a lot were the supporting characters, mainly Zhen Zhen's best friend Yuan. OMG I really hated her character. Mostly because of her obsessive unrequited love for Ri Zui, who is in love with Zhen Zhen and desperately trying to win her back. Zhen Zhen doesn't have feelings Ri Zui anymore and clearly rejected him every single time he asked to get back together. Despite all that, Yuan still had the nerve to get mad at Zhen Zhen (even though she didn't do anything wrong) that she moved out of their house to stay away from her and gave her the cold shoulder for a couple of episodes just bc Ri Zui still loves Zhen Zhen. I'm like bruh, you're being totally unreasonable that you'd affect your friendship? Petty and annoying. I don't remember if they ever got together in the end since I watched this drama a couple of months ago but she was just annoying as hell. Ri Zui and Yuan storyline were at the same time totally pointless and a drag to the story. They should've just focused on one triangle which was between Boxu, Zhen Zhen, and Ri Zui.
Overall, the drama was good but it could've been better if they had taken off all these flaws.

plEASE, Why Haven't I Watched This Earlier??
AFTER WATCHING EDITS FOR 2 YEARS I FINALLY GOT TO WATCH THIS DRAMA. Yes, there were some things left out, but then again, they applied to the supporting characters, not the main ones. The show also ran for too long in my opinion, there were so many scenes that would've been okay to keep short, but they were long. Personally, I felt the show could have been brought down to 30 episodes max. Episode 3 in specific I skipped a lot on simply because there was only development on the background plots, and not the main plot. I only watched about 10 minutes of it max.Yang Zhen Zhen is a funny character. She has, and I practically quote "no feminine tenderness". Then again, when you're the manager of an annoying guy, that tends to happen. Zheng Bo Xu is the epitome of bipolar in my opinion. Obviously, when something happens, your mood will change, but I felt like sometimes his mood changed for unexplainable reasons, I don't know how else to describe it. I honestly didn't Xia Yuan, I felt like she was a really sensitive person. Yet at the same time, she's a very straight forward person. Maybe the reason I didn't like her was because of her childish resemblance. Every time she spoke, it felt like she was whining for no reason, so I guess that irritated me. Yu Zi Rui had a lot of development as a supporting character, which surprised me a lot since most of the time supporting characters remain the same. The other supporting characters are okay, I didn't like VP Ma Li Na though, she felt irrelevant tbh.

This is a drama that needs your patience.
It took a while for me to finally get the gist that this drama is worth watching. It was like half of the whole drama when things actually got more exciting and it's no longer frustrating for the first part is mostly about the company's business. I skipped a LOT of those scenes wherein there's just endless bickering of the ones running the company which is super annoying. The relationship of the 2 main leads may be quite slow-paced, but that's what made the latter part at the end more heartfelt. I felt all the emotions because I feel like I was with them all along as they go through all those loopholes and trials being thrown at them. It wasn't like those dramas that are just solving problem after problem, but they showed how love naturally came and their feelings are built out of helping and being together which made them the best version of themselves. What's really hands down for me is Tao's acting skills. Never did I expect him to be that good in acting. His role was definitely a perfect fit for him and every scene, especially when he teases and jokes around is really natural. I wish to see him more in dramas. Apart from that, he really did showcase his talent for the soundtrack is mostly sung by him and his songs here are top-notch, it's really addictive, and it's crazy how underrated he was when he was still in EXO. This could be 9-9.5 but I can't say I enjoyed every bit of it because they dragged too much on the business stuff which a lot of people from the comments also said that they have also skipped. The first half of the drama is dragging but the second half makes up for it all!!Overall, the 2 main leads unexpectedly have good chemistry and I'm just so ecstatic because their acting was so natural and the progress of their romance is not pushy at all. The amount of adoration and my respect for Tao as an artist, may it be as a singer or actor has tripled because of this drama. Will recommend!

a little boring, but that doesn't mean it's terrible
What's good about this drama ..* The star aura of Zheng Bo Xu very strong and he is very charismatic even though seen from the point of view of me who is not a fan.
* the original soundtrack is very good. Many rap songs very nice to listen..
* I think FL is good because she is steadfast and thinks logically.
*stories about his struggles and the ups and downs of his musical career touched me
The bad thing about this drama ..
*the romance between FL and SML too long running, it's very boring.
*for 45 episodes, the FL and ML love story only runs in the last few episodes, causing too few sweet moments.
I stopped around episode 20, then continued again and stopped again in episode 30's. I really struggled to solve this, but it ended up being done after many times of delay. lots of boring scenes
well, even though a lot of boring scenes, but I can finish it and I do not regret watching this

Listen to the negative reviews - the bickering, the side characters and draggy story
Watched this because of Z.Tao. Loved him in legally romance and since he’s playing quite a similar character in this series, I gave this a try.But I couldn’t for the life of me, finish this drama! I seriously hate the bickering between Z.Tao and Janice Wu! Something about Janice’s facial expression is off-putting; can’t really stand it!!
Couldn’t help but compare this to legally romance. in legally romance, the bickering moments between the CP was funny! I’d say it’s one of the strongest point of the drama. However, in the Brightest star in the sky, it’s painful to watch. Also had to skip a big chunk of the series as I couldn’t stand a lot of the side characters!

Worth giving a shot (aka my entry point to C-Pop and modern Chinese music)
I had watched snatches of this drama a year ago, back then, I did not find anything appealing and had dropped the drama early on. But I had loved the songs and started listening to Huang Z.Tao and C-Pop music IRL. In fact, in many ways this show was my entry point to modern Chinese music.But this time, I decided to give the show a second try and now have completed till episode 29. Of course, shall not deny, after a few episodes, I started skipping many of the scenes between the two female VPs of Star Entertainment and the President and his wife(who is also a former singing superstar). But it is equally true that these separate story arcs (side plots) are used to show how these characters take decisions that have an impact on the main characters of the show. And from that point of view including all that does not seem unreasonable,though I would still say that the VP Ma character and extra-marital affair angle with the President hiding his illness from his wife were totally unnecessary and avoidable.Not having those scenes would have made the narrative tighter.
I am really liking the ML, FL and SML performances. Especially the interactions between the ML and FL seem realistic and organic and I am enjoying every bit of their scenes. The SML's character struggles are evident and on restrospect though he comes across as the ideal guy, there are enough hints dropped from early on that his smiles are mostly from hi lips and not from his heart(as the ML says in one of the later episodes) and that he is indeed a grey character. The ML's characterisation is rounded and he comes across as extremely likeable as the episodes progress. Also his family --his relation with his father and sister and the hint of his father's second chance at life--are pleasant additions.
The music and thrust on music is the USP of the show for me and I am waiting to see how the remaining episodes unfold.

U guys have to watch this show
Okay i have to admit that i watch this show cause of Huang Zitao, but i can assure that you would not regret after watching this show. This show shows a typical life of a singer, the possible challengers that can be faced by a celebrity. Content in this show is quite realistic, like the love scene is realistic because they are grown up adult, unlike other show where the people are getting married after university.Just watch this show if u guys are into romance and music. This show is just dope.

Why it's should be everyone's favourite
I have seen the drama 5 times....i feel it have great feelings ..It feels a lot like reality ... it has fun, love, music.. sadness, laughter, almost everything that makes the story interesting.Not only for main characters but also the story is awesome...they help and understand each other ,,they love each other gradually...although the love story started after 30 episodes;that makes it realistic....
I love the story too much..especially the Boxu's character;;he is funny but emotional....Its really really really Awesome....
In my opinion it is a great story and drama although it's have many boring parts like the business part...But if you feel boring just skip those part ...
It's my favourite drama cause it have the feelings And i am just attached with it❤❣

good character development
It was about a newly famous pop star and his assistant who went through a roller coaster of problems until their happy ending. I really liked this, and everything was wrapped up nicely at the end. Although I really liked Boxu, his sister, Zhenzhen and Grandpa Gu, I couldn’t have cared less about the other characters, especially the CEO and Zirui. But the main couple was super cute (although it took forever for them to get together - slow burn slowly killed me) and I think they had pretty good chemistry. Their bickering was also entertaining and how you could definitely tell that there was so much character growth between the beginning and end of the drama.
