This drama has a great plot. I wanted to see the drama for many years, but before they were no subs :/

Now i remembered it and finally saw it. I really like revenge storys, so it was really exciting to see what will happen next.

A second aspect i like is, that you won´t hate charas only. You will love and hate charas at the same time as well as love and cry with them. The acting was great.

I didn´t like a few decisions from the charas, but it don´t interfere much with the overall result.

With 40 Episodes its a bit to long, but every minute its worth it.

One of the great hits of Taiwanese drama!

I super loved this drama. I cannot remember how many times I have re-watched this. The story is quite interesting. It revovlves around family, friends, job, and love. I also love the twist and turns of this drama. I cried a lot on this drama. Plus the actors were great! I love Joe Chen, Peilin and Wallace Huo.

The chemistry of Wallace Huo and Peilin was great too! I've wish they have more dramas, but unfortunately this was the only one.

Anyway, I highly recommended this drama. Its a must watch!

I remembered watching this drama a couple years ago and I never got to finish it because there was no subs. Then, I finished this a while ago because I was watching it on Youtube. Wallace and Joe and the rest of the character did a fantastic job playing their role. This drama was different from the ones I have seen because it was different. You will find yourself hating the characters and feeling sorry for them at the same time. Overall, I did liked the drama, but some parts were draggy. You just have to be patient. If you want to know what happen. Normally I don't like twins switching drama, but this one was wow. I was surprised. The OST was amazing. This was well made drama. I find myself shipping the bad guy and the main girl. I know that 40 episodes are long, but it's not at all if you just watch it just not consistently then you won't get bored. But in my opinion it's worth it. This was the drama that got me into checking out Joe Chen other works. But I don't think I will rewatch it because it's too long and I don't have time for it. Maybe someday I will.

Disclaimer: I watched this for Wallace Huo and ALMOST dropped it regardless.

This drama made me so upset in parts I was in actual emotional agony. Part of it has to do with the script writers taking such a sadistic approach to Joe Chen's character, who was the far more compelling twin but was used as a sacrificial lamb throughout most of the story.

As much as I love Wallace Huo, Deric Wan's character had a much *much* more compelling arc as well. I mean, Wallace is insanely good looking so if you just wanna stare at him in his idol days for 40 episodes, it's well worth the price of admission, but never use "death and the maiden" as a trope in a story where it's competing for screen time against the lead couple. As an archetype, death and the maiden will always be far more interesting.

Fair warning, there is also instalove in this story, one of my least favorite tropes, with the additional theme of "fate" prevalent in everything, in a sort of mystical way that felt more depressing than optimistic.

I'm also not a big fan of the "poor little rich girl" trope, and ofc we get oodles of that here, complete with a rich twin who is always perfect in every way. Overall, I couldn't in good conscience recommend a drama with so many tropes that get subverted in almost perverse ways and with so many absurd twists and plot holes big enough to drive a trailer truck through them.

Dated but classic with a nice dose of whump

I watched this when young during the summer I think, and one thing that took time to sink in was that the two sisters were supposed to look "exactly alike" after they switched identities. They were not (even personality wise), lol, so you need some suspension of disbelief to run with it.

I really liked Penny Lin in this series and Joe Chen's character admittedly annoyed me with how immature she was at times, but in the end she does have character growth which made up for her faults. Also the sudden plot twist with Penny's character getting sick (I forgot what it was but it caused her pain) was definitely there to amp up the drama, but it made for super pretty angst especially in the last episode when everyone thought the villainess girl had prompted her to leave the hospital and off herself when she was literally just out for a walk LOL

Joe Chen's character falling for the eventual villain was a twist but also dramatic when he ended up offing himself instead. I remember at the time I was so annoyed with Joe's character that all I felt was "finally!! you can feel a bit of the pain you inflicted on your sister by doubting/suspecting/hurting her too!" so that was a cathartic scene LOL

Overall, being an eldest child Penny's character gave me eldest daughter syndrome sympathy and I am so so glad she got her happy ending. Also the ensemble cast of friends was also fun and fashionable and comedic, they didn't take up a lot of the screentime or plot but they had their mini arcs and worlds in the background which enriched the world. Overall a fun read!

And I was so surprised when they played an English song (Lene Marlin's Disguise) for the closing credits but it quickly became one of my favs, I was using it as the BGM for my blog once upon a time. XD
