Fun watch

Rated down strictly because this show was entirely too long, with too much extraneous stuff. Aside from that, this was a wonderful drama. The two main characters in this were lovely. I loved their relationship. His dialogue with her after he finds out that she's a robot? He was absolutely wonderful and my heart broke for both of them. His friendship with the team was fun to watch, they were all misfits in their own way, yet they found friendship with each other. The ending was cute, though somewhat rushed. Definitely a good show to watch, though. Great chemistry between the two main characters, no "fish face, open eyes kisses".

The cutest cuties

This were my second drama I watched with 유승호 오빠 as a ML. I rewatched this many times.
Story: Really interesting plot. A psychological disorder refering inability to touch a human' body because of trauma. He trusts robots. But develops feelings for "robot" FL. This is the plot twist I like haha.
Acting /Cast: I adore all members of "I'm not a robot" cast. SeungHo acts very well. Noone's acting nor character annoyed me.
Music: For me OST is the most crucial thing because it can take us bad to the thrills, story of drama. Light songs. I love it. I have noticed that Stella Jang sang also in MY STRANGE WAY HERO OST.
Rewatch value: not too many not too little. Just
Overall. Chemistry between FLl and ML is thr cutest.

Easy to watch but I was bored

Acting was good, story didn't really speak to me. Plot was interesting at first, but got kinda boring at some point so I skipped a lot. When I like a drama I'm usually very emotionally invested in it and that's how I know it's really good. There honestly isn't much to say, ost was good. Romance scenes didn't make my heart flutter as much as they usually do, so maybe there wasn't enough connection with the actors or the romance scenes just weren't that well written.

Many said this to be easy to watch and that it sure was, episodes weren't too long but like I said earlier I was bored when watching.

I've stayed really far from this drama for a really long time. The story, the cast and the cover in itself they weren't convincing me from watching it because I've thought that was the same rom-com drama were from a bunch of accidents start a love story, but I was extremely wrong.
I love it since the first episode!
I loved the cast, the story, EVERYTHING!!!
The story starts in a funny way, but from episode 20 till the end becomes really deep, touching and super sad in many parts which make this drama, the perfect Kdrama!!

This drama is an unexpected, wholesome gem and deserves all the love it receives. I'm not good with words, but this drama left me with so many positive feelings that I felt compelled to try writing a review--I hope that these words, alongside the other great reviews, may help convince someone to give this a try.

Since many have emphasized what a pleasant surprise this drama was, I'd like to reach out to those who are still skeptical. This is for the reviewers who have faced disappointment in even the most popular romcoms, or even their favorite ones, because I am the same. I'm here to tell you that you can let go of your doubts.

I recently began watching dramas again a month ago and kept seeing this title pop up on the front page, but I'd skip on it. The saccharine-sweetness, the cliches, the lackluster humor or the abundance of plot-related letdowns that I had experienced so many times over--no, I had sworn to myself I would not fall for that again. ...And I didn't.

After watching through the first episodes of other dramas and giving my complete attention to them, hoping that one would keep me going, my will started dwindling. I decided to give I'm Not A Robot a shot. Once in a while you'll find a diamond in the rough. This is that diamond.

WHAT TO EXPECT
It's one of the most well-balanced romcoms I've ever watched, which is an odd way to describe one, but you know what I mean--there's a pattern in dramas you find after watching a couple dozen dramas, that leaves you with less hope and lower standards when you're picking out your next watch. Maybe the 15th episode or 16th episode contradicts the past 14 episodes--14 hours!--you've invested into it. Perhaps some of the unaddressed conflicts leaves you feeling irritated. Perhaps your interest begins dwindling after the leads get together, which is something that you can't help of course. Perhaps you've grown to love the secondary characters, and feel a tinge of regret because they don't receive enough screentime. Or perhaps you're tired of the melodrama consuming the entirety of the episodes.

You will not find these issues in I'm Not A Robot. Yes, I was amazed and beyond impressed! How could such a little-known drama, with such a seemingly basic premise, do so much right, when my other beloved dramas haven't been able to do it?

In this drama, you'll find an oddly impressive chemistry between the leads. You'll find a phenomenal delivery of acting and emotions by our leads, supported by a strong secondary cast. You'll grow a fondness for that extended cast of characters. You'll find yourself not feeling concerned about the questionable plot because everything around it works in symbiosis to make you feel comfortable. You won't find a beyond-the-top makeover scene that's supposed to impress you, because this drama is so good that it doesn't rely on it or the other common, tacky romcom plot devices. You won't find an edgy, over-the-top, poignant statement so obscure that everyone will point it out and dissect it. This drama is straight and direct, genuinely warm and cozy, and pulls no punches to play with the logic you've grown used to in dramaland.

Most importantly, you won't feel a tinge of regret or sadness after completing 32/32 episodes--you'll just want to watch it again.

I am not yet done watching the drama, but I am already wondering as early as now as to why this didn't get enough attention in Korea. The drama is actually one of the best I have watched this year. I actually enjoyed this drama and its structure is really similar to Strong Woman:

1.) Very unusual plot (Except the plot here is a lot better and unique as compared to Strong Woman)
2.) Solid cast chemistry
3.) Laugh-generating show
4.) No real plot twist (So the rewatch value does not suffer)
5.) Feel-Good-Turned-Tear-Jerking-RomCom

Strong Woman gained so much attention and love from both Korea and internationally, so I was wondering why this show wasn't well received in Korea (cause it is adored by many internationally). I honestly thought that Yo Seung ho - Chae Soo Bin would look bad, and never had I been more wrong. Their chemistry was so good that I actually want them to date in real life now.

A lot could have been still improved in this drama, mainly the OST and the plot. But overall, it's a show that has been greatly underappreciated by many

Apologies in advance - I’m still getting my bearings on this reviews thing especially since I love this drama so much!
Most people who have seen me in the comments section will know that I have no expectation of dramas when I choose what I want to watch and that I also don’t compare. I have compared only once before but looks like I’m gonna have to do it again. :D

First of all, I haven’t been able to complete a k-drama since Strong Woman and Go Back Couple which I watched whilst they were both airing. If you watched them whilst they were airing you’d know how long ago that is now.  My reason for watching this drama was simply because it was about robots (kinda) and that in the teaser they said it’s a romantic comedy.

I’m not gonna lie, in the first few minutes of the drama I noticed the female lead was also the lead in Strongest Deliveryman which I only watched as far as episode one so I was a bit like “oh no, not her. I hope she’s not horrible for no reason in this one too”. I had the idea in my head that she was gonna be exactly the same as her SD character so I continued watching just for the sake of completing the first episode. I will admit that I wasn’t in the best mood the first time I watched it so I didn’t pay too much attention to everything else that was happening. So the next day I gave it another go and I fell in love!

This drama is for anyone who loves cute and fluffy dramas similar to Strong Woman and Shopping King Louis. I was crying, laughing, smiling and even felt anger and guilt throughout the entire drama. I think this is the second drama I’ve watched that has strong messages about family, friendship and love.

The bad bits:
? There were little tiny itsy bitsy questions that I had by the end of the drama but I didn’t think we’d would actually get any answers for but hey that’s drama for you
? It made me cry 30 out of 32 episodes but I’m pretty much an emotional person. Have your tissues (or in my case sleeve) ready!
? Instead of SLS I had a bit of a soft spot for the actor Kim Min Kyu- he’s so adorable in this drama

The good bits:
? It’s super cute and fluffy and leaves you wanting more.
? In my opinion the speed of the storyline was just right, it didn’t feel like it was dragging or rushed. In all honesty I wish it was like a UK soap which never finishes unless the network cancels it.
? The ending for me, in a word was absolutely perfect. It didn’t end in the usual wedding and baby cliche which is where I thought it was gonna go but I’m happy that it didn’t.
? The OST - MY GOODNESS ME!!!! I could listen to the whole thing on a loop all day long - which I have!
? The cast I believe worked extremely well. You could feel their love and affection for one another. They really made me wanna watch more so I’m glad I gave it another go otherwise I would’ve missed out on such a fantastic drama.

Rewatching value for me is 100/10, I will never get bored of rewatching.

Well done to everyone in and behind the drama. I look forward to seeing more of their work, even if it’s not together. :D
Well done to everyone who hung in there with the weekly Tortures of Cliffhangers. It hasn’t quite sunk in yet that it’s over because I’ve not felt sad but I’m sure after a few days it will hit me like a ton of bricks. XD

IT TOUCHED MY HEART IN A WAY THAT NO ONE COULD HAVE IMAGINED

I should say,"I am not a robot" is my favorite drama series ever i watched.I love it,it makes me so happy & i addict on it.this drama is amazing it makes me laugh and cry at the same time.Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin have done extremely well throughout the entire series.what I love about Yoo Seung Ho,when he's acting he's not Yoo Seung Ho,he's the character he's portraying. You'll laugh with him, you'll cry with him, you'll feel what he's feeling. He nailed the reset scene.Watch this series and you'll know what I mean.Chae soo bin is such a perfect actress.she stolen my heart.what I love about her,she is so cute and sensitive.I love her role as "Aji 3"I'm seriously telling this, her acting is the main reason to highlight the whole drama.I'm still watching this drama series for 1st time.I can't express my feelings for "I am not a robot" properly, you might feel I've done it in this review, but it's not enough for me.That's why I highly rated(10.0)❤️ this show.

Yo Seung Ho acting here is absolutely incredible: he is capable to transform a superficial story to a real human tragedy. And somehow, although, the story seems an absurd, you can feel every main character's emotional impulse. It's really something when a guy who has to play a rich man with an unique allergy to the people and an affection to a robot girl, makes you feel it as a real thing. Only because of his acting it was worth to watch it and even to rewatch it. So, the story is more than ridiculous but the Yo Seung Ho's acting lifts it to a much higher level, even to an existential drama. But what can I say about the drama itself? Well, it's aesthetically beautiful and emotionally pleasant but other details are really superficial. However, the acting... ;D

Silly But Fun

This drama was my first time seeing Yoo Seung Ho and Chae Soo Bin in any drama so I had nothing to gauge their performances against, but I really loved both of them.

The premise is wild but it's unique and fun, albeit a little creepy. lol Getting to see her go from very robotic "robot" to realistic "robot" was really fun. The situations she got herself into were very sitcom-like but they pulled them off well.

I also really liked seeing the progression of Kim Min Kyu (Yoo Seung Ho) from anal, uptight, weirdo introvert to a more relaxed version of himself that can entertain guests without absolutely losing it.

The romance is cute too. It's sort of a unique twist on the enemies to lovers trope that we see so often, but it really works well.

Took me a while to actually start watching this drama, but it had a nice setting and Seungho and Soobin were cute so I might as well. At first, I had to admit that the initial plot of having Minkyu have an allergy to human contact was a bit farfetched. But then I ended up looking up the internet for the possibility of allergies to have connection with mental illness, and surprisingly, there were some studies that imply the likelihood for something like that to happen!

Because of that, I had a renewed interest in this drama. Since it is an interesting scenario where someone could have developed such illness due to some extreme conditions and how one could try to heal someone from it. In that sense, it was actually logical to think that having an android that looked like a real person could help someone who could easily die from a simple touch. It's also an interesting scenario on how AI and robotics could be use to help people in need of help.

I really love Yoo Seungho in this drama. It really felt like he's a perfect fit to play Minkyu and it's hard to imagine someone else who could do this better. And Seungho was really good at playing socially awkward characters to the point of fondness. You just can't help being drawn to his character and sympathising at the kind of lonely life he had endured. And I like how his progress in getting better was written in a way that it was believable and wasn't sudden. I also love how it was depicted like a modern fairy tale on how love helps in healing an illness that was influenced by the mind.

Chae Soobin was really great in this drama, playing the human Ji-A, alongside the android Aji-3. Like you can really tell the difference when she was playing a person and when she's playing a robot. Uhm Kijoon was great as the scientist who created Aji-3, Dr Hong. Since he tend to end up playing villain roles a lot more times than he plays good characters, I really appreciate him not being a villain in this drama lol.

Have to say that as much as the corporate plot was secondary compared to the main romance plot, the former didn't feel like pasted on as some irrelevant background setting. Both of the story plot was pretty balanced and enjoyable.

For those who love the science fiction theme on how robots and AI would want to learn more about humans, this drama was a fascinating watch. As much as the android Aji-3 didn't really do much in the drama, the android was still shown to still be able to learn through the input given by Ji-a, who pretended to be Aji-3. It was interesting to see how all of the accumulated data that Aji-3 then leads to it deciding by herself to choose to return to its rightful home instead of allowing itself to be taken by bad businessman who seek to use her technology for military purposes.

Loved

First review here. The love story here is extraordinary. People keep referring to it as fluffy and cute. I think it is more very sweet at the beginning. I liked the ending too. Tied everything up nicely. The middle, I suppose, is fluffy -- if your definition of fluffy means tear your heart out of your chest, slam it against the wall, put it through a meat grinder and throw the pieces on the street for the wild dogs to eat. I had to fast forward to the ending to reassure myself that it would get less painful as I sobbed into my pillow. But man, it strung me along for a while.

The ML's conveying of a huge range of emotions is extraordinary. The actor is brilliant in this role. The FL plays a robot throughout a lot of the show, so has to remain emotionless. Her human versus robot emotions are beautifully done.

The rest of the cast did a great job. I'm not usually a fan of the silly comic relief characters, but they were cute and funny and I didn't want to fast forward through them like i do in other dramas.

Highly recommend it. Haven't seen any of the ML and FL's other works, but hope they both got roles worthy of their acting after this.
