The eyebrow gods have intervened!

The front end of this drama is pretty funny, lots of easy laughs and funny interactions. The back end makes you feel like a bit of an asshole for laughing at some of the things that happened in the first half. The latter probably 10 episodes have far less comedy and far more drama, which is pretty common I've noticed in K-Drama comedies. Sometimes they bring you back to high comedy at the end, this one kind of brings you back to this sort of fragile mild comedy, which sort of mirrors the kind of fragile new beginnings state of all the character's lives toward the end.

The script itself wasn't mind blowingly impressive, but it did the job well enough. The acting was pretty solid from most characters, though some of the side characters had pretty weak story arcs to work with. OMG the American/English speaking acting was horrible. Like ok....toward the end there's this one scene with this big sort of grey haired, stocky, Richard Branson looking bad guy and he opens the crate to see the robot isn't in it and he screams "WHAT THE HELL" and throws his body backward in shock....but his dead eyes stay 100% dead no expression or emotion....not like in a cool way but in sort of a "braindead but my body is moving" way. It was the hardest scene to watch and the MFers play that thing TWICE....so much cringe. The English speaking (non-Korean) actors were all pretty much like that. It ends up really highlighting how Koreans in dramas act with their eyes masterfully. Even the tiniest Korean part in a Kdrama has such huge emotion poured into it....but not in an over-acted sort of way, more like in a way that's multi-dimensional and feels relevant to real life.

The two lead actors are super cute and fun to watch together. The lead male actor impressively has his eyebrows under control in this drama. He seems to have extreme OMFG THERES A HAMSTER ON YOUR FACE level eyebrows in a lot of the dramas he's in. So it was nice to be able to focus more on his beautiful eyes and less on the bushy caterpillars dancing around his forehead. The lead female actress is super pretty and does well with emotions and comedy even though they've written her part like every boring K-drama female trope...she definitely did a lot with what they gave her to work with.

Overall, there's no reason to rewatch this drama, it was definitely worth an initial watch though. I skipped over it several times cause it sounded so boring, but it ended up being plenty entertaining and I never felt like "omg another 10 episodes to go".

It’s a show about a woman robot, chill…

So many people are looking into this drama way too much, as if it needed to be a reflection of the real world (in a literal way) and not about a high technology robot that looks and talks perfectly like a human…it’s sci-fi, you need to read the premise and start watching this knowing it’s fantasy and it’s from 2017 lol, chill.

Now my review…I overall enjoyed this show, of course it was nonsensical and at moments had super cringy scenes but somehow it fit right in. I really felt for the ML, he was isolated from the world for 15 years and he had to navigate how building relationships with people worked and it was hard, the memories he had of people were based around distrust and treason so he came off at rude and inconsiderate a lot of times, but liked how he at the end was able to accept that he could be loved and appreciated, and he could also love and appreciate others without being hurt.
Both the ML and FL are really good actors, when the heartbreak came they portrayed the emotions so well I cried…the love that she showed him, the patience and just understanding she had of his condition and feelings was beautiful, that really was such a beautiful portrayal of true love.

I wish the sort of political/company storyline was better delevoped at times it really gave nothing to the story and was quite slow. The characters around it felt lousy written, the ML’s first love just had a change of heart one day and we didn’t even see really how her relationship developed with the ML to come to that point, it was just annoying.

The last episodes were really a stretch, they could’ve showed more of their future together instead they showed really slow paced stories that didn’t add much. The last episode was really anticlimactic, like we see everyone getting ready for something (that we assume was like a party for his discharge) but they didn’t show anything, just the FL greeting him like she saw him a couple of hours ago and not like they didn’t see each other for 2 years. Wanted more yearning in that reencounter, their relationship was all about yearning each other when they got together after the reveal but then in this last encounter it lacked all of that.

Overall I liked it, it’s a fluffy heartfelt story and love their love, but wanted more in side characters development and in their future story together. Nevertheless, it’s worth the watch (if you can watch the last episodes at 2x speed lol)

it’s cute, but not great.

storyline is cute, but definitely not amazing. the concept is good though.
the ending was a bit rushed. glad they got together in the end.
the acting was good, stand out was the actor who played the robot. really embraced the character, and was pretty funny at times. the main male lead was average in my opinion.
won’t be a show I’d rewatch, though I’m sure some people loved it. was hard to get through at times.

I was reluctant to watch this drama at first because I knew from the story that it was bound to get complicated. It kind of felt like the film "Her" mixed with Kill Me, Heal Me, and Big Hero 6, but glad it was different. Nice to see decent character progression. This show had several hilarious scenes and ones that rip your heart out from the betrayal on both sides. I was really annoyed by the medical information, especially in the first few minutes... smh. There were also some just coincidental ridiculous scenes which I understand were supposed to be funny and put pressure on the characters, but I felt like they should have changed those to something a bit more believable or simply less gross. One final thing that always annoys me is Korean people speaking English, or English-speakers not talking normally/too slowly. I usually just skip those parts if I can help it, but they often ruin dramas for me. The only actor who executed this well was Kim Min-Kyu, and to be honest he was probably the actor I kept watching for throughout. Overall, I thought this show was pretty good from start to finish.

Usually I'm not into completely romantic dramas, where the only story and action sorrounds the two main leads and there's nothing else apart from this, but I have to confess that I liked this one. It's cutteness in action! There is a great chemistry between the main actors. I know a lot of you will wonder, who is going to believe that she is a robot? but ok, Kim Min Kyou had been alone all his life, so I really believe he was such in need of people that he could believe anything in the world.
Acting: they are amazing. Funny and sad scenes, you can feel them through the actors.
Music: I like the three or four songs. They were fine with the drama.
If you have some time to watch it, do it! it worths the time.

Although there are many little details that are not convincing regarding the story line, I am willing to overlook because the casting is perfect, the acting is very real and full of emotional connection. The production cleverly weaves in many hillarious moments even when tension is running high. Sad moments brought hopeful but happy tears. 20 episode drama is a great length to get lost in through a 2 day weekend.

I thought having music with words during conversation was a little distracting. Would prefer gentle romantic melodies instead.

Cringey in A Good Way

This is your typical cheesy-cringey romantic comedy show. There are a lot of hyperbolic emotions flowing everywhere. If you don't like something like that, you may be disgusted. I watched this show in 2025, and still I found out this show is, although nothing extraordinary, written excellently. The story is about a human-allergic man who is attracted to the affection from a robot, whom turns out to be replaced by a human. Yes the story itself is already seem predictable. It's also correct that every scene in the show is pictured with excessive emotions and unrealistic events. But you follow through the story, you will find that — even the story is super unrealistic — it's neatly written.

The story strongly focused on the main leads and their own romantic developments. People and problems around them are just additional ingredients and the portion for them is quite small compared to the main leads, and I really like it. I also like how their relationship problem is based on their own struggle and never the effect of stupid external threats. The relationship problem is dragging as expected, you can even expect it from the first episode. Turns out everything is not as bad as I've expected though. This show is an example how cliche plot such as childhood relationship or serial killers are not always the solution to drive a rom-com plot. Even I find the dragging part about the company director's rivalry (yes it's a rom-com, it's gotta be dragging!) not really dragging and still bearable (I often find out old K-Drama romcoms have extremely dragging external tropes). Bold message to everyone that any technolgy may never be able to replace the presence of a person.

The characters potrayal are excellent. Chae Soo Bin plays both characters excellently. Yes, she plays two characters: Jo Ji Ah and a robot named Aji3! I can't believe she looks like a doll there. Yoo Seung Ho does a great job for playing a mentally struggled and confused man. These two actors are able to pull something great to play such an unrealistic story. And thanks to the Santa Maria Team (and the thief family), we get an excellent amount of great comedy here. Unfortunately I don't find the other characters apart from them do a good job, this includes Ji Ah's brother, Min Gyu's mansion guard as well as the foreigners.

Apart from the good story, the problem in this show might be the vibe. The first phase of the show has a very bright and joyful vibes, but after the Aji3 testing phase ended, it becomes very emotional. It isn't bad at all, but I find that the comedy quality never bounces back to the earlier state. Additionally, the pace of the show post-testing also becomes slow. Also the blue umbrella at the backseat of the car seems confusing, because who put it there at first?

I also like the soundtrack. Overall if you are looking for a joyful rom-com, this is a good choice. The story is very fluffy and lightweight and maybe a good option to end your exhausting day because Aji3 will keep telling you: You are doing good!

I'm not a robot

First of all I do not know if some things will count as a spoiler. Second it is probably first time when I will mention a lot of cast in review, so let's go:
Yoo Seung Ho - he was the reason why I chose this drama cause I really liked him in My strange hero, he has such a cute smile (that make me want to see him act with Park Bo Young), he played really good, his sad, puppy eyes, also chemistry was cute
Chae Soo Bin - it turned out I already watch something with her (Sweet&Sour), she was much more memorable here, she played really cute and adorable character, chemistry was good, even with her character's ex
Uhm Ki Joon - I did not expect that I would like his character, in the end his story and romance with Pi were one of my favourite plots
Park Se Wan - she played really fun character, I already watched her in So not worth it and as far as I liked her there, here she literally stole the show, also when she straighten her hair she reminded me of Jo Bo Ah in My strange hero and now I need her as main lead with Yoo Seung Ho
Lee Min Ji, Seo Dong Won and Go Geon Han - were so easy to like, also Go Geon Han's english was so nice
Kang Ki Young - It is always nice to see some actor in drama when you do not expect him, I am so happy that in the end he turned out as a good person, also chemistry Hwang Seung Eon was so good - she played really nice character - need them as main leads
Also nice to see Choi Dong Goo after The judge from hell - his character was a little like mischievous puppy.
If you survive praising the cast then I move on to the plot - it was something new and at the same time nothing original, but was so easy to watch, I do not even know how fast I moved through it. It is worth watching, especially when you want to watch something light.

Yes! This one had a ML and FL who were a good match and who were equals in intelligence, aptitude and personality! Granted, FL (AG-3/Ji Ah), who has an empathetic and kind nature but is spunky, had to deal with some psychological oddities of Kim Min Kyu at the beginning, and she, of course, duped him as a robot for quite a while but this was simply adorable!!!! So many laugh out loud moments! When he opened the box to see AG-3 and she jumped back and yelled—that was so funny! Couldn’t believe how I loved this and had to rewatch the last 4 episodes just because I was so happy they were together.

What an enjoyable drama. Of course, most events are unrealistic but taking it for granted, everything is fine. A fantasy drama with a lot of funny scenes, especially in the first part of the drama!

It starts off really good, the plot is great from this point of view, the only problem for me is that in the last episodes it gets a bit dragging.

The acting was really good, it's one of the few dramas where I really like the cast and the characters don't annoy me!

The music was really cute, well suited for the scenes.

I would rewatch it, especially the first episodes! Too funny!

A VERY REFRESHING DRAMA....

ITS LIKE A JOURNEY WITH MANY UPS AND DOWNS WITH A TOUCH OF CUTENESS AND MADNESS..
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND IT TO EVERY KDRAMA WATCHER AND ESPECIALLY TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO LIKE ROMANTIC COMEDIES...
THE STORY IS BASICALLY THAT HOW A MAN FINDS LOVE IN A ROBOT DUE TO HIS RARE HUMAN ALLERGY...
HAD A GREAT TIME WATCHING IT THE BEST PART WAS THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN KIM MIN KYU AND JO JI A. BOTH THE ACTORS HAVE DONE A COMMENDABLE JOB. ESPECIALLY LOVED KIM MIN KYU'S (YOO SEUNG HOO) SMILE OH ITS UNBEARABLE JUST VERY CUTE.
THE DRAMA IS A BIT LONG BUT WORTH WATCHING....
