Absolutely amazing
i was hesitant to watch it, because i hadn't heard much about it. But it was charting high. and its charting for a reason, its like an onion, you get new information by every layer and find out that things are connected on a twisted way. if you like dark, supernatural tv shows, then this is it. its dark, it has romance, it has mystery, and it has screwed up stuff. This tv show is like a drug you cant get enough. And I cant wait to watch the last 5 episodes, and hopefully they wornt change my review as it is now.

Beautiful story of trauma and love
I will preface this review with my admission to my love of superheroes. But I never expected to love it so as to write a review. Let’s start with the obvious: the casting. The superb entourage of both senior and junior actors was fabulous. The cinematography also blew it out the park with a strong sense of color symbolism through the show. Best, the plot stayed true to the webtoon. The flow and the presentation of each aspect of this story was as chaotic as it was alluring, allowing myself to get lost in the world created by Kang Full. Was this review helpful to you?
2nd half: Drama
Ending: Happy
Recommendation: Watch it
This drama show really has it all. Comedy, Drama, Suspense, Horror, Action, etc - all jammed into a great show. The length and pacing was just right, not too long nor too short. It was such an amazing watch, seen it 3 times already. We see different children with super human abilities growing up to be normal and seeing their everyday lives with their parents whom also have abilities themselves while trying to blend in with society under the radar.

Awesome
MOVING is just as good as the most of the reviews say it is. It’s basically an entertaining thriller, and almost every episode ends in a cliff hanger. Each character is a complete individual--even the villains aren’t totally evil. Everyone’s more or less a victim of their particular circumstances. While certain characters have powers, their abilities often create as many problems as the solve. The story manages to be surprising in spite of the overworked theme. Unlike some other Korean and Chinese dramas, this one never once made me feel that the writers were making it up as they went along. The story was well-crafted, tightly woven, and believable within a fantasy framework.
The back story was parceled out a bit at a time, and sometimes the writers would circle back and fill in the details of a previous scene adding texture to the plot or more dialog to a previous conversation. The visual effects and ost during the final credits for each episode enhanced and deepened the atmosphere.
Because the plot, characterization, and logical development were so well-done, I have very few criticisms. I’ll just mention a couple. It bothered me that Mr. Electric, who went AWOL twice with disastrous effects to the company’s property, was allowed to keep his job as a bus driver. A few weeks before the school year ends, practically the entire school collapses in rubble and ruin, and yet during the graduation ceremony, a few weeks later, everything looks as good as new.
But I’m being a bit picky--it's really quite good.

Superpowers, family drama, and teenage angst—until it forgets what it wanted to be.
A Promising Superhero Drama That Gets Lost in Its Own Chaos✨ THE GOOD:
Strong family core – The emotional weight of three gifted teens and their parents hits right where it counts.
Unique take on powers – Not just flashy effects, but powers tied closely to trauma and identity.
Solid performances – Lee Je-hoon and the young cast bring believable intensity.
🤯 THE “WAIT, WHAT’S GOING ON?” MOMENTS:
Pacing rollercoaster – It races, then crawls, then runs in circles. Hard to keep up.
Plot overload – Too many villains, mysteries, and side plots—some never fully land.
Genre mix confusion – Sci-fi thriller? Family drama? Coming-of-age? Pick a lane, please.
💔 THE “FAMILY FIRST, BUT PLOT SECOND” FACTOR:
Heartfelt family moments keep you invested, even when the story goes sideways.
The siblings’ struggles feel authentic and grounded amid the chaos.
🎯 VERDICT:
"Like a superpowered family BBQ—lots of fire, some awkward conversations, and unexpected sparks."
Watch if: You want a fresh take on superheroes with emotional depth.
Skip if: You need tight storytelling and a clear direction.
Best paired with: 🍿 A comfy couch and patience for the ride.

Little Underwhelming
It is indeed a unique story, in the korean ent context ig. it is modeled after a lot of western superhero concept - its almost a copy paste - the only difference is the very strong and very *functional* family value systems. The same old "i have superpowers but people only see to use me as a tool for their own personal gain"As a common problem I see with western platformed /produced k-ent, this drama too was rather shallow and very underwhelming. The score was VERY good. Everyone in the cast was a known face - stalwarts, very good casting. However the plot was very lacking esp for the 20 ep length. I was just about to drop the series , but the story arc about the parents' past awakened my sleeping interest.
In brief
ep 1 to 9 intro
ep 10 to 15 flashback - peak
ep 16 to 20 current and climax
As you can notice the intro section was painfully long. The only interesting part was the middle. There werent any cliffhanger endings - which is good. But they did handle part 3 (and 1 ig) in such a manner to leave a very open space for season 2. Which is frustrating, it seems that is the cause for such a lacky and draggy plot. It makes this show too predictable and brain dead. Many characters who were introduced with a lot of attention just faded out without any use - again ig they kept space for a season x, or spin off y.
peak talent under utilization. i am quite underwhelmed.
yeah you can watch it...

Drama that makes one SHRIEK with excitement
Picture this- a family of 4 getting together every Wednesday night to watch the newest episodes of Moving. That's what my family did all the way till the final ep. Every ep made us excited for the next and it was just THAT GOOD. The series made us cry, laugh, smile and gasp throughout.Story: 10/10
AMAZINGLY TOLD. The screenwriter, Kang Full, is the same person who created the webtoon. He not only told the story authentically, followed his source material, but also revamped certain aspects and made the show so much more appealing. To have this much insight and direction of how to tell the story behind SO many characters is remarkable. A 20 ep drama covering a 45 chp webtoon was paced so well. Every ep had aspects to pull you to watch the next. This is a MUST WATCH for everyone.
Acting/Cast: 10/10
Just how did they cast the characters so well!! All the actors and actresses did such a terrific job. Ryu Seung Ryong made my entire family sob with his excellent performance- moved to absolute tears. Of course, everyone did exceptionally but I do have my favourites. Lee Jung Ha will be on my watchlist- he was adorable and such a likeable presence in the show.
Music: 10/10
The sound design and music matched all scenes very well. There were no instances where I felt they were forcing the audience to feel emotions with just music alone. The scenes and acting themselves were so well done that the music truly served to enhance and make everything so much better. Sound design was also great- fight scenes were all the more brutal and realistic with it!
Rewatch: 10/10
Going back, I can appreciate the amount of details added to the show. Everything was just so well thought out, that there are things only to be spotted when you go back to rewatch. The visuals of the show also make it worth to go back to.
Overall: 10/10
It might just be my favourite show of 2023. Recommended to all ages above 15. This season was complete and satisfying alone, but they did start a few more plot strings to get the audience hyped for Season 2. Hence, I still urge for anyone who hasn't watched to WATCH NOW.

Its not just special, Its the best kdrama I have watched
From start to end, Moving never fails to engage and excite you. Its a masterpiece and will be remembered for a long time.Lets talk in a bit of detail about the various aspects of the drama
Story :
The story is based on the webtoon of the same name. The drama is about 3 students who have special abilities, and their parents who are trying to protect them from being hunted. The story is set in the present time but has a lot of flashbacks. Its an interesting way to tell the story. It first sets up the present and then goes into flashbacks to explain why it is what it is. The story of each character is carefully carved out. You can connect to characters at a personal level because it's not just a story of their powers and good deeds but goes deep down into how they ended up there, and how they struggled. The were explored as characters without glorifying their abilities and depressing their flaws which makes them more acceptable, real and awesome.
I usually am not a fan of dramas with multiple main leads because I feel they end up prioritizing one over the other and are not able to flesh out any character perfectly. But in contrast to my opinion,I really liked the drama despite having so many leads. I feel all characters were given just the right amount of screen time. You can just not not like any character. They all are just soo awesome.
The romance was sooo on point. There was a mature romance shown between the parents and a cute romance between the kids. It's perfectly fitted according to their age groups and personalities. It was just so much fun to watch. I just love all the couples :D
Acting :
The actors did such an amazing job. Amazzing cast. Han Hyo Joo is sooo talented. One moment she looks like a mom who is tired but worried for her kid and one moment she is this fierce woman who is ready to take anyone down. Lee Jung Ha did an amazing job playing bongseok. He is just soooooo cute, innocent and adorable. Go Youn Jung nailed her role as Hee Soo. Even though Kim Do Hoon did not get as much screen time, his character was as impactful in the story as others. Zo In Sung and Ryu Seung Ryong were amazing too.
I love how the makeup was done very minimalistic to make them not look like glorified pretty actors but as normal people. They really took care of every small details.
Visuals :
Moving is a visual treat. All the superpower/action scenes of it felt so real. Such good quality production, great CGI/VFX
Some dialogues are so good they are just stuck with you forever. One of my favs is by Hee Soo, " You are not weird at all, just a bit special"
Also I loved the small references of what parents did, is the same as what the kids are doing.
I mean I don't have any complaints from the drama except that it was only 20 episodes. Now that it's finished what do I watch? It's so heartbreaking but all good things come to an end.
I can just go on praising the drama but let's leave some excitement and time for you to watch the drama. A good review must also come to an end :p
So in short, It is really a must-watch. One drama you can not afford to miss!
Irrespective of what genre you like, this drama literally provides everything from romance, comedy, action, thriller, mystery, supernatural young characters, and mature characters, it is a full package.

When Disney+ got something right
Despite my hatred towards Disney+ and corporate influences, they really nailed it with 'Moving.' This is how you create a captivating action/supernatural KDrama. I was hooked from episode 1 until the end.I appreciate how the writers didn't underestimate the audience's intelligence; they allowed us to guess, speculate, and get to know the characters at our own pace. I enjoyed piecing the puzzle together myself, and the ending was incredible.
I've been a fan of Han Hyo Joo since her 'Spring Waltz' and 'Dong Yi' days, and watching her again felt like revisiting my youth. The same goes for all the other stars from the 2000s. It warms my heart to see them again, especially Cha Tae Hyun—what a pleasant surprise. Go Youn Jung and Lee Jung Ha are so adorable. Please protect them!
Overall, 'Moving' deserves its spot as one of the best KDramas of 2023.

Amazing
I only started my Kdrama and Cdrama journey at the same time, when covid started and I had a lot of free time on my hands, so I might not have watched as much of the older "Must watch" shows that most of you have. Still, I have lurked here for more than 3 years and this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. This is quite a simple story really, reminiscent in some ways to the old "Heroes" show (at least season 1 when it was great). However, the casting, acting, directing and overall storytelling here was a total masterpiece. It's a more character driven piece rather than story driven, and from the students to the adults, all of them impressed me totally.
Loved them all and hope for a season 2!

To protect my kid, I'm ready to become a monster anytime.
🔸️Do you sometimes have that dream where your body is weightless and you can fly and jump effortlessly? And can you easily manage your movements there? The ability to fly is Kim Bong Seok's secret, and keeping your mind and body under control during puberty is no easy job, especially if there is cute and kind Hee Joo around. On the furtile soil of North and South Korea's confrontation and secret agencies, engenders and flourishes this inspiring enthralling drama about people with superpowers.
🔸️Althouth the North Korean agents are, as usual, murderous terrorists, they have backstories too. Some of them were regular people before the dictatorship grabbed them in its claws. E.g. the North flying agent merely wanted to earn enough money in the special forces to put food on his family's table, while some North Koreans were threatened to use their powers to "serve the great republic", and "The Big Clap" guy Lim Jae Seok was nurtured into the borderline animal state in a North concentration camp for 20 years. The tall tough North Korean guy breaking down in front of Hee Joo was a beautiful scene too. My only complaint: the captain of the North team suddenly becoming sentimental and sacrificial is too sweet of a tale.
Another great thing about the story, South Korean special forces aren't angels either. They may have climbed up to a high spacious sunshine-lit glass building on the mountain, but they still stayed the way they were founded during the military rule of president Park Jeong Hee "and Co". "We work in the dark to serve the light" - but at what cost? Army and special forces naturally attract more agressive individuals, and that's the fact. The only young person in the drama who came to work for the intelligence agency is Kang Hoon who wanted his dad's criminal records erased in exchange.
You can easily see the writer Kang Full's attitude towards the big government structures and political rivalries between countries: all the "glory" comes at the expense of regular people whose talents and lives are used to destroy, not create.
Most of the episodes are the stories of the parents, and I'd rather like the drama to be more present. Because I can hardly believe two untrained highschoolers can suddenly take out a veteran merciless North Korean agent.
🔸️Moving doesn't create some unearthly different world for superpowers but allows them to exist, gently wraps the non-scented Korean city around them creating a very unique authentic feeling. The cinematography leaves enough space for the light to come through to shape the voluminous world. The numerous stunts and graphics are great (over 7000 CGI shots). No wonder it took 2 years and the record-breaking budget to make.
