Fellow Im Jinjoo Kinnies Where We At????

UGH THIS SHOW !!!! MY ABSOLUTE BELOVED !!! I feel like a lot of kdrama comedies who try that 'quirky' 'goofy' style come across as really stale or 'try hard' but this show just exudes natural charm. Literally EVERYONE in this show is INSANE and off the walls weird and I love them for it. It never comes across as forced, like all these characters are just so REAL. The writing just feels so fresh and natural and ugh I love slice of life done right. There's just a breezy feel to watching this drama, the dialogue is sharp, the characters are full of depth, the chemistry between the characters are so fun, and the show is full of bright colors and its very easy to watch. Yeah, the first ep is a bit depressing as it goes into the backstories and motivations of our three leads, but it's incredible how invested I became in these characters and their friendship. I love this silly found family so much they're so <33 Hanjoo, Jinjoo, and Eunjung play off of each other and balance each other so well its not even funny. I especially how Hanjoo and Eunjung and how they work as foils to each other. Hanjoo being the one who, on the outside, seems the weakest and most vulnerable but is full of perseverance like idk how she does it, and Eunjung being the first to want to kill anyone who hurts Hanjoo but who's also bottling all of her issues up and ignoring them like I love the contrast in their characters and how well they work together as besties.

And then there's Im Jinjoo.

Where do you even start with Jinjoo? She's the PERFECT protagonist for this show. I would say personally I think Eunjung and Hanjoo are the most likable of the three leads, and I think that's why Jinjoo works as the protagonist. She's messy, self centered, and just all over the place. She's incredibly stubborn but also fiercely loyal and I do love her for it. She's a hopeless romantic who lives for the drama and can't stand being rejected by someone she dumped a gazillion times but kept coming back to even though she hated him. She's a complete mess of contradictions and she's always trying to rationalize her insane behavior and it's insane how relatable she is. I love getting inside her head and her thoughts about the world cause I just find her so incredibly relatable ugh I love her <33 She's also so annoying I love how annoyed she gets by Beomsoo and decides to clown him through the song he hates and literally mocks he past love through out of key singing in the middle of a public building. I LOVE HER. But I'm with her Beomsoo was an arrogant prick and he and Jinjoo were literally made for each other. They're like the same person and they're so the kind of people who just need to be arguing constantly for no reason and they can so provide that for each other. I love how awkward their loveline was and just how incredibly stupid and cynical they are i love them <3

As other characters go, I loved the rest of the supporting cast, like Somin my BELOVED ! I love her shes so fun as the ditzy actress type and her and Eunjung had such a fun dynamic. Minjoon was a fun love interest for Somin and obviously I can't go with out shouting out Son Seokkoo <3 His weirdo director character was just so ??? Like that guy was actually mentally insane I'm obsessed with him and I love him and Eunjung's dynamic so much they weirdly worked together. I am so glad they kept them platonic though <3

And UGHHH ohh the plots in this show <33 They're just so heartfelt and it's so easy to root for the characters. Like you want to see Eunjung finally tell everyone about what she's going though and stop bottling up all her pain and ohh her backstory broke my heart
There is really nothing like this show like the slice of life vibes have never been this FUN <33 I really just love love this show and all its characters ugh <33

I did not become bored

I laughed a bunch but also cried with this story in various moments. The development of the story was very realistic, and I related to the story very strongly because I’m in my thirties and have the same sentiments around career development, relationships with parents, siblings, friendships and romances. I’m saving the OST to my playlist. The songs were lively. The casting was on point and I enjoyed getting to see each of them. Now I’m wondering why I haven’t seen this drama earlier. Give it a watch!

Well done. The drama cleverly skewered a number of overused drama tropes. I enjoyed the story arc of each one of the roommates, partcularly that of Lee Eun Jung's, which was moving and poignant. I also loved the Hwan Han Joo character, who is much tougher than you'd think and who has some of the funniest moments. I applaud the drama for casting Ahn Jae Hong as a sought after male lead, even though he doesn't fit the tall, willowly, jawline-that-could-cut-glass stereotype of the usual Korean male lead. Shouldn't all of us choose someone smart and funny like him over Mr. Handsome Arrogant and Smug Chaebol? But this opinion apparently is in the minority in drama-watching land.

Sometimes the humor could be a little slapstick, especially when it involved Im Jin Joo but other parts were laugh out loud funny.

One of the OST titles is Consolation. It tells a feeling of having someone we know will always be there in every difficult situation that we've been. That's pretty much what I feel throughout the drama. Not only this drama reminds me of those who console me, but those who need me the most to console them.

Sometimes, unlike what they say, people don't change. When facing the same problem over and over again, it's hard for one to deal with that issue of theirs. However, if only they have others to walk with them and hold on, they can pass through that problem safely and sound and they can continue their life. Because to move on, you need energy, you need courage, and more than a friendly attitude, you need sincere friends.

This drama gives me a big burden in the beginning. As I watched more episodes, I thought there were fewer problems. Now I know I was wrong. The problems kept on coming to the characters. They never get used to it. But they will to walk through it and move on.

This drama is very meaningful to me. Every time I cry when I watched this, I feel both bad and good feelings. The weird part is that...the gut that I had was consoling me.

-

Now go to the real review of the drama production. Gosh, so good! The cinematography fits the concept. It looks pretty yet resembling the tone of our everyday life. The OSTs are all so touching. The plot is enjoyable, although I find that the plot is not really mattered when it comes to this drama. The character itself is very charming already, you would want to watch this because of the characters. They don't fall into the mainstream stigma of each character. Instead, they bring the characters to come to life by giving them the most natural attributes I've ever seen in Korean Drama. Not to mention, the casts play these characters so well.

In conclusion, this drama taught me lots of thing and it does warm my heart.

Perfect Meta Drama

I did not realize how much I should have enjoyed this drama - until it told me. I was watching in mild confusion thinking "what's the story here?". then I'm one area the screenwriter character explains her concept to someone. "most dramas rely on plot to keep viewers coming back for the next episode. I want them to be so interested in the characters, they want to come back just to see more of them". click! it suddenly made sense. as well as being entertained, I am extremely impressed with this drama. it is simply smarter than most.

Large Cast of Characters

There are so many characters in this show and that could either be positive or negative. The Reply series did it well but here, for me, there were so many characters that I didn't care about, like the side characters of the Senior Writer or even the two main leads. With that being said, this isn't that much of a character-driven drama, but those characters who did have personal growth turned out to be my favorites (Eunjung, Somin).

There's sort of a drop-off with the plot as well and some lost opportunities for exploring but this show packs its punches in many of the right places, especially in the beginning where everyone is being introduced.

Perfect.

I've watched this series three times and have always been fully invested in the story. It always feels like I'm starting it afresh and I always learn something new.
It has just the right mixture of comedy and reality. At times I wondered if the writer had put in their own story into this drama. The product placement was often hilarious and clever.

Story: The three women make a fantastic trio. The story often goes in a direction which I don't expect. Usually, that would disappoint me, but it felt just right in this series.
For example, despite rooting for Jae Hoon and Han Joo, I wasn't saddened by the fact that they didn't end up together.
I especially liked how each character had a personality with depth. In Jin Joo and Hwan Dong's relationship, they showed the flaws of both sides while not making anyone seem like a villain. The same goes for Jae Hoon and his girlfriend. In Jae Hoon's relationship, although his girlfriend was fully painted as the wrong one throughout the story, the last episode made the viewers as well as Jae Hoon realize that a relationship has two people.
The story wrapped up in a wonderful way without seeming awkward or rushed.

Cast: Each actor completely suited their character. I loved how they added easter eggs, e.g Ahn Jae Hong in reply 1988.

Music: Wonderful. It suited the vibe of the series perfectly.

Rewatch value: I've rewatched this three times, so take of that as you will. It isn't fully packed with action or any big plot twists so I always find myself forgetting parts of this story and then being surprised when something happens in this series.

Overall: Might not be for everyone, but I loved it. The humor wasn't obnoxious or overbearing so I would definitely recommend this to people who like realistic yet fun stories.

that ennoying endding...

I really loved the story. it was from what I understood a slice of life into 30 yo people's experience. I loved every characters of this 30's years old group. all with their background and their story, all with their specific personality, so diverse and so lively! the problem is, as the story goes, it is more and more about one person's story only (and not the more interesting one in my opinion). the last 2 episodes were the worse because we get to follow everything about this person, her personal life and her work, from morning to night! and it's like we are supposed to understand how interesting she is when I actually think she is not. in my opinion, they should have stopped this drama on episode 14. the last 2 were just straining.
it's a very good show though, it would be even better to watch it with friends because talking about the variety of questions asked can lead to know someone better.

This drama is GOLDEN

This show is golden I'm telling you because it depicts the real life situations of three women and the people they met in life. What I liked the most from the start about this show is that they are not rich bitches (like they show in Search : WWW) because that's something many of us can't relate to. It's a story of three women in the entertainment industry, who are struggling with life but doing and trying their best to make a decent living and it's so nice to see it like that. These are the types of women I'm inspired from and I know most of us are too. This show was hilarious in unexpected ways and the humour was not forced; it was perfect (with the timing, the situation and the acting)
I highly recommend this drama to everyone who wants to have a good time :)

Totally wonderful

I just thoroughly enjoyed this series and felt sad when it ended. Isn’t this about most people’s lives? So very funny, heartwarming, and at times sad. All the actors were just great, there isn’t an actor here that you can’t connect with through having the same experiences in your own life.

To me, the ones that really shined were Ahn Jae Hong (The director) and Son Keok Koo (the cursing director). This is a definite re-watch for me.

I thank whomever it was that posted on the main feed in conversations about Jeon Yeo Been, that she did a fantastic job as one of the FL in this drama. I might have missed this otherwise.

Felt this

This isn't you're typical sitcom. This isn't something light nor heavy, it has comedy but it also makes us feel emotional throughout the story, the attachment between real life and the story is strong. I think those whose in their 30s would relate to this very much.

Although I'm not in my 30s I felt that the story somehow pulled me to watch. For me, It's definitely not boring but rather something worth watching. The story revolves around the pieces in one picture. Difficulties will be shown but overcoming the situation would be in there too. It has the laughs, tears, giggles, smiles, and morals that make it a whole picture with important pieces made in it. The actors and actresses slayed to deliver the story. Overall, it's definitely worth applause too.

Underrated heavily, deserves so much more attention and viewers!

Firstly lets start with how long I have had this on my collection and never got around to actually open the first episode and begin it. Unfortunately perhaps the reason might have been people not really talking about it in recommendation discussions or videos.

In simple terms, this is heavily 'underrated', this deserves so much more viewers than it currently has. I personally rated it 9/10 and not 10/10 just because, after a long time I might not come around watching it more than once or twice. I like to give 10/10 for dramas which I wouldn't mind watching again at any time.

What a brilliantly written story, what a brilliantly directed drama. Superb work by the whole team and the character themselves are so unique and shows different personalities and different developments from one another.

A positive drama, with not a single bit of negativity, this is a must watch, lets just say its a 'hidden gem' in my book!
