Fan Xian is quickly summoned by the head of the 6th division to help protect Chen Ping Ping. While trying to escape, Fan Xian catches sight of a prisoner, Xiao En, who fought with Chen Ping Ping and caused him to lose the use of his legs. Protecting Chen Ping Ping was a ruse to root out the Inspection and Control Bureau spies and test Fan Xian’s loyalty. He is designated as the next Head when Chen Ping ping steps down. The negotiations with Northern Qi asks for Xiao En in exchange for Yan Bin Yun.

Joy of Life Episode 25 Reactions
The funniest thing about this episode was the negotiation, that excited head was telling Fan Xian to mind his words before but then we saw the negotiations 🤣, he was spouting everything that came into his mind, and even throwing papers in the air, and bickering🤣. Back to it, The Eldest Princess confessed Assassination was her doing, and Fan Xian plans to bring her down from her high seat abd kicking her out of the Capital, cause she loves power more than her life. While many officers (under Yan Ruohai's order) in the Investigation Bureau wanted to kill Chen Pingping, however Director Shadow told FX, then Shadow, FX, Wang Qinian all were together in the Dungeon and FX stepped forward to protect Si Lili too. But then realisation hits, and CPP said that Shadow was testing FX (when he told FX that we can just kill CPP and save our lives, but he refused), then weird thing happened, during the negotiation, a secret report came from Beiqi, that Yan Ruohai's son has been Captured by Beiqi and they want to exchange his life for Si Lili's and another strong fellow locked up in Dungeon. I'm curious to see him. While the Emperor orders for Yan Ruohai's son's safe return and giving Si Lili and that strong guy in exchange. I can't seem to understand Yan Ruohai, one second he's black another second he's white.

I'm calling it here. Cheng Pingping is the spy. The spy got leaked right when Cheng Pingping arrived? idk seems sus to me. If this is true, then the writing is lowkey genius bc rn Yan Ruohai seems like the baddie when the one below it all might be the director, but it's all abt perspective. Cheng Pingping is also the one trying to get on the ml's good side so that he has his support.
