It’s a short film. it’s about a blind guy, Po Xiao (Played by Ding Cheng Xin) who has a cultivation manual (the heart sutra) tattooed on his body which make people are trying to capture him. So the other guy, Feng Ren (played by He Chang Xi), he's trying to protect Po Xiao.
So, the whole plot is basically the two of them running away and then some heartbreaking stuff happens, and then more heartbreaking stuff happens, but they get a happy ending at the end.
This movie is actually the second time these two actors acted together, which is great because their chemistry is freaking lit. And the director for this movie is Guo Jingming, who also the director of the Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity, L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties and Painted Skin: The Guo Jingming Edition as well.

However, The Untamed takes place in ancient China, which is totally different from The Spirealm, but it still has some similarities between them. The whole story is pretty comlicated if you ask me in both of the series. You'll have to really pay attention, if you miss something, you can get lost easily. There are lots of good side characters, which is not really common, they're very likeable and greatly played out. But, if i'm gonna talk about acting, The Untamed made me laugh by the worst acting i've ever seen. The acting doesn't include main characters, they were extraordinary. I'm gonna talk about side side characters. They weren't almost seen, maybe that's why it was so bad. Just look at some fighting scenes, you can see clearly what i'm talking about. I think they forgot that we can see them, i don't know.
The Untamed is lacking some good CGI effects, it's something that i hated when i fisrt watched it. But don't be mistaken, the show is really good overall, but this is something that stands out a lot. There's no way we can change it, let's just recognize the fact and move on.
I feel that if you liked one of these, you'll like the other. It has the same vibe and energy, terrifying and tension moments, sad and torturing scenes, but also some nostalgic and pleasant moments that makes you feel odly satisfying. Also, both of them are a threat to Chinese censorship, which led to some unexpected actions. So, if you like scandals, this two shows will make you cry because of it. I hope you'll enjoy it. The bromance in Soul Snatcher is just as strong as the one in The Untamed. Give Soul Snatcher a try, it is a feel good movie that will relax you and leave you feeling light.
Warning : Soul Snatcher is not a BL, only a bromance. So if you are looking for a title that only has a BL relationship at it's center then Soul Snatcher may not be for you.
