I watched many c drama and still continue to watching but I only recommend both of these series because they are outstanding /Fabulous the whole story plot including the whole casting every character make your attention each and every scene create curiosity what will next happen there is no comparison between the two of them but when I think about the outstanding series just two name come in my mind

1)Outstanding Chemistry between the main lead including face expression its very tough to impress by face expression

2) Investigation and link between the cases

3) The two main lead not like each other but best friend in the end who sacrifice their own life for other

4)Create miss understanding between each other to protect his partner from evil

5) Royal Image many people follow him (in Untamed Lan Zhan has a personality and in under the power Lu Yi has that image)

6) Story of main lead background impact on his present life

I still finding another series like both of above
There are many but the standard are not high like The Untamed and Under The Power

Both are adaptation of BL webnovel...both has suspense and mystery...Both are double male lead drama...

I didnt believe that i will find another drama thats so great as Untamed but i found it. I can see too similarities in Wei Wuxian and Ying Kong Shi characters. Maybe you will find first two episodes of Ice Fantasy boring but you can believe me its worth it.

RotCH (or any of the versions: 1983, 1995, 2006, etc.) is really similar in terms of:

- MC is an anti-hero that is misunderstood by others for their heretic/unorthodox ways
- plot talks about their journey, from childhood to adulthood and how they resolve their conflicts 16 years later (YES, both have a time-skip of exactly 16 years)
- themes of friendship, justice, righteousness, family, revenge, etc.

what's different is that there's romance in RotCH

Pretty dudes! Bromance! Fantasy, magic, both made me weepy in parts. Also did I mention pretty men with nice long hair? Yes!

With The Untamed you have a Chinese drama that manages to turn subtextual bromance into an art form.

S.C.I Mystery is also adapted from a BL novel and just like The Untamed, they were not afraid to show that part XD

Note for TU: TU while adopted from a bl novel, portrayed the male leads as confidants with strong brotherhood, and only bits of queer subtle for the experienced bl enthusiasts, in respect to the original bl novel. Chinese censorship has transcended the bl novel into a critical series showcasing Chinese culture, music, sceneries, costumes, intriguing plot on the protagonist’s ordeals going against society, using unorthodox methods to fight evil and help the weak.

- Both dramas have some sort of time jump
- Both leads meet by some event
- Both have a sense of strong special "weapon"/power
- Both have cultivation
- Both have leads raising a child

- A certain character uses powers from the demons (makes them seem bad, but they are trying to use it for the greater good)
- Both ML's (except Wei Wuxian) are cold, and warm up to their significant other in the end
- Both ML's (except Wei Wuxian) all go through some long journey to search for their significant other
- Both ML's (except Wei Wuxian) regret a certain choice to help their significant other, and end up losing them
- Both ML's (except Lan Wangji) use a mask to hide from their significant other
- The FL of ALP and Wei Wuxian are mischief and silly, but smart
- FL of ALP and Wei Wuxian reborn/reincarnate, and become "weak"
- FL of ALP and Wei Wuxian have and left a big reputation to the people

Also, I cant help but draw comparison from wei wuxian and zhao feng both extremely value the people around them they are pure yet the world is making them suffer.

Like The Untamed also adapted from novel and features BL characters. Bromance is major plot line in the drama. Like Untamed also focuses on crime solving but both of them are on different level.

Good-looking cast + bromance in both. Have a different story but the whole might like it. If you liked The Untamed you might like this too.
