It will consume you

The way, how beautifully is the whole series filmed, eddited, and also big applause for the audio quality. I was falling in love more and more by every episode I watched.

I could talk about the perfection of these acting skills all day. From beautiful innocent smiles to those totally perfect teary scenes (especially in the end). The pure romance, love, and understanding which was portrayed by the main couple? Excuse me? Where did they find such good actors? It wasn't an act for me.

Xi Gu's whole backstory with his parents and his school life always gets to me and make me all emotional. It's so touching, as it's opposite to Hao's way of life. I loved the chemistry between them, the height difference, the smiles, emotions, everything was so well pictured.

Also, I can't forget about Sun Bo and Zhi Gang. They looked so cute together that I couldn't help but smile at little Bo. Also, Zhi's smile? Where can I gen one? I loved how they dealt with everything together. And how happy and emotional i got when they finally got Zhi's pa's permission.

For those who came this far and reading this, even if it's labelled as spoilers. Here it comes. Your eyes won't stay dry. Be sure of that. And if not even one tear will slide down your cheek, what kind of monster are you? When I first watched this emotional story, I watched it when it came out. But no longer after that, it may have been 3-4 months, I have watched it all over again in one night. I cried the whole 3 eps in row.

As you see, I'm writing this review after some time, after I binge watched it 2 nights in a row. I needed to buy a new pack of tissues for this. It's definitely different watching it, knowing how it all will end, and just like it's it's even more emotional.

I strongly recommend watching this show more than once. It's so pure, and I assure you that it will leave a strong impact on you.

Because great loves cannot be cured

A real masterpiece. I enjoyed every moment of it, and I've re-watched it three times, but I've only seen the last part once. And that was enough. Not because of what someone wrote about being tortured, but because it was emotionally draining. I remember finishing it at half past one at night and sobbing in the shower at half past six because I couldn't think of anything else. It was a hard day at work. There's a Hungarian chanson called "Because great loves cannot be cured". That's what the last part is about. Painful, heartbreakingly painful, but beautiful. When you love someone so much, you never really get over the loss, and it doesn't matter if we're talking about love or a family member. In time you learn to accept it, to move on with your life, but there are worse days, times when it hurts as much as the first day. And that's what it shows us, the times when it hurts so much and life goes on, but the great loves can't be cured.
I would certainly give it 10 points if they had chosen the alternative ending and everyone was happy at the end, but the truth is, it wouldn't have stayed with me all these years. Yu Xi Gu's life was a struggle until he accepted Xiang Hao Ting's deep and touching love, and life brings it so that everyone has to pay for this happiness. Xiang Hao Ting is left behind and must learn to live, even if it is not easy. The last episode almost belonged to another series, but it gave such deep acting, such emotions, so realistic, so moving, so unforgettable, and on such a wide palette that you rarely see in one piece. And that deep grief hasn't left me in the last 5 years, because unfortunately I could relate to it. I hope that one day there will be a sequel and this pain will go away, but I will never regret starting it, I will never regret finishing it, because I loved every single moment of it.

I don't care about anything else. As long as it can give the viewer romantic excitement, it's a 10 for me. I personally like Wayne Song's cheesiness in this series. To be honest, his character is a boyfriend material. I am now at episode 5 and I always wish for another episode to come out very fast. Unfortunately, I can't understand Chinese so I have to wait for the English sub.

With a lot of problems in the world nowadays, we need series like this for a temporary escape from reality. History series never fail to give me smile on my face.

AKA HIStory 3 The BL That Shall Not Be Named

The nerdiest tsundere nerd struggling orphan meets the premier himbo slack-wit jock of everyone's dreams who accidentally bullies him and then goes into a spiral of regret that turns into obsession and then deep pining love and adoration. Another one of those high school setting (but I make no case for it). This is remarkably soft with a sunshine/tsundere pairing. It's also high heat and very sexy.

Why 2/10? Ready? They kill the uke character. Then we get a whole final episode of our adorable himbo basically suffering and alone for the rest of his life. Because why not dwell on THAT?

If you decide to watch this I HIGHLY recommend stoping just before the end of Viki's ep 9, after they have moved in with each other and are cooking together. Just stop the show right there and don't watch anymore, pretend ep 10 doesn't exist. TRUST ME.

The side dishes are both out gay: an obsessive younger seme and a much older uke (we are talking May/December here, I think its 17 & 29) who the seme aggressively chases. Their story arc edges into obsessive and the sex is explicit. Also hot. These two get engaged in this series and then married in H4CTY. Also the idol character from H1SAFM shows up as the older uke’s cousin. (Just because, I guess.)

NOT RECOMMENDED if you're a completest and have to watch it all.

The ending is garbage.

I just watched this entire series and the ending should be told to everyone BECAUSE THEY KILL OFF Yu xi gu and I think everyone should be warned before watching it.

I literally bawled my eyes out because I wasn’t warned of the ending.
The story itself is super amazing and if u don’t care about death go ahead and watch it <3

Affectionate BL story

OMG. After have watched most of the chinese BL story. I could say this drama is really remarkable and very romantic. While the story line was really really good and all the actors did a very good job. This story has love hate relationship, friendships & understanding, family backup and even more.
Even though the ML love story is tragic but at last he embraced himself to let go of his love and move forward in the end. Actually i never thought the ML will die all.comof the sudden with an accident and it really broke my heart.
Anyways i would like to recommend this drama for the BL gene lovers to give a chance.

Just...........Wayne Song. No thoughts head empty

Let me preface this by saying that I didn't finish the series. I'm someone who for some reason hates curveballs in series so I read the reviews before starting it, and all of them mentioned that the last episode was terrible. The ratings supported these claims. So, I stopped right after the second to last episode. Since I didn't watch the last, my review encompasses episodes 1-9.

I actually liked the first two episodes or so, where they're "enemies" and Hao is bullying Xi Gu. They actually went for it and the harassment was pretty egregious, which many series don't dare to do. And Hao realizing he actually liked Xi Gu and asking his gay friend for advice was so wholesome. The series overall has a very sex positive message that surprised me quite a bit, I wasn't expecting it. And the friend group was very supportive and they tried to educate themselves for the sake of their friends which was awesome.
The main selling point of the series is the chemistry between the two main characters, it's honestly great. The actors do their best and there's plenty of cute (and spicy) scenes that are pretty good, very believable. And man, Wayne Song is so handsome so that's always appreciated. Blessed my screen and all that (and that's all my cringe quota for today so let's move on). And Hao caring for Xi Gu and getting him to eat and take care of himself was also very cute.

With that out of the way, I'll just say, Idk what the budget for this was, but the production is just not good. I caught multiple continuity errors, and it was so distracting, it kept taking me out of the scene. The dialogue can get pretty weird and goofy, and some of the jokes/humor didn't really land for me, I found it a bit... childish? I don't know how to explain it. But I guess that's just a personal preference of mine.
While Hao can be an incredible partner in many ways (he's caring, protective, attentive, etc.), he gave me the ick PLENTY of times. First of all, how is it justified that he treated his girlfriends like trash?? That was not cool. Second: he was SO horny skdj like episode 8 was crazyyyyy, my man was going THROUGH it. But the problem for me was that he kept pressuring Xi Gu to sleep with him, when the other was clearly anxious and insecure about it and just needed time and patience. Like bruh he was fully dry humping him throughout the episode, that would've made me soo uncomfortable if it were me. I guess they were going for the "dubious consent/he's clearly into it" trope that Asian BLs love so much, idk. Not a fan.
Secondary couple was a no-no for me. I honestly could live without age gap ships in BLs. That man was in his 30s dating a highschooler, like get your shit together please. And the friend (his partner) was whiny and jealous and possessive and it annoyed me a bit. Also, random note: he looked like a mix of Hyunjin from SKZ and Mark Pakin from GMMTV to me lmao
I liked Hao's father as a character though. Complex, layered, realistic. Wasn't fully redeemed, wasn't fully hateful either. Just conflicted. Good work on that.

Overall: some scenes were good (mostly the ones between the MCs), the story is cute and wholesome (maybe a more mature version of Heartstopper if you will), and I skipped a LOT of stuff so... yeah. Bit of a mixed bag. Would watch an edit on YT, but I wouldn't rewatch. Sorry

This might contain a bit of spoilers

I haven't finished this yet but I already love it! I know that suddenly liking someone out of the blue is out of nowhere and quite non sense, but I can tell you that I've been in a similar situation before, I was attracted to the same sex for the first time and I didn't even know their name lol (they were a schoolmate and they weren't even someone I'd call good looking, I just liked how they were).

The acting is good but there were times where I felt it's a bit exaggerated or just not right but it's fine though. The story line though is quite nice, it's something that a lot of teens could relate to, especially to people that liked the same sex for the first time. The background story of the main character is heartbreaking. So if you want something maybe relatable, heart wrenching, cute, sweet and hot? Then this is a big recommendation!!! Just a warning though, there is a forced kiss in ep 2(?) It was by a side couple

I'd definitely would do a rewatch :)))

So i want to write a review before i forget what i want to say. First, this series reminds me a lot with Gu Hai & Bai Luo Yin, each of the character bit similar. The way Xiang Hao chasing Yu Xi it's like the way Gu Hai chasing Luo Yin. Yu Xi wich is the poor man was liked by Xiang Hao. I think they want to make it a lil bit like Addicted, but the way this series built relationship between two leads is just to fast. At first i have no idea why Xiang Hao can like Yu Xi, then i realised it was because he pity him. This plot also has similiar plot with Addicted, But they can not make it "strong" so i need short periode to understand. Beside Addicted, this also reminds me with 2 moons 2. Their gank kinda similar.

Second, i don't really like the side couple, they just too so much fast more than main couple so i couldn't feel and get their chemistry nor the story.

Third, These are the good point so far: The acting of the leads or the supports actor were good. The soundtrack was nice to hear. Visual was good. I have no problem, so far this is my favorite HIStory from all their sequel.

I started watching this drama without high expectations, but my mind is blown! The story is excellent; actors and character developments are amazing. Both the main and side actors gave their best. I was skeptical because the main actors are not good looking, but the chemistry was just wow. I'm just going to say that I'm a girl and my heart and (ovaries) will explode? So erotic, some scenes I watched few times!!! Can't wait to finish it?
I think that's all. Oh yeah it's 18+

Update: (SPOILERS AND SUGGESTION)

*you should skip the last episode, I was in shocked how they finished the story. However it was worth, watching

if you like happening endings don't watch this

I was really into it, till episode 6 I wanted to read other people's comments about the "second couple" big mistake or time saver because I decided to watch till I was happy with the story before MC dies because ain't nobody got time for a bad ending. If you like happy endings, don't watch this or your heart will break into a hundred million pieces
