Mehh
So to be honest.Wtf.
I watched this like a few years ago actually but i still remember all the plot twists and it's uhm interesting.
( A series that destroyed it's own main plot)
SPOILERS
Story:
This is that type of drama where plot twist get into plot twists and at some point you can predict something is about to happen or even just the plot itself! The story is so toxic i barely could reach ep.15.
I don't remember what episode it was where the big plot twist came that she actually dind't have leukemia, and that her current HUSBAND is all behind it. Talk about betrayal...and it's not the fact that she's not actually gonna die, also that the guy planned all of this to happen! Since ep1! And that ruined it for me cuz how can you say the main plot is fake?? the main description given of the series is all a lie??? Like your telling me the main plot I got interested in is fake??
Quick reminder that they just continued there relationship...as if it's nothing?? This is not even love in my opinion...it's like the series is promoting toxic relationships...
Acting:
Okay they did go by the horrible script but i still feel like it's too dry and basic...this series couldn't have been more even with other actors cuz the story just sucks.
Anyway That's it, just my opinion you can still love it if you want ofc!!

Don't look at the ratings!
This is my first time writing a review. I really felt like I had to write one for this drama because the low ratings just don't give it justice.First of all, after reading the plot you may feel it is a cliché story where the male and famale lead enter a contract marriage and eventually fall in love. Sure it is, but the way the story develops and the way the plot unfolds is terrific. Each and every episode ended with a cliff hanger and it forced you to watch the next episode. But yes, I did feel it was a drag sometimes, but the drama would quickly catch back with it's momentum.
I personally feel all the actors were assigned the right roles and they have done a great jobs. The actors portrayed even the slightest emotions perfectly. And most importantly, all the actors/actresses were good looking. Their character development was shown beautifully.
I don't understand Chinese, so all I would look in the songs would be the tune. Each song was perfect for its situation, it's rhythm, flow and lyrics (the subber was grateful enough to translate the lyrics for the first few episodes).
I don't generally re-watch a drama, so if I have given a 10 for it means it's totally worth your time. Even when I hadn't finished half the drama I was already researching on the second season and hoping for a third one (although chances for a third one are pretty slim).
In the end all I can say is that this is the perfect drama for you if you if you enjoy rich man/poor woman, contract marriage and male chases female first kind of dramas.
P. S. I watched this season on drama cool.

Chinese Dramas need to improve
The first 10 episodes are endeed cliches for a contract marriage, rich boy-poor girl drama; not much issues there, although one could sense the attitude or character of the ML - one word, abusive. Then, it became true in the next episodes (up to 12 at least) - the ML abusive and controlling attitude.Yes, it could happen in reality. However, this drama seems all systems go for the "glorification" of an abusive/controlling person more so if doing it on the one you profess to care or love.
This attitude seems common in Chinese Dramas. Does this suggest that the movie/drama makers: producers, directors, screen-writers have this attitude? If so, then China is hopeless as this would seem to suggest that this kind of attitude is pervasive in Chinese society in general - I hope I am wrong. Where is Confucianism now? Gone?
It seems that only few producers/directors exist in China. These few at least were able to produce good quality dramas - but only a few so far. What come to mind are: A love so beautiful; The love you gave me; Love is sweet. At least these few can be of hope for improvement of quality of Chinese Dramas.

Around episode 9-10 though that ALL changed. Everything was good until the whole plot did a 180 and that's when I started to dislike it. This was when it switched from my watching out of enjoyment to watching just to get to the end. If they had just ended the season after episode 9, then I probably wouldn't have started disliking certain characters.
I honestly think that the writers didn' t know what else to do, so they decided to create a bunch of random plot twists and take turns drawing them from a hat. Well.. that was a BAD IDEA. I didn't like it. They really shouldn't have done that.

And I didn't mention that trying to say he was too drunk is ridiculous. A man in love would not put himself in that position, to begin with. A woman can't force a man. Unless it is rape it takes two to tango. A man in love wouldn't care if his woman had been 'spoiled'. He would want to find her at all costs because she is a human being in danger because of him. I am going to continue to watch because I am so hoping that this was just some trick to fool the bad guy. The husband is a sleazebag. you spend the whole movie trying to convince the audience how much in love the husband is, and she gets kidnapped, and right off the bat he goes out to a bar and lets another woman fool around with him. That's not even close to love. Was this review helpful to you?

OMG!!! Xu Kaicheng so handsome here, I adopted you as one of my favorite actor now!!! HAAHAHHAHAA...
Xu Kaicheng and Simona Wang really match each other in this drama. XU KAICHENG when flirted Simona Wang, THE BESTTTT!!
Other person character is good too. But i felt the ending is a little rush. Hope season2 will make more their lovey dovey side.
I really like this drama because they placed POV at the end for each episode. My favorite scene is :
1. EP 08 when Xia Lin back to home after Yizhou said don't enter his room again
2. EP 18 POV when Yizhou miss Xia Lin
can't wait for season 2!!

Alright so I know everyone is all up in arms about the big plot twist that happens around episode 11 and YES I agree it was crazy and he is psychotic BUT then again, I’m fully aware this is a fictional drama. If I gotta be honest I was intrigued throughout the whole thing (even if in the second half it was more disbelief at the absurdity).
That’s why I would recommend watching this drama just for the laugh value at the second half but I would not recommend this as rewatch type thing.
