First Love Perfectly Portrayed
OMG THIS IS SO GOOD FOR NO REASON. I'm not exactly sure why so many people are so against this drama, but like I said once before, I get easily impressed with dramas so, don't take my review seriously seriously (I guess??). There was a lack of kissing, but honestly they should have just kept it as a high school drama if it was going to be like that intentionally. I get that some of the actors were teens at the time, but in the end the result was okay I guess. I liked the other interactions so I guess the lack in that department can be overlooked, especially if you're someone who doesn't like a of of those kinds of scenes.Xia Miao Miao is a really impressive female lead. I feel like her character development is very significant, considering the fact her decisions were made based on the development of her character, specifically her confidence in herself and her talent. Liang You Nian is CUTE. Yes, I know I'm always putting down that the male lead is cute, but he really is. I love his interactions with his friends, it just goes to show how well they all act. Lin Kai Tuo is superior, I don't care what anyone says. My favorite line from him was when he said something like "I pissed her off until she exploded, and I confessed my love for her. Then I pissed her off even more". He Xin also had some good character development, she learned how to build herself up, even after everything she got through. Lin Xia is the most relatable character ever. It's so easy to give advice to your friends about love, but it's like love treats you like the plague; you don't get infected, and it wants you to infect others. Wang Yi Chao is a great friend, even though he is a little shameless whenever he was pursuing Fang Xiao Yue. Fang Xiao Yue is actually one of my favorite supporting characters I've seen so far in dramas. She wasn't even interested in the male lead, which is something that rarely happens. I feel like there was a lot of supporting characters, so I'll just stop here.

This drama taught me to be patient and somehow I finished all 36 episodes! A little thing called first love centers around Miao Miao who develops a crush on the perfect senior Liang You Nian in high school. Miao Miao tries hard and slowly changes from a classmate, HeXin's friend, to becoming Liang You Nian's confidante and girlfriend. It is a very, very, very slow burn romance as we spend over half the drama watching Miao Miao and Liang You Nian dance around their feelings, drift apart due to misunderstandings before someone finally confesses! Hallelujah! Along the way, the show covers a lot of deep topics and I'm really glad that our two leads have a great support network helping them through it all.
I personally think this drama should have been 20 episodes, there were a lot unnecessary scenes that should have cut, such as : the teacher love-line, the roommate who needed therapy, the Frank character etc. Over time, the poor acting became even more noticeable. Liang You Nian had several moving scenes but unfortunately the acting was stiff and wooden, I couldn't connect to the character at all. In contrast Lin Kai Tou and HeXin were so good, their arc was compelling and we could feel something from their acting. I would have liked Xia to have more depth to her character, she was portrayed as the girl who ate snacks 24/7 and it got boring quickly.
I also want to mention, the very obvious ppl and the styling of Miao Miao in the beginning. I can't understand who approved that but in some scenes she looked like a yellow highlighter.
Overall, I 'd recommend watching this if you are bored or tired and are looking for something which doesn't tax your brain cells.

It is your typical like romantic drama, where like the girl falls in love with the guy and yeah the whole story. But I felt for me anyways, it was a little draggy! - and a lot of misunderstandings that were just dragged on for quite a while as well, which annoyed me a little bit. But for me even if I don't really really like the drama, I actually still watch it, skipping some things, just because I want to see what happens at the end.
I mean the character development of the Main Character Miao-Miao Xia, was really interesting, you literally see her change every few episodes, and she looks soo different as well! But the main guy kinda just looked the same throughout the whole thing. Yeah, I don't think this show was for me! I think it was a little too draggy for me and the storyline went on a bit too long for me. I mean the change of the Main Girl was good, but I think the whole story was a little messy for me.

The story and characters are simple and the first half is childhood and the later half gets to the romance.
The secondary characters are pretty good with a special shout out to the teacher romance which is unusually amusing.
The product placement is so obvious and written into the story, viewers may think that sunscreen is the best gift you can give a friend. Yikes.
Also the hair stylist likes helmet hair and it’s so stiff and shiny that it looks almost like everyone’s hair has locks of grey. So odd.

First, the female lead improves by the time from a teenager to a young adult. From having braces, to start using makeup, creams and trying to find her own style as we all do during this period. It was not the makeover that we can usually see on dramas. It is really well done.
Then, the male lead is not pushing down the female lead and that is refreshing. For once, the ML is quite the opposite.
Finally, the female lead is really smart from the beginning. I mean she is still a teenager, but she is not naive or so. She knows what she wants and she can say no when it is needed.
To conclude, it was a really great drama, quite realistic. And I loved the FL little sister!

This story is so beautiful and innocent, I love it. This drama has 100% introduced me to a different variation of how love is. After finishing this it had me thinking about experiences I've had with love and it has possibly influenced how I will handle my future relationships.
I love how Miaomiao changed for the better to be with Younian. It's so pure and I love it.
As a romance enthusiast, I recommend watching this. It's worth it!

JUST A LITTLE BEAUTIFUL STORY!
This is one of my fav cdramas i have watched. It was fun, lovely, cute, nice and wonderful. I dont usually write reviews but this was soooo wonderful i had to write an review. The FL fell for the ML and started to change herself to a wonderful person. As a person who doesnt believe it the highly coincidental world where both the leads find themselves in embarrassing situations or meet everywhere and god knows clear misunderstandings like a everyday, this drama clearly shows love doesnt come to you unless u take a step forward on your own.The FL who is not talented and lost hope when she did bad and was shy suddenly found herself changing to be a person worthy of her crush. She not only becomes beautiful but also with her hard work and determination because a talented person. Ppl fear a lot of things but this drama clearly put fear in front and overtook it. The ML was outstanding and an ace like any other lead but unlike other dramas where the FL fell for a bad boy, this time fell for a kind and nice person. The ML was not cocky, rude and full of himself. Idk why they always make bad boys the girls type but this drama clearly broke that rule. And ofc, if there is a nice male lead, there is always a bad boy 2nd lead. This drama gave a happy ending for both the 2nd leads falling together. Even the teachers falling in love together showing love got no age.
Even though this drama is different for other dramas it is somewhat similar too. But this drama had no coindence expect the fact that FL lived near the ML and befriended the 2nd leads who were already related to the ML. and finding a lighthouse used by the ML.
This drama also showed me that love isnt something you need to be afraid of and can change you all together to a better person. As far as i see it, this drama gives hope and shows ppl love can change. For all the unrequited love ppl out there this is a drama for them but those single ppl like me too can see and melt their hearts. I would recommend this drama to anyone starting to see cdramas.

If you get pass the acting, this is an overall worth the watch yes the lead actor is a bit stoic and yes delete this may seem a bit over the top with her rush acting but this is what having an overwhelming crush is about you don't get to know how you up or know how you treat them. The story seems overall good. Thats how you would probaly reaaly act in your first love. The character improvement is good too. Every first is overwhelming and considering that supposedly this is their first love, this is justifiable. I love how the lead actor is seeing her worth and know that they probably dont see it themselves due to the influence they hav on the other hut i also like how they can be firm like miao2. No one else can stand up to i fluence first hand but she tried even though it was probably wrong. The acting does seem cringy at first but no one here really know how to act when infront of their love one especially the first one. The second lead does seem to be rushed (ehem hexinxkaitou) but it kinda redeemed itself in a way. I liked how they try to include kos of the actors story line too except for xia (lead's initiat bestfriend). Overall worth the watch. The story line seems slow to kdrama viewers since they are used to 10-16 ep timeline but it was very bearable. There are times for face palming due to timidness of the female leadbut thats understandable in a realistic point. She got no basis how to act around an overflowing emotion. The lead actor acting is a bit bland but was okay plus it was kinda worth it as how knowing your emotions as you go through an intense love is kinda clueless and tbh most guys ARE clueless. Defenitely recommendable. Besides the chemistry was good you almost wished they kinda developed outside of the projec.. I know i did.Was this review helpful to you?

This is a nice coming of age drama with a cute romantic story and an overall character development for the leading and supporting cast. This drama seems to be targeting the younger viewers since, although the actors went all the way from high school to graduate from college, the love story took a long time to flourish and it lacked vitality. The romantic moments were reduced to just long lasting glances, barely holding hands, and interrupted kisses that left the viewer just hoping for more. Overall, the drama is cute but the romance story was not satisfying. Was this review helpful to you?
Liang You Nian made me cry in the last episode and the ending is perfect. Xia Miao Miao was saying Thank you in many episodes constantly and calling Senior until the last episode :)

true honest feelings
this show, WAS THE BEST, the problem is he did not deserve her, im sorry they broke up for how long? A YEAR?? i thought it was gonna be so good but atleast it didnt pull a 2521 on me by breaking up forever or something, the first review i wrote about this was "THEY BROKE UP FOR A YEAR?? HOW AND WHY ATLEAST ITS A HAPPY CDRAMA ENDING" i was really still trying to cope with the breakup since i watched the last 6 eps in one sitting- anyways i dont know what else to say, but you should watch it if you have free timeWas this review helpful to you?
It was just "okay"
Talk about glow up! FL went from this nerdy average looking teen to being gorgeous. I do like that fact that no one really judged her looks and wanted to be her friend. When the ML talked to her, I realised that he was a green flag. This was really too PG for me. It is a very slow burn drama and they had no visible lips kissing scenes and I think that was because of their age.
Overall, it was just "okay".
