This show is ridiculously absurd
At first I only watched this because men’s health and all that, but as the show progressed, I realized that this entire show is bullshit. The title of this show is definitely appropriate, cause people in this show are definitely screwed up in the head. one male lead, Hongyo, completely forgot how he took advantage of Terada when they were young, and now he’s f*cking doing it again. how nice it must be for him to have selective memory loss. 😌The second male lead told Terada to her face that he doesn’t see her as anything special, that’s she’s basic as hell, and he only wants to marry her to use her as a means to an end. the men in this show are shallow, sexist and manipulative as f*ck, avoid this show at all costs. Was this review helpful to you?
My most favorite drama in the last 3 years
I rated 10 for actorr/actesses and the plot.Kaka fukaka = can or cannot
One guy being straightforward while another was too thoughtful. The latter was one of those real men in capitalism world. With odd plot and awkward ending, everything makes more sense if you understand that the lead actor had Asperger syndrome. He knows what he wants but not what others want. The writer tried to tell us in literally every episodes but most clearly in the last one through the book written by the male leader. Working with Asperger people myself, I appreciate how thoughtful the writer was.
The question that was answered in the last scene hit me hard. If you are open-minded and live your life in the way ‘This could be better’ way, I guess it might hit you hard too.
Being a semi-erotic drama, this movie really drives the butterflies in your tummy in a unusually pleasant way. To me, this is far from hentai. It is not easy for making this kind of drama without being called hentai but this crews nailed it.

Confused and disappointed
Kakafukaka had an interesting setup but honestly... it just didn’t work for me. the story felt so dragged out and awkward, and not in a cute or meaningful way — just frustrating. The characters kept going in circles, and the “romance” didn’t feel romantic at all, just messy and uncomfortable. There were moments where I thought it could get better, but it never really went anywhere.
Visually it was okay and the actors tried their best, but the writing didn’t give them much to work with.
Unless you’re really curious or love slow awkward dramas with no real payoff, you’re not missing much.

A modern take on young love in your 20s.
Judging by reviews, I see this drama is one where you either love it or hate it. I personally loved it and it will be my first review on here. I think if you like a show like sex & the city, then this drama is for you. It has fresh and open dialogue about love, obsession, traditonal values,...and yes sex! I've never seen a Jdrama quite like this. The first episode alone tackles a subject with the male lead that is usually never discussed. I will also say I loved the side characters as well in this drama. Plus, the opening song is hella catchy.Positives:
Characters: This show has basically only 4 characters and it focuses solely on them and their relationships with each other. I love that because with the limited time, the show is able to delve into past events/back story of why each person has their hang ups and makes the choices they make.
Female Lead: Terada is the main character and I found her so funny. There were moments where I was cracking up. She has a hard time after college and finds herself working at a grocery store part time barely getting by. She needs to find herself and find what is special about her. I liked how she seemed real and relatable.
Male Lead: Tomo is hard to understand at first because he doesn't know how to express his emotions, and at other times he's shockingly blunt and honest. He's a writer that doesn't write and has no motivation. He has a problem only Terada can seem to fix.
2nd male lead: Hase was one of the most interesting characters to me. He is confident and polite, but with a lot of mental hangups from his childhood.
2nd Female lead: Funny Akari. She's odd and quirky and is not your typical side female character. She idolizes and is a fan of Tomo because of his previously published books.
CHEMISTRY: The chemistry is off the charts with Terada and Tomo. Just the way Tomo would look at Terada with smouldering eyes in some scenes..ahh.
Love Scenes: If you are sick of the stiff kisses in dramas where the female lead looks shocked, eyes bulging outta her head, while the male lead barely touches her lips then Kakafukaka is for you. There are definitely some steamy heart palpitating scenes haha.
Negatives: Not much negative to say. This drama was a wild crazy ride. It was different in a good way. Rewatch value 10/10.

I have never ever wrote review before but I guess I have to write for this one.I have never watched something like this before, it was so new story for me which was kinda silly and childish, I hate the fact that this girl couldn't say no to anything, she was just accepting everything and it make me to dislike her, also main boy character was so dumb, what he was even thinking no one knows... This story is example how we shouldn't live, how we shouldn't act...
The second lead characters would make better couple
For me ending was so disappointing and also dumb, my brain couldn't proceed what just happened
(maybe it's my problem).
was it happy ending or not? Why did I watch it in one day?why did I spent that much time on this show? This is all I think after watching "kakafukaka"
I watched this series cause it had only good reviews when I checked, so I am sorry to say it but I didn't like it, I didn't like music, story, acting... I liked nothing about it. I definitely wouldn't watch it again cause for me it was just a wasting of time.

Now onto the not so good. The story and character development were the main problems. The lead character Terada-san's indecisiveness got on my nerves. Hongyo-san also annoyed me with his hopelessness and dependency on everyone around him. I said kimochi warui 気持ち悪い several times when he was on screen and especially with his interactions with Terada when they were alone. I was perplexed as to why she would agree to enter into this type of relationship with him given the back story of their relationship in Jr high. You felt used back then so you're going to sign yourself up to be used again now. HUH?! I also thought Hase-san was creepy in his interactions with Terada. His reasons for his proposal are absurd. And Kuritani only wanted Terada around because she cooked and cleaned. There is a thin line between being/feeling needed by others and being used and Terada-san seems like a woman with low self-esteem who trying to find herself by allowing every other character on the show to use her. It's hard to root for her when I want to shake her so badly and yell "WTF are you doing with yourself?!" Though the characters worked out their feelings by the end I don't feel like anything was resolved or improved on. At the end I just asked myself WTF did I just binge? What was the point of this?

So genuine..
Well, this is not a deep story and complicated behind all of the character..yes it is a story behind every character to describe psychological reason...even the Hongyo didn't have any background why he became unawareness about what he felt..he just have the simple thought about everything..he didn't know how to love, he didn't know what is the name of his feelings inside, he just know "like" and "hate"..for me, it's so sad to saw a man like that..he just did what people asked him to do just like a kid..that's why Hongyo prefer to write, even though that's not a a complex feeling either..he only can described it in simple words..that's made me cried feel sorry for his soreness that he can told to other people..he just felt sad alone and it must be very lonely inside..Terada is also a simple woman that with her shallow thought, can not dig inside Hongyo's mind...and she assumed everything miserable by herself because of her bad experiences..
I felt sorry and cry for Hase too because he needs unconditional love that he can not got from his parents. I can feel his loneliness too..
I like the drama because the story line was not to complicated and straight to the point and focus on their problem..not spice up by other story that I always got from korean drama..the korean drama usually too much story besides the the main character and it takes a long run to watch it..
Why Terada want to help Hongyo, that's because she is in a bad situation after her boyfriend broke her up and she has a memory with Hongyo..but after she helped him, she fell in love again with Hongyo...
In this drama, we learnt how important the communication to help us understand about out thoughts, our feeling and how missunderstanding will lead to the bad feeling and bad decision..
Love the drama and the romantic scene is also unique and cute..

This drama is one of the best when it comes to how real this issue is displayed. I may not agree with his method of treatment but I have to give it to the writer that this is very good writing about a very real condition that affects a lot of young and old men.I'm a medical student and I can say that for what we've seen so far (only 4 episodes are out by the time of this review) everything about his condition seem very real. I don't know anything about the writer but they may know someone who has it or they themselves have this condition. Erectile dysfunction is a very common condition that affect a lot of men, normally in their later years but more and more people of younger ages experience it.
Many factors can lead to erectile dysfunction like chemichals, stress, life style, a trauma etc.
What we know s far is that:
1. He has had this condition for 2 years.
2. He hasn't been able to write novels since then.
3. He used to have a girlfriend at that time which lead to their break-up.
4. He is "cured" when he is with the main heroine.
This leads me to believe that he had a traumatic experience in a sexual matter about 2 years ago which lead to this condition. It may be linked to the main heroine. Maybe his first time was with our main heroine and when she left him after that and pretended he was invisible it left him scarred and something opened up that scar 2 years ago. I may be wrong as this is all speculations.
The fact that this condition lead to depression and insomnia is very true as most people experience that once they understand that something is wrong with their bodies and they can't fix it. Most people would visit a doctor once it comes to that, and if you think you have erectile dysfucntion I will recommend you see a sexologist and psychiatrist. There are ways to fix this condition, be it medicine or surgery.
This condition affects a small percent of young people like him, about 2-5% and it is very sad to see it affect such a young person in reproductive age.
This is a perfect set-up and I think the main heroine will be able to "fix" his problem.

Definitely just a bunch of adults who are living their own lives and happen to live together in this share house.
Honestly my favorite character (even though yes she was a pushover at times) was the female lead. Maybe it was because we get to listen in on what she's thinking at every single moment..and that makes her more relatable and human. Personally I think the actress did a great job at breathing life into a character that could've been like a...tuna.
The drama isn't going to have a plot that will make sense. I think in that sense it's much like reality. There's no set ending and people make their choices and live with the consequences of those choices. Or in this drama's case, love/like make people do weird things. You know the saying "When in Love" is basically this drama in a nutshell.
So even though I was questioning where the plot was heading towards, I couldn't help but finish all 10 episodes (20 minutes each is not bad) in one sitting.

The only thing that could've saved this from getting the minimum grade would have been if one of the following two changes to the script had been applied:
1) All of a sudden, Jim Caviezel's character from "Person Of Interest" is magically transported inside the shared-house during the last breakfast scene, and of course he does what he's best at, shooting the male lead's kneecaps off right on the spot! (see if that brings up a reaction on that insufferable fish-face of his!)
2) Right after the last scene, an extra scene with the caption "some time later": we see a prison guard escorting the new inmate, Hongyo, to his cell. The prison guard opens the cell and introduces Hongyo's cell mate, a 7-feet, 250-pounds giant with a scary face and an evil smirk right in the middle of it: "This is Bubba, you guys are bound to get along just fine...you see, he also tends to "GET STRAIGHT TO THE POINT!". Caption: "And they lived *painfully* ever after"...

I genuinely have a loss for words right now. I finished this show roughy 30 minutes ago and I'm still looking at the screen with the most lost look on my face.I hate that I ranked this show so low because it's really not a terrible show, it's quick and the characters are really interesting but... I just feel like there are some HUGE gaps that must have been left out to make this show end as quickly as it did. I take nothing away from the actors, all of them did amazing and worked with what storyline they had. But.... in the long run the story just feels incomplete.
The FL made me want to scream half the time, I get it -- she was popular in school and I know growing up humbles us (most of the time) but it gave zero information as to why and how she went from being positive and bubbly to being extremely gullible and introverted. How the hell 2 men can tell you to your face they have never loved/liked anyone before and have used women before because they felt nothing, only for them to both tell you they like you and you believe them!? I don't understand. I really don't. I get it's nice to be wanted -- but in what dalulu land you have to live in to put yourself through that?
And by the end, we still aren't told if they ever actually liked her or not. I was also pissed that at one point when SL talked about kicking everyone out of the house so it could just be them too, she should have put her foot down from the start and been like "no. That's not fair to them" (WHO WERE THERE BEFORE HER!) -- it wasn't until a little bit later that she was the one to say she would leave. *insert dramatic eye roll*
I still don't understand the point of the second girl being there. She was like a yoyo of emotions and ...I don't even have a word for it honestly. I feel like her and FL really could become good friends if she would kinda chill out, because in the scenes where they are just talking like normal friends, it's like the most normal scenes through the whole show that actually make full sense. Lol I know that's weird to say but I'm not sure I can explain it any better. Those two should have moved out and just got a place together. Lol Leave the messy dudes behind.
There really just seems like way to many gaps for this show to fully make sense and I feel like if I read the manga, it would be so much better and worse for my emotions. Lol Because honestly neither of them are what she needs in her life. The emotionally dead guy or the guy that has a complex to make mommy happy and is manipulative.
I got way to much beef with this show. Lol
